It’s been an amazing 7 years on the farm here He said sitting right next to K who is smiling with her hand on his shoulder and gives him a kiss on his cheek The best wife and mom there ever was who takes care of all the chores and has such an endlessly beautiful smile

Ha ha, thanks for the clarification. We are so privileged to be a part of your farm/family life. You both make me smile (when I'm not sympathy crying that is). I have a heap of footage (photos only) of my sick horse and his slow road to recovery from a bad bout of hoof abscesses, I'm thinking about doing a TH-cam video of that. It's gorey but I think it's a valuable resource as so many people would have put their animals to sleep long before this. You'll be able to grow more veggies at your new place with all the sunlight the ground will see (compared to the amount of sun Squash Hollow Farm's ground received). Where would we be before TH-cam. Did you ever get to milk any goats? Couldn't find any footage on your channel.

My Family and I are looking at recording and documenting our journey/move from the suburbs to the outer country areas in Brisbane, Australia. We hope to promote and inspire many other Australians to live the more sustainably 🙂

Bittersweet. I am glad I got to see this when it first came out, my life has been crazy as well. I am going to finish my associates degree this semester and just started applying for the school of my dreams. I finally took a chance, and did something scary. Like you guys have done so much this year. I commented on a TH-cam video, commented during a live stream and started learning a new language, and really commiting to learning as much as I can about homesteading so I can give to my children what you have given to me. I am so happy for you guys, and I cant wait for the second book in your series. 😀

We started with chickens in May, then went straight to two cows in June. That was four years ago, now we have pigs, goats, sheep, turkey, ducks, geese, guinea fowl, horses and donkey added to the mix. 💖

How long of a growing season do you have? Last frost to 1st frost there in PA? What a fun place to try out everything you want! Are you going to put in an orchard again? Excellent Tribute to Squash Hollow Farm and your time working that land... with lasting benefits. You've done so much good there. If I had bucks and ability, I'd buy that land with the intent to continue permaculture trends. New owners - think: swales & berms... and cover crops... and so much more... everyone will be fine :) Love the fairy dust reference... everything returns to earth... it's all good. So many beautiful baby shots... the growing time of your experience at your first farm... way better than a family photo album.
That video was a killer lol! I’m bawling! My husband and I have been in our current home and trickled into farming steadily here. We’re currently building and I don’t know how I’ll say goodbye. I also grew up in this house so I’ve only lived elsewhere 4 years of my life. Our 3 babies were born in this home (literally, I had home births lol). This video pulled all the heart strings!
It's so emotional leaving a once loved home but the joys and excitement of your new place will soon take over and that sadness will just be a distant memory. Good luck for the future.

So great, I cried with you guys. We close on our home next Wed and then are headed out across the country to our new life in NC. I haven't cried yet in packing up our house but I feel it coming. So happy for you guys and looking forward to the sequel.
Excellent Tribute to Squash Hollow Farm and your time working that land... with lasting benefits. You've done so much good there. If I had bucks and ability, I'd buy that land with the intent to continue permaculture trends. New owners - think: swales & berms... and cover crops... and so much more... everyone will be fine :) Love the fairy dust reference... everything returns to earth... it's all good. So many beautiful baby shots... the growing time of your experience at your first farm... way better than a family photo album.
That video was a killer lol! I’m bawling! My husband and I have been in our current home and trickled into farming steadily here. We’re currently building and I don’t know how I’ll say goodbye. I also grew up in this house so I’ve only lived elsewhere 4 years of my life. Our 3 babies were born in this home (literally, I had home births lol). This video pulled all the heart strings!
