👩:“I can’t believe he didn’t cry during titanic! Do men even have feelings?” -Man watching chameleon lose consciousness after losing fight to venomous snake: 🥺😢😖
Bill Burr means that for men, Titanic is a horrormovie. Men are just supposed to stay and die, while letting women and children survive. I kind of agree with Burr.
POOR CREATURE HE SURE DID THE SNAKE THAT BIT HIM IS A BLOOMSLANG AND BY ITS DULL BROWNISH COLOR WAS PROBABLY A FEMALE THE MALES ARE LIGHT GREEN WITH BLACK OR BLUE SCALES EDGES
It really changes the way you see things when you witness something like that. Especially when you realize that neither one of them is the “bad guy” in the situation. The snake was just hungry. We do the same thing as humans, we just don’t have to watch our food die usually.
Out of respect for that Warrior Chameleon I cannot like this video without feeling pain. But the one who posted this amazing video deserves it. It's inspiring how brave can a harmless being be at the very face of death.
I used to raise and sell Jackson’s chameleons in Hawaii back in the 1990’s. Those Jacksons were lucky Hawaii is snake free, they loved it over there. In Africa there’s all those venomous snakes and chameleons have absolutely no defense against them. They’re cool reptiles and fun to keep as pets
They are an invasive species there, just like the mongoose. When I lived there, my room mate had one. I don't even remember where he got it, but it got really sick probably from my friend smoking weed and cigarettes in the room where he kept it. It stopped eating, so one day we went for a hike and released it into the wild. I took a picture of it and still have it. They are cool, but really fragile pets.
Mate, snakes are not out there to decimate chameleons. If that happens, they are starving themselves out. Interaction like the one in this video is actually example of co-dependence. Snakes get food (and then other predators similarly control snakes) and chameleon population gets controlled-balance reached. And Hawaii, nah, they compete with local birds for food (insects).
@@kychen4738 I never said snakes were out to exterminate the chameleon population in Africa. I just said that chameleons don’t have much defense against a snake attack. They don’t have much defense against any predator for that matter since they move so slowly. But you’re right, nature balances everything out, and chameleons have survived for ages in Africa, so they’re doing something right
@@ICTS22 you’re right, the mongoose and Jackson’s are both invasive in Hawaii. And they can definitely be fragile. Back then you were allowed bring them to the mainland on passenger airplanes in a carry-on which would be unheard of now. I’m just glad nobody released venomous snakes in Hawaii 😅
Just WOW! There is clearly something in the chameleons expressions, from the start of the clip until the very end, that just resonates with me on a personal level. Even if it’s, of course, never personal. Never ever..

You can see the previous wound on the Chameleon’s right shoulder area. See how that area will no longer camouflage, and how the brownish area radiates outward from the bite site. This is more than likely from another venomous snake bite and also likely the same snake species as the snake in this video. This is a female Boomslang. It’s one of the most, if not the most toxic snake in Africa. It’s a rear fanged snake and does not inject venom although some examples have been shown to be capable of an actual injection. The Boomslangs fangs are not hollow like other venomous snakes. Rather, they are grooved, and the venom flows down this groove through capillary action and into the wound. It’s also the only snake we know of that can detect a non moving, camouflaged prey item and go for an attack on it. Most snakes hunt solely by scent or in the case of pit vipers through infrared heat detection. The Boomslang can hunt by sight alone and doesn’t need movement.
Poor chameleon.. you can see how that venom was taking its hold though. She fought hard to the end though but basically could not escape and judging from where it had choosen to hide out zero camouflage visually.
@@Justin-qw8os I'm not 100% sure tbh but I know some species of chameleon like the Yemen chameleon, they are sexual dimorphic.. the males have much exaggerated head crests than females and I think the females tend to be more oval in body shape overall which certainly looks case here.
