Beautiful and quite different from classical Chinese dance - the skirt being very restrictive to the use of the legs. It's most impressive how she can come out of the turn series in the beginning and she's perfectly on balance - very difficult to do! The music is light and happy, the dance is light and happy, the dancer a joy to watch - she is gifted, well trained, very beautiful and has a gorgeously toned tummy!
Rob Smith You are right. This is Ethnic Dai dance, not Classical Chinese dance as you can see there are differences between the dances. And yay she is talented. A former course mate told me that she can learn moves very fast and did not understand why others such as students learned so slow. But still, she definitely worked very hardly to master the moves.
This is why I LOVE DAI forms of dance. Its hand movements look strict and stiff but then the rest of the body are like water. VERY GRACEFUL!
