I have had my pizza stone for 4 months now. It is marked and stained and WELL USED. 2 pizza meals a week but being 100% home made I have control over the toppings so can make the wholesome and lower in fat and salt than commercial offerings. Frankly, I am getting bored with pizza, but my husband is not. The stone has earned its place in my cupboard - and then some. That lovely crunch when you use the pizza wheel to cut through the cooked offering is the icing on the cake of goodness.
Received my oven yesterday and have registered for the pizza stone offer. I thought my husband would moan about 'more stuff in the cupboards', but he saw this film with me and now can't wait for the stone to arrive. I have made my own pizzas for more than 30 years and this will revolutionise my efforts. Fabulous. The Pizza Stone arrived end of March and I have used it several times already with great success. Beautifully packaged for transit, the parcel looked a million dollars and husband stood there scowling wondering what on earth I had spent his pension on. The scowl turned upside down when he realised it had come 'free' with the oven. I put that in inverted commas as the company I purchased from dropped the price £150 just weeks after I'd bought the oven. I use Italian flour bought especially for my pizzas and it was well worth it. DIVINE results. Best Pizza ever.
Just bought a Smeg oven but can't find one of their round pizza stones anywhere, globally. Any ideas where to get one from? I have a round one from a different company so I guess that would be ok but it looks like the Smog one is designed to fit the oven base perfectly.

Brilliant, I want one of these now!
I hope you got one, they are well worth it, and I am a pensioner who doesn't bother with 'novelty'.

What is your dough recipe, mine always sticks to everything?
Does Rimmer use this to make his pizza?
My Smeg stone crashed on the 2nd day I used it
in Italy parmesan is not used for pizza 😱
Thank Goodness - I can't stand the stuff. Phew.
Not true. In Italy "Pizza Napoletana verace" sometimes has Parmesan cheese on it.
Da Italiana dico che il parmigiano sulla pizza è semplicemente un sacrilegio! 😑
Yes, it is.
Bha ha you have no idea what you are talking about🤣🤣🤣
La rotella che rovina la paletta...furba
Anyway, this is not how to make a traditional pizza. Smeg ovens are the best though, owning one.
