  • Simplex ceiling fan, made in UK by Simplex Circulume in 1979
Simplex manufactured this fan model for Relite and other brands between 1976 and early 1980 before re establishment of relite as Relite Fans Ltd
fan spins faster than a standard relite fan due to having 8 pole winding instead of the standard 10 pole, blades are originally steel, but aluminum blades were used instead since the original blade's condition was too bad, the fan with its steel blades is designed to spin as fast as the standard relite, going faster upon installation of smaller blades
this fan may have a winding flaw or issue that may be common in late 80s relites, which leads the fan to have less power and make more motor noise, this fan wasnt able to reach its top speed, with the original 1.6 uf capacitor, i equipped it with a 1.8uf cap and now it works well!
canopies are promotional canopies that were designed for an event, it was used for this fan as a setup.

I assume the 8 poles are equivalent to a 16 pole motor, when it comes to speed, right?

@@pankaat Also, I never understood when you said that the blade arms are "screw-type" what does that mean exactly, self-tapping into the plastic motor body?
