Just a friendly FYI you are meant to place the 4 aluminium frame pieces on before the mesh screen. It will also make it much easier to remove the mesh screen when trying to empty the burnt wood.
That is pretty slick. Thanks for sharing. I have one that is a different style that I just picked up and haven’t used yet, but it’s not nearly as large as that nor does have the fire up as high.
I think the concept is great. Honestly we have only used about 1/2 the available space, so would be interested to see smaller designs in action. Thanks for watching!!!
Great Review. I have the exact same fire pit and love it. The ability to have your fire wherever you choose is awesome. Also comes in handy during summer in the back yard.
I need to get one of those. Over the last summer here in AZ, you were only allowed to have a fire in a regular campground and many didn't have a pit. Especially the Forestry campground. This would be great to take with us for just that purpose.
That scenario is why we decided to try one out. It worked great for winter camping, but there are some places and times of year where it would make things easier. We are always disappointed when we don’t get a fire at camp!
Thanks for watching! True on the side/screen order, but I actually prefer putting on the sides after…it makes it easier to keep clean when breaking it down.
Could be really useful for sure! But to me It’s just another piece of gear to spend money on and another thing to bring in the Jeep so personally I don’t think it’s worth it! My goal in 2021 is really to rethink my entire setup and bring the less stuff as possible and being the more lightweight as possible! Less is More 🤙🏼 great video man !
Oh come on...you can just throw in your new G.A.R.B!!!! 😂 For cold weather camping, this was great. I get your point about $$$ and gear though. We're posting a vid about all of the overlanding leftovers in our garage...it was staggering!
We really liked it during our recent winter overlanding trip. It was nice to be able move it to the best spot between the 5 rigs. We’re looking a few other trips where this would come in really handy. Not a must have item, but really nice to have in some situations.
So far this Fireside Pop Up Fire Pit is holding up nicely. Watch us use it in our Winter Camping video here: th-cam.com/video/DsQNJQM_O74/w-d-xo.html

Thanks for the tip!
I really liked it. Moving the fire to the perfect place was great, and the airflow kept the fire going...well past my bedtime!
Thanks! It was really nice for the snowy trip. It was better to stay up by the fire, than face the cold bed!!

It was especially nice for us during our recent winter overlanding trip. We'll probably start bringing it with on more trips from now on.

Well now that's a pretty neat gadget to have. I haven't seen one of these before.
Thanks for watching!
The sides go on before the screen. Try using a nylon dust brush to remove ash before packing.

Nice review. I have never saw these before.
