Vitor Roque needs to stay and he needs playing time, we need competition in attack, Lewandowski is allowed to get away with playing average just because of that. Even though we have players, we are not using them
In my opinion xavi is protecting roque...he know that roque is not ready and adapted yet..he just don't want to put many pressure on roque... imagine roque start a lot of game and he didn't score people would compare him with real madrid player(just my opinion tho)

If we're going to talk about useless wingers, Ferran is the one that needs to go. Raphina isn't that flashy Neymar like profile. But he isn't useless either. When xavi started playing him to his strengths, he shines. He's the winger that makes runs behind the defense to go on through. It's just that most of our midfield is too scared to launch that through ball. Too scared to lose possession. On top of that, he tracks back insanely well. Presses well. He'll press all the way to the goalkeep to prove him into a long ball that ends back in our possession. Felix isn't doing that. Ferran isn't doing that. LEWY isn't doing that. Yamal actually does this so I'll give him that. Raphina has only been getting better. Why would we let him go when we can see his progress is evident
Raphinha isn’t a useless player but he is useless for Barca, as you said he’s good running in behind the defense which is good for teams that counter attack like Leeds in the prem but barca plays 95% of the time against teams with teams parking the bus which makes raphinha’s strengths disappear and he contributes to nothing offensively, can’t believe barca bought him for 60M when it was clear as day that he wasnt suited to our playing style, same shit with ferran, Felix and vítor Roque

@@LoL-yz9pihe hasn’t been really differential, whenever he was injured no one missed him and lamine has proved to be better than him despite being just 16, raphinha has obviously had good games where he scored important goals or gave important assists but that’s normal in a 40+ game season, for 60M he hasn’t done anything to prove that he was worth it and like I said in the other comment he isn’t suited for our style of play since his main strengths are better suited for a PL style team that counter attacks not a possession based team that relies on wingers that can dribble statically and win 1v1s. He’s still better than flex and ferran tho

He got the players that he actually wants, he won us a league, gave chances to La Masia kids especially Gavi and Balde, all is good. But then this season started and everything changed. Alemany resigned, Deco comes in and had his own plan on who to sign even though xavi didn't want it, Laporta choosing favours to Deco more than to Xavi in terms of signing players, Xavi didn't even want Vitor Roque in the first place yet they choose to bring him in anyway. For me, Xavi has so many disadvantages from injuries, referees, financial situation, and even the board themselves. Yet he still tried his best with this squad and reached the quarter finals of the champions league. But going trophyless for one season can be labelled as failure.

Fermin Lopez is a prime example. There is also Marc Cucurella and Rafinha... definitely not an elite list but I think it also has to do with the way barcelona sign players.
Roque is young and talented, but if he isn't in Xavi's plans, then I really don't think it'll hurt him to go on loan. He is a lot different than the likes of Nico Gonzalez, Deulofeu, etc.

Araujo had made pretty serious mistakes nowadays, but he still one of the world's best CB. If we find a proper pivot this summer, it will help the deffense line. Trust me, Puyol also made crazy mistakes sometimes. (I'm a fan from 2004 and currently reliving that area by watching matches, reading news, even playing with FIFA and PES from that year. And sometimes it's a shock, how differently people remember things from that area. I could talk about this trough hours...) I think Laporta is the best option for us right now. He does everything he could, so he can pull the club out of this situation. I understand Xavi not likes Vitor, but i don't care. It's his job to use him and rotate the squad well. The results are terrible, there is nothing to lose kinda... I think the problem is more like Xavi. I love him, i always loved, but i think he must have to be more creative. It's clear what he wants to do with the squad, but this is not working so we need to change. We need to change mentality for the whole club.
That's a nonsense we play Lewa instead of Vitor. We always had these "old and experienced" strikers as a second option, but Xavi need to slowly replace Lewa with Vitor match by match, minutes by minutes. Sure, Lewa can be still great, knows how to score goals sometimes, but we need somebody who can run fast and create opportunities for himself. Maybe Vitor will miss a bunch of chances but he deserves a chance. The truth is, we still know nothing about him because we barely saw him play... Remember Eto'o.. that man had the worst ratio by scoring goals. He missed the net sooo many times, but still he scored a bunch of goals because he could create chances for himself. Ho got the chanse and he was the joy of football next to Ronaldinho.

Barcelona FC biggest problem is not Xavi out the players. Or biggest problem is DECO. no showing director should be so powerful and so visible. He doesn't take orders from Laporta and doesn't confer with Xavi.
Araujo has been solid for Barca for 4 strong years, we can't crucify him for two mistakes in one season. Let's learn to build our own. He has saved us countless times. Every player makes mistakes. Last session with Alemany as sporting director and the team having a decent pivot like Busquets in the team our defence was solid. This season Xavi asks for a pivot Deco was busy with his own agenda. With Gavi injured Xavi once again asked for a pivot, but Deco rushed Vitor Roque in. We had a decent backup for Lewandowski in Marc Guiu. Without a pivot our defence was constantly in trouble.
First leg against PSG we had Christensen second leg we didn't have him. Someone should pot Deco in check so the team can be built.
NB. This does not however excuse the immaturity and favouritism attitude of Xavi.

Rushing vitor roque is a good decision on paper. If lewa unavailable barca dont have another striker. Barca forced to fielding ferran torres as striker. We all know hes not goal getter. Hes like the forward version of sergi roberto. Could played everywhere in forward position. Sometimes hes decent, sometimes hes bad, on rare case hes good.

The team needs depth. I think Xavi should smartly give more time to emerging yourh talents (i know it is funny im saying this bc our entire team consists of youngsters). Its just the financial issues we are facing, the lack of determination, and just everything with the mentality is such an issue. Starting fresh and teaching youngsters the history of this team and what its all about is something i personally feel is very imp.
Also I think we are also really scared of taking risks which is understandable but i feel its best to just sell certain players

Alejandro Moreno is usually spot on about Barca, we have players that don’t take responsibility, don’t step up when needed, and aren’t fit to be playing for Barca, we hide behind a few players like Gavi to Yamal to Cubarsi but we need to have an established reliable team already with standards and consistent game styles
Raphina is a basically a striker playing on the left wing. His positioning and his runs into space give me #9 vibes.
Great analysis Robby! Very spot on 💯, it really takes away any hope of change in the short term. As a fan, gotta stop falling for brief moments of good play is a mistake. We can only hope that we can at least get 2nd place and give a good showing in the CL but anything beyond that is just a gift and a bit or delusion and future heartbreak. We can only hope that the moves that the club is making today or yesterday will provide a foundation for a successful team in the future and maybe we have a chance to be great again. For now, it’s tough to trust this board and coaching staff. The club and media should be more humble and realistic about their expectations.

Congratulation for the video! I have the same view over the entire Barcelona side. It's clear that the future is dark when we see how things are managed in this club. That's the main problem, we don't know what we want what we can do, there seems ro be no real solutiln for the future of this club. Giving vitor for loan can again prove his quality as a striker. Buying Niko Williams and using him as a left winger and keeping yamal as a right winger and also keeping vitor as a striker can really help barca. Even maybe outgo the trio of vini, mbappe and rodrygo. Might not happen so quickly but i think it will be a really good trio. I just hope they dont sell vitor man he has so much potential. The easy answer is a new coach, even a younger cheaper coach with a point to prove. Several points you made proves this, one of which is Xavi's inability to adapt to tactical changes made by the opponents in the second halves. Even if he gets the players he wants this problem will remain. The worst part for me about all of these is that in several of his post match interviews he seems to think barca have been the better team and its all down to individual mistakes and to me this is a delusion. If a coach is unwilling to accept that his team played badly I do not see that he has any incentive to improve except to change the players who made mistakes. I mean take Girona game for example k we made mistakes but there was at least 40 minutes to remedy that, mistakes are part of the game and they happen occasional, good teams respond by pressing their opponents but that's not our team. We are simply not playing well overall forget about individual mistakes. I think if he stays on, this will be our level.

I think Barca's main question for Xavi should be where exactly is Pedri good at? Is it on the wing or midfield? Cause I remember he was a winger last season and a midfielder beside De Jong, in this. If that is sorted out, I'll accept that Xavi knows what he is doing. Then we can be thinking of signing an experienced winger that can bench Raphinha, and a distracting 9 that doesn't just wait when not supplied like Lewandowski. Roque obviously can't do that. So, there is really no debate here. If he wants to leave, he can just leave with Ferran and Felix. We need our Fati back too
One thing that I am sick and tired is seeing videos that say Barcelona will look scary next season or Barca are back bc at the time those videos are released is a time where we have no hope and we only rely on those videos as hope for the future not even in the present
You have to be optimistic but at the same time you cant rely on somebody that wants to make views by saying non realistic things. The situation Bartomeu left the team, signing extensions for absurd amounts money is affecting really hard on the fair play and he can sign the pieces to make a compensated team or even keep key players. But if we keep supporting the team the income is already good (+800M this year), we just need to solve the fair play issue and then we can ask about being favorites and not just contenders.

When his predecessor Sandro entered they were talking about eliminating Cruyffism and retired Cruyffs symbolic honor presidential in the club and kick out Pep right hand Chiki who is with him in City for 8 years now. Thats why Guardiola left, but the afiliates voted for him because the team kept wining at that time, but it was only because of the legacy Laporta and Guardiola left. When those players were gone he started to sign random players with absurd amounts of money, signing contracts that we still are paying today. And kick out Luis Enrique instead of giving him the power to reconstruct the team. We instead got Valverde that reduced training session and plege to the players. Then the downfall begun. Now this media is trying to blame Laporta for not having money now, when we are still having to pay Lenglet 30M until 2026 because the guy signed everybody stupid amounts of money a month before leaving. Now it seems nobody is patient and doesnt understand the current economic situation and Laporta is being forced to sign risky players and players who come free or on a loan, a disaster from Bartomeu and Rossell.

I agree 100%, the problem with Laporta is that he’s not putting first the club but his image, he just doesn’t want to be that person in charge of getting rid of Xavi, he doesn’t want to sell, to me the only few players that should stay at the club next season are; Ter Stegen, Cubarsi, Faye, Gavi, Jamal and Tigrinho, there should not be a discussion about keeping the rest of the team, and once in for all (with all respect to Xavi’s legacy) fire Xavi and give the chance to Rafa Marquez, sign him for one year, he has proven that he can lead Barsa’a new generation of players

The problem I see is fans wanting to ship one of our highest G/A contributers in Raphinha off for 70-80 mill. He puts in the effort in big games, he is young, still he gets the shaft, but old players who disappeared during important moments are "perfect".
It's true after the treatment of Roque and if Raphinha is indeed sold, young Brazilians won't want to join the team.

If someone is to blame is Bartomeu, we just won the ligue last year being very solid defensibly. Let the team work and dont burn it all. Its been a difficult season in every aspect, injuries, lack of depth, we had to let go key players to enter the ligue's fair play and we are fighting against a Madrid who is going to be reaching 95+ points in the league. Our goal is to make 85 points every year with this roster and let the team reconstruct until we can buy what Xavi needs. Laporta was the best option and he had to make risky moves, but ultimately is the best president we could have right now because he has experience it before, same like Xavi, both arrive in a difficult situation in the past and present and manage to take us out the best way possible. You are very young but you should remember the history of the club and dont fall in false narratives that you hear from ESPN or whatever you catch the information.
Barca's problems- no dmf, no winger (except yamal) who can take on defenders and provide an attacking threat, none of the midfielders can shoot from outside the box, lack of intensity and physicality, and last but not the least tendency to bottle big games..
When Girona scored the 2nd goal i turn off the TV, we don't have a winning mentality, and you can see that after Arujo got the red card against PSG,i mean i got this feeling that we already lost 4 before it even scored.
Individual mistakes had cost us the season really, we have seen it the whole year. Against PSG i though the same, he was our best def player and we didnt have any other defensive profile available in the roster. Our team is not made to defend behind, but that is the point for next season, he have to aquire solid defensive players in the midfield that can play more agressive if we need to, especially now that Gavi is expected to return past the middle of the season
I disagree with you about Raphina, and I don't think he should be sold, but we do need the money... I just don't know who we can bring or will want to join Barza that is better than him for a reasonable amount we can afford. But you can see in the last few games he's been the hardest working winger going up and down to recover balls, and probably best threat player have in the squad. I do like Lamine but not over Raphina. Lamine, to me isn't consistent. Some games he puts really good performances and at some he struggles to take players 1v1. And don't like his flops and how easily he goes down. He will be getter better so that's a good thing for us.
I also don't think Vitor should be sent out on loan. Most players that go on loan don't get better or work out for Barza. He also didn't get treated fairly and the little amount of time he's been playing isn't enough to show us how good of a player he can become. It's a tough situation with him so we'll have to wait and see what happens.
Someone tell Xavi to sub out old Lewandoski instead of starting him or letting him play all game long. He isn't creative, he isn't fast, and worst of all, didn't even hustle in the games where he needed to do more.
Real Madrid rarely has any bad signings. Even if they don't do well initially, they eventually find a way to integrate them into the team. I think we should take notes.
Just in the last years: Jovic? Mariano? Hazard?... Everyone has bad signings. The only one bad we had is Ferran because he costed 55M, but at the time it was a good trade he was only 21, excellent for Spain and Pep trusted in him, like a Julian Alavarez type of signing. Koundé has been excellent almost every game as a left back and Raphinha showed this year he is a very useful player, the type of player we dont have and has been very consistent despite having some injuries this season, he is now much better adapted.

Also, our current players like de jong never really lived up to his potential. Romeu, alonso, both jaos and now roque. At this point, it is more likely that our signings fail than succeed.

Xavi has made the the team somewhat like a family and they are supposed to support each other through thick and thin. It is a good but they feel too pampered and feel they’ve done enough for the club but that’s just too naive of them. They should know when to own up to their mistakes and prove them on the pitch but not in post match interviews. They don’t actually know what it means to play for Barca and I don’t blame them because there aren’t those legends and veterans who would have thought them that. I’ve accepted this team would be back but now maybe in 4-5 years time but now is just not it.

I dont think people understand how important a first touch is in squad like Barca. Roque should never have been bought by Barca because his first touch has always been poor, that's why he keeps loosing the ball.

Let's not look for things deeper than we should, at least at first glance. The two main issues are the following. Xavi is not a coach at the level required at Barcelona, and second, the squad has a load of dead weight. Only after these two have been resolved, then we can take a peak at the issues that we have at board level. Xavi and this current squad wouldn't do shit under Real Madrid's board or anyone else.

I don't agree with the criticism of Laporta.Taking the club from the mess Bartomeu left it at to where it is right now is incredible.From the signings his been able to make to negotiating deals to offload wage guzzlers like Griezmann,Depay,Umtiti,Branthwaite etc. How he has managed to still keep us competitive till now is incredible.He has however had few mishaps which should not be overstated.

See the major issue both the coach and xavi needs to understand ucl is very far away . A great or even a good coach will use what is at his disposal to the fullest and adapt to that. Xavi has not quite adapted to it. If you see Madrid they brought Joselu for free and he's being used not all the time but at least consistently for him to have a god chemistry and also at the end possibly score goals. What does Xavi do with Roque? Nothing. Also young players treatments are becoming annoying in the club. If you have 2 players younger than 20 play the same position why not rotate them so that they don't get tired for their age but they also get experience and become happy. Only using Cubarsi is not ideal when you know you can rest him and play Faye at the same position and give him chances to get better.
Also another problem is the way Xavi acts when something doesn't go according to plan he doesn't keep his composure which reflects to the players directly. the same guy who never received a red card as a plater is receiving more than 5 red cards in one season more than Sergio Ramos and that is worrying. it is not good for the team and everyone. They also really need to have a winner mentality and stop making stupid mistakes.
There is so much this club needs to make to be at least a good club again. but where would we start.
