  • I test a preproduction sample of the Aurora Miniatures DF4B locomotive. This video demonstrates the preproduction sample operating under typical real-life usage conditions.
    Results:
The product is capable of traversing a large layout with less-than-perfect trackwork without any difficulties or derailments.
The product is capable of pulling 50 HO scale freight cars on level track.
    DISCLAIMER:
The preproduction sample shown does not have full features which are found on the final product such as: LED lighting, operating radiator fans, smoke generator and prototypically accurate sounds.

So thats what you've been up to the past little while.
I've pre-ordered the SD60 and a bunch of the containers and was going to reach out to see if I could be first inline for the release/review ?

I am not in charge of this particular manufacturing project, but my best guess is 2nd half of 2021.

@@DBRXCustomRailroadModels thanks for the estimate! Was the sound recorded from a real Df4b? I showed this video to a friend who is very intune with the sound decoders, he felt the sound quality have room to improve. I personally seen df4b running, they generate a somewhat of a burbling sound from the exhuast rather than a faint chug like a GEVO, which this pre-production sample sounds like. If you could talk with the person in charge of the project, that would be great. Thanks

@@08trader The sound file is what I had on hand and is not reflective of the final product.
