    I just replaced the HID bulbs and the rest on my 2006 Cadillac CTS Sport Luxury sedan. While I realize that this car isn't sold in the U.K. it was a complete Biatch to do. The entire front facia has to be removed and the headlight assemblies. This is about a 3-4 hour job (for me) with lots of small cuts and bruises. Of course, while at it, I replaced the high beams, the small DRL bulbs and the fog and driving light bulbs, as well. I would gladly tackle the task at hand on your Ranger, believe me. Not trying to make you feel bad, but that was really a piece of cake, as we say across the pond. I am not so much of a Ford fan, but your videos I find to be very entertaining and informative.
    Thanks!,
    Mate
    PS: I have smaller hands than you do, so there is that.

    Another good video Dave.
    I’ve had some great dealings with Andy @ Performance Alloys - he’s a top bloke !
    Wee hint - a wee smear of silicon grease on the orings on the caps makes them shedloads easier to get off again.
    In my experience, the LED full beams aren’t a massive difference in terms of output but a far whiter, more modern look is achieved.
    Keep up the good work !
    😜👍

    I think it's a worthwhile upgrade with not too much effort. The temp of the light is spot on.

      Agreed, just that it now matches the rest was reason enough to buy them.

    You are 100% spot on about the covers being a shit to get out. When I put mine back in I put a smear of VASELINE on the rubber ring hopefully it will make it easier next time the covers have to come off.

    Hi Dave, great video and thanks for the info. I ordered the same bulbs as you suggested. However the fit is not so tight as the original bulb, there’s still some movement in the bulb. I compared the original with the LED replacement and found on the original a little cam. Did you have the same problem?
    For the rest all good and thanks again for the info.

    Hi Dave, kindly share a link where I can acquire those H11... (they seem to fit perfectly unlike the ones with a big round butt)

    Can I get a link to the exact bulbs you used? Some of them seem to be very long or have a big heatsink on the back which I don't think will fit.

      Make sure yours are H15 too. If so it is these...

    Am after these for my kuga as I hate the yellow halogen against the white led drl. How did they perform on the road if you done it. Could you put a link in for product. Cheers mate

    • @DetailingandtheBeast

      On the road they dont really show as they're the daytime running lights as well as the full beam.
      As a full beam I have the light bars so couldn't really notice there either. Did it mainly for the colour change to be honest.

    Hi just wondering if you no what led bulbs it is for the wildtrak 16 plate, h11 bulbs are led and the main beam led but can’t find which bulbs for the daylight running lights ? Any helps gratefully appreciated

    • @hamscanner
      @hamscanner 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not too sure what part of the world you are but the H 11 should be the high beam H 15 is the main beam/running light (now you can get H 11 in 24 V but that’s a different story hopefully you can work it out from there)

    Hi has anyone had any problems with their ranger similar to mine? My heated screen comes on at random times, when it does the idle revs go high (about 800rpm) and throttle jerky when trying to drive normally. I have to thrash it to get it going. Sounds like a tank when it does it too. A few mins later back to normal. No error codes, nothing. Fords did software update and was fine for 6 weeks until I put these h15 led bulbs in. Could it be linked?

      If not does anyone, anywhere have the same problem or have I brought the only one on the planet with a problem no one can fix? Mines a 2017 3.2 limited. I've asked 4 main dealers now and no one knows. Cant find anything online about it either. If it keeps up I may have to get rid of it but I love my ranger 😔

    Is it your ranger that's on the 4x4at or 4x4ni website, one of them has a truck that's neigh on identical to this puppy! I like your double fog lights dude, just picked up my 3.2 this morning, so will be looking to getting it sounding sweet and eventually looking nice.

      @@DetailingandtheBeast she is a belter dave, xo customs have some pretty decent stuff, I hate the standard fog lights on the fre 2019 so I think they will be first to job on.
      Don't know where to begin with styling though, I went for a white truck (everyone has black or sea grey), I can't make up my mind if arches should be white rather than black.

    • @DetailingandtheBeast
      @DetailingandtheBeast  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gotta admit - If I had another, itd be white! Pain in the ass to keep clean, but when they are.... wow, glorious!

      @@DetailingandtheBeast it does look well, drove it back from Taunton to Nottingham, via detour through the cotswolds earlier, everyone said "don't get one, they drink fuel", which I can see if you boot it, but I put 30 quid in at Taunton, drove no faster than 70mph and still have 53 miles left after 230 miles of driving....
