Novel Synopsis:
At the start of my sophomore year, one late night while scrolling through social media, my boyfriend posted: "Childhood sweetheart romance can never compete with the serendipity of unexpected encounters."
He deleted it shortly after.
I called him immediately. On the other end, I could hear the chaotic noise of a nightclub-voices, music, clinking glasses, all blending into a cacophony.
"Dominic, where are you?" A sense of unease crept into my voice. "You're not in the dorm?"
"My dorm mates wanted to hang out for a drink," Dominic said nonchalantly. "Oriana, just get some rest, okay?"
I replied with a soft "Okay," hung up, quickly touched up my makeup, and rushed downstairs, phone in hand, heading straight for the west gate of the campus.
Just outside the gate was a street lined with mid-range bars, affordable yet decent. There were two or three spots Dominic and his crew frequented.
I checked them one by one. No luck.
Then, his cryptic post came back to me: "Childhood sweetheart romance can never compete with the serendipity of unexpected encounters." If he was looking for something new and exciting, he’d likely go for the best. So, I walked into the most upscale bar on the street.
Bingo.
I mean how stupid can Dominic be, he ruined his relationship with Oriana for someone who never liked him in the first place. I love the Oriana's dorm mates. They aren't taking any of Dominic's crap. They are like, "Julia ruined your life and you think you can just come running back after Oriana has moved on and her life is getting better?" Not on our watch." I was like, don't lie Dominic. Which friends do you know that hug and cuddle each other? Also, Dominic shouldn't be accusing anyone of cheating when he's always with Julia. I mean, really, who sits in a class they aren't even taking? Who clings to girls' boyfriends, follows them everywhere, and breaks them up? Dominic is so stupid. As Oriana said, whatever is between her and Sebastian is her business. Dominic is the lets who lets Julia ruin his relationship with Oriana. So he has no right to talk. Dominic doesn't even realize the reason he's failing that class is because of Julia. Sebastian shows he's more than just a bad boy. While Julia is ruining Dominic's life and grades. Julia is just a thief and a fake heiress who is really a gold digger who used Dominic like he tried to use her for money.
Yeah that's how messed up these guys are. They cling to other women under the guise of "sisters or friends" and yet the moment they see the female lead with another man they're like "who is this guy? What is your relationship with him?" the thing that I love about the female leads is that they know their place. They don't get involved with other guys until they've cut ties with the ex and moved on unlike some other worthless fools

It started off sad and typical but pleasantly pleased by the end of it
