The key also is having a team set up each with specific charms and activating them at a certain time. some times I see every one having the same type of charm or they don't stay together with the party so the party can benefit from their charm skill. Vanguard is truly a more team oriented fight than any other phase in Diablo .
It will get a lot more easier as we get higher level charms. Someone told me there is a F2P players with Rank 15 charm, who been carrying whales into Level 4.
PRO tip for noobs.. quit entering lvl 3-4 Vanguard with lvl 1-5 charms. Thanks. Also: 1. don't use Martyr charms' skill - you will probably die instantly. 2. once a corruption shows up (black skull above your head), move away from your party or else they will suffer massive dmg / instant death.
I didn't know that the ultimate vanguard special ability worked in the rest of the game. Thank you for that I might might push a little harder to play vanguard now
Nah reso scales boss....i have 20k dmg one 5 toons and only do van 4 clears with randos.....use bane don't die on your own.....if everyone is capable and focus3d it's doable
Hi Apollyon, Thanks for the vid. How did you get all those high level charms if i may ask? I only get trash charms for like level 3 when i do vanguard 3. I only managed to upgrade a level 6 charm (might) to level 8 and thats it... It really sucks when you are behind.
I used all of my 10 chances for vanguard rewards since launched but never got Might and Heal Charms and there were tasks on them. 🤦♂️ Perhaps need to level up charms. I'm at Rank 8 Defense and can't pass Lvl 4 yet.. just got bad teams. 😢
Theese new Vanguard items will destroy all PvP!!!! Enjoy the wrecking of entire teams in close proximity by using 4 different weapon skills procc all at once.... Needs changing this stuff. Or else game will be ruined verry soon on PvP

Martyr is the best for a Barb with a lifesteal build, you can carry the whole party and you wont die.
If u want to use Martyr charm use only with barbarian with life drain and blood knight with life drain.

To be fair, one reason why it is not difficult for you to clear vanguard level 4 is your other team members are using heal charms.
I don't die anyways, I have full immunity to damage at all times.

Think it’s easy cuz the team was with high reso players , but it’s totally different if u do it with 1 / 2 k players

Use the survival bottom left paratree. Also where did you get that new gear. Thought we dont get it till the current vangaurd cycle ended

When I use that build, boss says immune to chill. Any way around that?
Its a support build to fight monsters and deal high dmg vs them. Bosses are immune to all CC.
