Mark is as good a teacher as he is a bass player. He has the ability to break down all the elements needed to give a good final product the same way a coach in sports or classroom teachers does!

Thank you Mark. Timing has been my main difficulty especially sixteenth notes and mixed triplets. Hope you can shed more light on this matter. Kind regards from Najib your bass student.

Thanks Mark. Regarding technique, so true. I've been learning to play with my fingers after years of playing with a pick. Rhythmically, I am having problems hitting the beat when I want because my finger technique still needs work. I keep going back to the pick because I have better control and better rhythm. Never thought of it in those terms before. Thanks.

3:54 JB's word alone about this aspect of learning a tune from scratch has a lot of cred for me, but now Mark states the same, it's The Way.

Makes perfect sense. If you don't have the technique, you won't have the rhythm.

You have to get to the proficiency where you don't have to think about technique, rhythm or even which notes you're going to play, etc. At that point, you can focus more on your timing.

10ths are very common intervals. You can have any number of intervals. You could literally have a 1,000th.

coming out of my "jimi hendrix copycat' phase to bass made me relearn hammerons pulloffs and slides to be in the pocket with a drummer and not just be 'look at me im shredding frantically like im alone in the room'
as much as i love jimi, try turning off his rhythm section in these new ai tools and you'll see his just a teenage wannabe shredder backed by gods

Posting your hang outs on Facebook is hindering your channels growth. Facebook is a dying medium and potential viewers aren't located there.

The other option is streaming directly from the website (for members) which I'll be doing shortly. Remember the live streams are a support element of the site for customers.
