Thanks for the review! I just bought the same cognito kit for my 06’. Installing this weekend, we’ll see how well it works with 35” muds on 20” rims….I’m hopeful it will at least prolong the life of my idler/pitman arms.
Bro, this exact thing happened to me and my wife. Ended up in a ditch. Going 70 around a curve, pulling an 18’ low boy, on a two lane highway. If it had happened a little sooner or a little later I wouldn’t be writing this right now. Happened three years ago. Just replaced the pitman arm and idler arm that we replaced when that happened. Probably didn’t need to but my paranoi over that incident made me do it. I am contemplating getting these but I just did all that work and paid for the alignment. I wonder if you have to align it again after installing them.
Can anyone tell me if these have been holding up for your trucks long term ? Hoping for maybe a year or two review..? Have any of you noticed any other parts excessively wearing out maybe due to the upgrade ? I have a 11” Cognito lift and running 24” rims and 37” tires. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!! This seems to be about the only kit available I cannot even find originals for my 05 1500hd 4wd.

Yea I just snapped the ball joint on my pitman arm and lost ALL STEERING. Does this prevent that from happening? Talk about scary as hell!

Great video and brief install. My question is how does it feel when in the mountains on lane changes with a trailer or a good load?
On the pitman side, did you just use the big installed or with the lock washer. I can't seem to get the nut started with the lock washer.
