I concur! I have all of this equipment for 3 years and haven't did anything. Now I need to understand more about printing. I paid 3 grand for this SCM cutter!
I tried using elmers glue about 20 years ago, kept having trouble with the stencil not sticking very well (as shown in your video). Since then, I have been using Anchor 211 stencil filler on the rocks and bricks. Cleans off with mineral spirits. Don't like taking chances with the stencil coming up. And, with the stencil I use, I always weed first, then apply to the stone. Good video though.
It's always good to heat the stone evenly with a heat lamp in cold weather before you lay the rubber down to prevent lifting but great video! One question why the glue first?
Great video! Just wondering what sandblaster from Harbor Freight did you use? And or which one do you reccomend? Thanks in advance...and than you kindly.
The glue mix is for easy removal of paint that bleeds through the stencil. It will wash off with water and give a perfect crisp line! Thanks for watching
awesome video been wanting to do some of this I have done yettis and bottles and regular vynil worked fine but didn't work on stone very good video tank you
If I needed to fix the paint on a neighborhood rock sign, what paint do you recommend? Also is there a sealer I could put on to protect the paint. We live in the midwest. The rock sign was installed in December and 6 months later the paint is already chipping off. Thanks
I would use one of those little bottles of testors enamel paint and a brush for something like that... what kind of rock is it? I would avoid sealing it regardless of type. I'm In iowa, and have had no problems with paint. Maybe it was a poor Quality paint to begin with. Best of luck!
@@slanginfba3117 Thank you so much for getting back to me. I believe it's Lannon Stone. It's from a quarry just up the road. Do you suggest brushing off the current paint and starting fresh or just painting over what's there? Again, thank you so much!
What kind of vinyl is that you are cutting? 60 degree blades normally are for "special" types of vinyl. Is that just a normal calendar vinyl? Or something else?
I love that Morph joins us towards the end of the video 🥰
This is the most informative video I have found on the process! Thanks
Thanks!

The link you have provided for the vinyl plotter is no longer available. Would you be able to refer us to a new one that would be capable of this?
@@SN-dy4rp any luck?
Probably the best video I've seen on this, thank you
Thanks

What type of paper did you use

is the glue just to make it look shine and clear?
Hello and thanks for sharing the video, your link to the plotter appears broken. Can you please provide what plotter you used? Thanks!

I have never seen anything even vaguely related to this, nor do i know what it is but i get the basics.
What is the water glue mixture for?

what type of transfer design mat/paper Do you recommend?
what psi would you use for granite?
Question: If you're going to paint the cut out area, why sandblast it first, why not just spray paint it?
you can see the difference at 8:00 in the vid.
Thank you for the video! How does the sandblaster not tare through the stencil?
It is a rubber type of material. The sand bounces off
Oh wow, that's cool. Thank you for sharing and replying so quickly. Where do you purchase it at?
Sorry, I see it now in your description. Thank you
What type of paper you used?
i want one, how much would something like this cost me?
What kind of paper are you using to cut your stencil out
Oh ya I forgot, awesome work your sigh turned out great.
Any part number or link on the sandblaster
Where can I find those stones?
what mask do you use? do you have a link for the supplier?
amzn.to/2EVGW1y
The link is down. Can you share another link or tell us the type of mask?
Where do you get the stone from?
What program do you use to design your mask ? What’s your favorite font to use ? Great work I love that.
awesome video been wanting to do some of this I have done yettis and bottles and regular vynil worked fine but didn't work on stone very good video tank you
Yeah, when I started I tried regular vinyl with terrible results! Sandblast stencil is so much thicker and rubbery, but much more expensive!
Thank You.
Great video .
What is the glue you use at the beginning is it pva glue?
Yes, it is watered down
Where do you buy the stone??

I love it it turned out nice. I think you forgot the EST 1972.
Can someone tell me waht kind of sandblaster i need
Any type will work. I would go with the tank style sold at harbor freight, or any hardware store
@@slanginfba3117 thank you for the reply any recommendations on what brand .kind .tipe of sand to use
I use Black blasting sand. It's like $12 for a 50# bag. Found at harbor freight and menards near me.
Thanks for this, very helpful!
What sand blaster do you use?
It is a glastar pressure blaster.
I started with a harbor freight sandblaster and upgraded only because I got a great deal on the glastar.
I’m sure you heard this once before but you forgot the EST.1972 🤫
Are you doing sandblasting? Let me know this is an old video.
Abrasive alloy, terlihat sangat tajam, 70 psi sudah bisa melubangi dengan cepat, sangat bagus.
Muito bom parabéns.
You forgot the est 1972 other than that great video
I like that you didn’t blast the established date. Would’ve been too crowded.
Great job. You do amazing work. What type of media are you using?
Thanks,
The media is Black diamond, Its coal slag. But fine Mason sand or sifting regular sand will work also..
@@slanginfba3117 how much did you end up using for a project this size? Thanks! :)

Rust-Oleum High Performance Paint. Oil-based Enamel. No first coat or sealer...
What type of paper did you use that would stand up to sandblasting?
Great technology
