The VM50mm f1.5 is an excellent lens and I do hope this one could produce even better image & creamy bokeh.
The lens body is beautiful with "black paint"! I'm looking forward to seeing brass coming out as soon as I use it!

Opinions on this vs the previous model at f/1.5?
Thanks for your comment! I gave up the previous f1.5, so it's just a comment. It is sharper and darker than the previous f1.5. The bokeh is also beautiful. It became smaller than anything else. It's a completely different thing from the previous model. The current model is more digital than the previous model.

Please shoot close-ups at a deeper stop. The super shallow depth of field makes it hard to see all the details.
