"He'll go right to the very top, right to the very top"
Shows that if you work hard enough, you can get it
a great motivational statement
@ER Gaming if you never try you never know. Having said, you cant archive anything you put your mind too. Life just doesn't work out like that
But he was a great example of a player, that worked his way to the top. A lot of young players just dont have the right attitude now
Won the whole lot
And he did
Find someone that believes in you like Harry believes in Frank Lampard
😂😂👌🏾👌🏾
Truth.
Poor Jamie
Big John Fury - Tyson Fury.
@Hamza Siddique They said he only played Frank because he's his nephew to which he responded: "No I play him because he is a great young player and go right to the very top." And now people are saying he only said that because he's his nephew. How can you people not see the hypocrisy in that argument?
Finally, someone without airpods
Harry's a great storyteller, could listen to him all day
He embellishes heavily at times but I kinda like that. In fact my dad is very similar, when he tells his stories.
@David Richards the truth is boring.. tho .. my nephew's been palying with my lad jamie who's got it and I'm shagging his antie and his dad was half decent so let's sighn him or the Mrs will have the hump with me q
It's always a joy whenever Harry Redknapp comes on
His proper geezer accent is the best I swear 🤣
It’s called cockney

Met Frank when I was playing Rugby in England. I played with half the English rugby team yet was so star struck when I met him...
Was probably one of the most humble blokes I’d met.
“blue is the colour!”
Fan " personally I don't think Frank is good enough, you let good midfielder's go like Matt and Scott canham"
Redknapp " no they wasn't good enough, he is good enough and he'll definitely be good enough. I let Scott Canham go he is a good kid, he work very hard went to brentford but he can't get into the brentford team, he's 21yrs old, I let go because young Frank 17yrs old is miles infront of him"
Fan "but that isn't true"
Redknapp "it is true. I get paid to make judgement on players, it's you opinion the game is a game of opinion and you got right to your opinion but, I also got right to my opinion. Scott Canham is a decent player we offered him a two year contract he turned it down, it's Scott's decision to leave the club. I tell you now without any shadow of a doubt there'll be no comparison with what Frank Lampard will achieve in football and what scotty Canham will achieve in football"
Fan "because you'll give him the opportunity"
Redknapp "they're is no favouritism, but am telling you now, and I didn't want to say this infront of (frank Lampard) him but he will go right to the very top, right to the very top"!!"there ain't no doubt about that in my opinion, he's got everything in him to become a top class midfield player. His attitude is first class, he has strength, he can play, he can pass and he can score goals"!!!!
9yrs later, Frank was the runner up in the Ballon D'or. Chelsea's record goalscorer. And then 2012, Lampard captained Chelsea to the Champions league trophy!!
Just FYI it wasn’t a journalist it was a fan that said it
Lamps is the 🐐
You have a few spelling mistakes in the middle paragraph.
And I’ve never personally heard of Scott Canham! Says it all really... lampard was top drawer
@@ryansmith-jr4gn How dare he, send him to the Principal's office right away!
The way Harry Redknapp believes in Lampard moves me to tears....its a blessing to have someone like that in your life...
He was a good uncle
Having Frank as Chelsea's manager is a dream!
As a Chelsea fan I’m sorry to burst your bubble but he’s not going to last.
Average manager, saved by the fact that arsenal Tottenham and Man United also had shocking seasons
@@antoniogallo5699 Give him a few seasons before jumping to conclusions, he's already exceeded most people's expectations in his first season in the PL despite our best player leaving and us given a transfer ban

No excuse to be tactically outclassed by ole is it? And 3 times too.
We’re only 4th because of man uniteds inconsistent form.
Harry is kind of uncle that every nephew/niece loves
and he was lucky to have someone who believes so much in him, if it wasn’t for harry then frank wouldn’t of had the motivation to do what he did
I wish I had an uncle Harry
I was thinking how come he never refers to frank as his nephew! 🤷♂️
AP Gamer He could talk about the fact people where only saying he is getting games because it’s his nephew but in reality it’s because he knew all along that he was a top player.
@C C That's what makes them uncle and nephew, through marriage.
@C C It isn't always about blood. They're family and that's what matters.
@@cosman3248 yeah but you wouldn't call someone your nephew if he wasn't. Unless your snoop dog.

I love the Lampards n Redknapp's, they breathe football, it's literally in their blood

Can you explain me what's this "wheeler-dealer" means?
@@Rahat-cg8rv It is a name for a person who is always looking for a great deal in the market. A buyer and seller aficionado.

I just loved Lampard. Best of best. 20 goals or more every season 4 a midfielder is just unbelievable.

Interesting to see that frank made an immediate impression on Mel as soon as he met him. Weather u think he’s a tactically good manager or not he’s certainly knows how to create an atmosphere around a club and motivate players
Wish I had an uncle like Frank 😪
Harry: "yeah I like Franky. He's a terrific lad. A top, top player. Good family man"
Was brilliant to see Harry stand up for Frank Lampard in that interview when the fan thought he knew the lot
he was scott canham s uncle
Lampard really is a great example to young footballers. He didn't have as much talent as Gerrard, Scholes and Beckham but he maximised his potential and scored more goals in the Premier League than all of them. He is actually 5th on the PL all-time goalscorers table. Only Shearer, Rooney, Cole and Aguero have scored more PL goals than him. He is ahead of Henry, Fowler, Defoe, Owen, and Kane. This is all as a midfielder.
Loved being over Westham and everyone saying fat frank no do they regret it? Met him and Paulo Wanchope

1:29 “he used to run around the streets at night in a wetsuit or bin liner”
😂 WTF Harry
He means a shell suit I imagine. They helped to make you sweat, as did a bin liner, for weight loss when training. If he was trying to be fitter and faster that makes a lot of sense.
He was desperate to find a place to swim.
You can’t train to become as good as he did. You have to be born with it. He was next level in terms of ability and his professionalism and genuine love of the game just made him an all round incredible player and born leader. SUPER FRANKIE LAMPARD first season in charge of us with an average squad and youngsters who’ve never played in the prem before and were fighting for champions league spots. It’s crazy. KTBFFH
What a great uncle to have
Still shows you for people even like frank lampard a highly rated name in the game. Still needed that term ‘it’s who you know not what you know’ without Harry he could still be searching for a club to give him a chance...
Let's not forgot the legendary GOAT Scott Canham
It's about having the right attitude and knowing how to speak to people. Frank shows both
Lampards training ethics is inspirational
We all need an uncle lik Harry Redknapp
Had a cab driver years ago that said he played in a youth team with Frank. He said even then he trained so much more than everyone else and truly relished it rather than just having to do it. Cab driver said His only issue was his build was a bit bulky and his acceleration was poor so he got running spikes and would train at short sprints all the time. This is what it really takes and so many people just think "oh they get paid silly money". Really these days you have to treat it like a job from when you're about 10 years old.
this guy loves Frank..
This is the perfect example of in this world it's all about who you know not what you know. But credit where credit is due, he's doing a pretty decent job.
Harry Rednapp literally made Lampard who he is today, crazy
You are a legend of the game Harry Redknapp
I'm a Chelsea fan and I love Frank, he has also had a good first season. But it's not really warranted to say he is a "top manager" yet.
Brilliant story. It's just tells you work/training/practice is EVERYTHING.
Frank Lampard was the closest player to reach sir Bobby Charlton level from Manchester United fan
🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Michael Myers lamps far out does sir charlton
At goalscoring maybe. All those chances at a dominant team and playing more as a second striker than a true CM, he was bound to get those numbers.
Gerrard is better scholes too
A Y by a mile
Lampard Chelsea Legend
I am a Arsenal fan so my seem strange to some 😂 but I worked at Chelsea why Frank was playing and what a leader everyone one on off the pitch liked him and as much as it kills me to say as a gooner he was one of the best EPL midfielder I have seen.
Trueee
I could listen to Harry Redknapp all day.
Great to have an uncle like him
I'd love to just sit and have a chat with Harry Redknapp, some of his stories i find either fascinating or hilarious
Successful manager? Not sure about that, and I'm a huge fan of Frankie Lampard and Chelsea through and blue. Unfortunately, his stints at Chelsea as a manager came to early for him, but you can't blame him for accepting those opportunities. To be honest, his first season wasn't bad and he did so much to bring in the youth talent. He even recognised the value of an experienced player like Oliver Giroud. So there is no doubt Frankie has got potential to be a good manager, but he probably needs to work as an assistant manager to someday that IS a great manager, much the same way that Arteta did under Guardiola. That kind of experience will give him the extra insights and managerial experience that he needs. Nobody questions his commitment and football credentials, but he hadn't yet proved himself as a top class manager. It takes time. Just like when he was a young footballer, if he wants it bad enough then he'll need to work hard at it. Maybe life is too comfortable for him now to really want to make the sacrifices, we'll see what the next 5 years bring for him.
Harry is a classic manager..
On the theme of people saying he wasn't Good enough as a youth player. A friend of mine played against Kevin Keegan when they were at school. He said Keegan was ok, but he didn't really stand out. Keegan went on to win the Ballon d'Or, twice.
Great Darren Farley impression. 👏👏👏
Lampard was class and with all the money Chelsea pumped in he was the star for me. The ballacks and hazards and many others great but he is Chelsea’s best ever player . No bullshit with him either ultimate pro . Don’t think he’s had major success yet as a manager but he’s done great . But I think in the future he will be very successful he needs time to prove it. He will tho he’s only begun not even finished first season at Chelsea yet . You don’t get much time in football as managers now . Its ridiculous. Have to win to fast . Judged on one season . My club united sacked van gal to fast ends up with a mismatched squad. Ole same thing won a few games all on the positive. Loses a few then the pundits jump on the other side so quick . You need two transfer windows to build or fix a squad at least with backing from the owners. Frank hasn’t even had that neither has ole .
Na drogba was
Drogba is best ever please
video should be called Harry takes credit for Lampard's managerial career
“Who’s the man” Harry’s the man. Great mangers should’ve managed England without a shadow of a doubt. They got it wrong there as well no surprise!!! great guy.
I wanna see the face of the man who who was disagreeing with Harry back then..
We all will remember this interview again when ever Frank lampard wins a trophy as a coach. Then Harry will say I told you so!
To be fair, I've never seen another player improve during his career to the extent Frank Lampard did. When he started he was decent, then he became very good, then he became excellent and eventually he was world class.
I could listen to Harry talk all day
Loved that accent
Morale of the story: it pays to have connections. It's who you know not what you know
23 years ago Terry Venables - England manager at the time. He said that Frank Lampard (18) and Rio Ferdinand (18) we're the best 2 young players in the country.
When what you know is THAT good... it's just a matter of time before you rise to top.
When it comes to top level football.... It's 100% what you know and not who you know
There was a time when he was in the team and we needed someone older and stronger because we were in a relegation battle and he wasn't ready. The fans saw it as nepotism and were worried about going down and felt a school boy didn't belong in the team. Eventually he developed into a good player and should have been a West Ham legend. But with the club being mismanaged by Terry Brown, we lost him to a rival. Then the dodgy Russian took them over and the rest is history. There should have been 2 West Ham all time greats called Frank Lampard.
I wish Harry was my uncle. What a man.
Goes to show you. If you put your all into something and keep grinding you can get there.
If you look at Frank Lampard's career pre and post Roman Abramovich's take over it's like night and day. He went from a guy scoring five or so league goals a season to 15+. and he wasn't young either he was 25 when the takeover happened. Part of that was usually having two world class midfielders to take the burden off his defensive responsibilities and part was him raising his game in order to keep his spot in the team. Either way he would probably have never been talked about as one of the best ever if Roman Abramovich had bought a different team. So I don't think anyone can say they saw Frank Lampard's career coming. He barely had any England caps until he'd passed his mid 20's.
Agreed but once he stepped up he was ballon D'or levels good for 5-7 years.. 30+ goal contributions (Goal +Assists) in every season as an Englishman was insane... also the way he carrried himself was class...Man United fan here..
What a dumb comment please watch Frank's career again

Same way same question being asked.
i dont know if FA didnt approach him or he rejected them ....but he is what englands national football team needed
Cant say redknapp is wrong, mourinho also commented on how professional lampard trained
Imagine how many players get lost in the system. If Frank wasn't Harry's nephew then he probably would have been written off by the youth set up.
Nepotism - exactly , he was lucky to be born in that family - his father being already established player and his uncle vouching for him!
Lampard is the best english player ever
How can people say he has no experience? How about experience playing for some of the top sides in the country alongside some of the best managers in the world amongst many international caps and tournaments. I think that's much more actual top-level football experience than most managers have.
