The Forbidden City ( Beijing )🇨🇳🏯

We returned from The Great Wall of China to spend another few days in Beijing, Visited Lama Temple, tasted the Famous Chinese Hot Pot then the next day we visited The Forbidden City, this was a incredible place. The Yonghe Palace was originally the residence of the young Yongzheng Emperor of China before he ascended the throne, and of his son (later Emperor Qianlong) as a child. It was later converted into a lama temple for the Dalai Lama and the Panchen Lama to visit the emperor in Beijing. In front of this temple still stands a long poem written hundreds of years ago by the emperor describing why the emperor of Beijing established the system of the Dalai Lama and the Panchen Lama and the system of selecting their successors.
