ATME has to be the most under rated yt. He explains things how they are and gets right to the point. He interacts with chat during his streams. When i first started playing this game i built forts around my settlement because i though i was cool. After doing research through his channel i quickly learned about how things are. His hair is also very nice.👍

I think a solid top 10 list, could be maybe have added grima who is a amazing t1 commander. And I think if you have gtg in top 10, gtw shouldn’t be in it or Visé versa, but I understand why still. I’m just sad lurtz got nerfed to counter them.
You’re not wrong. There were more commanders in here that I’ve used a lot vs. those I haven’t
No gothmog is a crime 😂. Gothmog is an amazing commander, hes the best siege commander, and can win every battle except like 2 heroes and they are not metas with only purple gear. He easily destroys: gimlis, dwalin, aragorns, legolas ... every dsmage commander falls to gothmog. He can win against gandalfs, and horse commanders. But once you get a gold item that provides defence, stun and madness damage midigation its over you are winning everybattle.
Like I said, this could easily be a top 20 list :) I think gothmog needs higher respect to be really good in PvP so that's why I didn't put him on
@allthingsmiddleearth with respect to you I desigree. All you need is R5 to be able to be really good. Obviously you need the right gear on him but with just purple gear I beat alot of commanders actually every commander theirs only 1 who I loose alot of troops but I still win. I have alot of experience with gothmog trust me he's really good. Only problem with gothmog is he can attack because you won't get that -18. But you will take 2 armys or more.

Playing in my 9th season and r5 gothmogs would get smacked around. I do my NRP too so their could be some difference there, but I feel like the meta is really dialed in so an r5 isn't always going to cut it.
Not saying you won't win some matchups, especially against non-meta stuff but I am talking the super common stuff I see: Wk, Sunind, Gil, Dwalin, etc.
I have to say I have the opposite experience with Gothmog. I fight RP and for whatever reason, against my wishes, we fight almost exclusively evil each season. WK and Sunind run right through Gothmog except for if he is Gunda then Sunind doesn’t do so well.
@brandonbrewer4695 yeah I agree, mine holds up with WK because I have fire protection. But if i don't than yeah its a wipe. But it's the wk he's OP only way you survive is with fire protection. With sunind I beat her easily. You need the right gear I got purple and my gothmog wipes her

Ahhh careful with the GtW and Gil, both get really easy to counter and fall off as everyone's respect keeps growing. GtW stays ok but get's hard countered by any high damage commander, Gil loses to any commander with pursuit, or just a high defense like GtW, Galadriel, etc. Maybe Gil is a bit better against evil but still doesn't hold up after a while.
I am confused between going with Isildur or KOM.. any advice?
Honestly both are solid, having use at r25. KoM is more on the damage commander side with some troop buffing at high respect, and Isildur is more on the troop buffing end with several maddens skills.
It might honestly come down to personal preference, or maybe the decision could be made based on what other commanders you are running.
For example, if you don’t have a damage commander, you’re already running KoM could be a good option, but if you do have one or more, they already using adding him might be overkill.
Interesting you mention Dwalin and Gimli in the video but not Dain. Does Dain not out perform both of those dwarf damage dealing commanders?
Dain is really solid as well. Could have easily had him on here too. Just trying to have some T1 and T2 commanders.
Dain’s unique compensates for not having Hunt Down, even if not refined from what I’ve heard. His name could be Rain because he’s the comm dmg rainmaker. I see the purpose of not putting him on the video, he requires more investment than other dwarves. I’m stuck rn. I have a r11 dwalin, r8 gimli and r7 dain. I also have a mattock with retaliate and could easily push Balin to r5, but it would take me years to fully refine and upgrade that weapon… I need to chose one due to gear limitation and I don’t know what to do, if anybody has an advice for me please let me know
@@filipedonatti5803 I was in the same boat. Spend a little but not a lot, so I can put gear on 1. Dwalin R18, Gimli R11 and Dain R7. I just think skilled in he right order, getting All In to proc with Dwarven Grit is such a big hit that the other 2 can’t do.
I did small sample testing last season against 300 tiles and tracked their performance against the same 10 Good side and 10 Evil side commanders. Dain averaged about 30-35k more damage than Dwalin. And in the first 4 rounds he averaged about 45-65k more. His net trades were about 20k better when considering all the damage dealt by him and troops and damage received back and healing. So both still good, but my R7 Dain seemed to be better in almost every matchup than my R18 Dwalin.

Interesting. I've been gone for a while but last I was watching the streams, I remember you being kinda frustrated with WK. "I'm gonna bench him/ one of these days I'm gonna bench him/ I think it's time to bench Fred" were regular comments :))
I think the issue with WK is that anyone that used him in the first 2 seasons could just send him at any stack and you could take out several armies. Reason being people hadn’t all started running counters or putting burn protection on any commander that could wear it.
So all of the sudden people like myself would hit a wall with WK and get frustrated with him, but using features like clairvoyance or just scouting with one command can help you avoid supper hard counters.
TLDR - I had to start playing smarter with him and since I’ve done so I’ve enjoyed him
Don't forget we no longer have clairvoyance lol :-(
Somewhat sad to see that the meta commanders haven't changed in the last year or so.
Suggest t1 t2 t3 for the good side player, what would you say if there was only one of each?
T1: Faramir assumed unique or Dwalin and don't use unique. T2: Gimli is pretty good, Theoden. T3: Arguably Dain, Isildur.
@@appleb305 Dude dwalin already hits enough attacks then wouldn't it be useless when gimli improves?
There was a T 1, 2 and 3 suggestion for the good side, so I would stick with that personally. T1 - Dwalin, T2 GtG, T3 Gandalf the White (Could go to a few but I think I'd pick GtW)

@@AlexandertheGreat15063 Gimli would definitely be the better option between the two. Also, if you prioritise dwarf commanders then your selection of troop production will go down which is a good thing. The less variation of troops you recruit, the more efficient you can use your resources and barracks. So, you could use both if you like. If you want to choose, I'd go for Gimli and then Faramir as T1. Eowyn isn't too bad but she is not performing so well for me anymore.

I personally find Arwen much better than gtg while both have equal armor but gtg had a 5respect lead

I don't totally agree, but he was put on as an honorable mention at the end. He is really fun to use with his unique but has his counters just like everyone

Like I said in the video, this could have easily been 20 commanders :) Kirun in my experience needs very high investment to reach his peak so that's why I didn't add him, and while Gothmog is the best siege in the game, I think he needs relatively high respect to be used in the current meta
Im playing tactics evolved right now, And boy oh boy. Isildur with arnor t4s And woses hunters, is something that should never be in the game. For that reason, isildur is number 1 in the game for me at the moment.
