I work in a restaurant in the Bay and I served Fred one night. Dude is such a down to earth and pleasant man person to be around. Happy he’s getting the flowers he deserves
I am a Niners fan. But I like football in general, and when the Niners get me down because they're having a sh**ty season I still watch it for other teams play and I like watching talent.
In the past 10 or so years I've never watched a team that deserved more to win. I just want to see these guys win. Warner, Young, Bosa, Ward, Hufanga, Armstead, the rookies, Williams, Purdy, CMC, Aiyuk, Kittle, Juice... Those guys are such outstanding players and are such good people. I know football is tough and unpredictable and anything can happen. But boy, those guys deserve to win. No divas, playing as a whole team, celebrating each other, supporting each other.

MVPurdy is respected in The Bay... for a QB, this is not easy to achieve. Means a lot more then those that chose to blindly hate for personal ego or just for clicks. Here's to the real ones that call it like they see it on the tape

NFL QB's are $50 million a year assets. Brock's cap hit is around $1 million this year and he leads the league in most catagories. Clearly Purdy is the MVP (Most VALUABLE Player) because his salary allows the 9ers to pay other players like Debo, Bosa, and CMC. VALUE is economy/asset related.
Salary is not usually something mentioned when ppl talk about MVP. I've recently been thinking this same thing. Purdy's value based on production and cost can't be beat this year. Jackson is a very good player but he's also a huge hit on his team's cap which is part of the reason there isn't more talent around him. The fact that Lamar is winning games "without any weapons" is kinda his fault for taking so much of the cap space, which makes him less valuable in a way.
That’s a great point and I think it should be factored in. After all, it does have the word “valuable” in it.

And to add to that what happened last year when we lost Brock Purdy in the NFC championship against the Eagles, it would be a big hit if we lost Christian McCaffrey, but the Niners would still be able to function. Much bigger value much more needed. Brock Purdy MVP, there shouldn’t even be a discussion. It is obvious.

Real recognize real. As a niner fan, it didn't stop me from rooting for Peyton Manning in his prime. Talent deserves that recognition sometimes, especially when it's on display at the highest levels in a season.
I've been a niners fan since I was a teenager and I admit what got me into watching the nfl was because of Peyton Manning being on the Colts and Broncos and Drew breese being on the saints with that sb run and winning that in mid 2000s. I do remember the kapenernic era, The Jimmy G era and now I'm witnessing the Brock Purdy era and that kid is still learning and growing. The nfl has changed a lot in recent decades and even though the officiating has been getting bad in recent years I still love watching the Nfl because I don't watch any other professional sports on tv. I do hope the niners make it all the way and now they have the 1st seed and now can rest for a few weeks until the divisional rounds. Go niners!

The 49ers players are all perfectionist. From Warner running from one side of the field to the other within seconds, Aiyuk getting open, Deebo busting through tackles to CMC pushing himself, to breaking more records …these guys push themselves to do better, each and every week, to be better than the last game.
Fred is an absolute beast and I love this team that is assembled right now. For the first time in a long time, I don’t have major anxiety throughout the whole game. It’s limited to about only halftime lol I actually have total and complete faith in this team to bring home #6

I’m going with theyre pushing the narrative away from the clear winner to try to keep the betting odds in play.
Trent Williams said it best in the past week, in that the reason people are hating on Brock is because he is the last pick in the draft, but doing this well. He also stated that how many people passed on him, when they should have given him a chance.
People hating on Brock is a projection of their own mistake of underestimating him.
They’re mostly Niners haters still holding out hope that Brock’s success is just a year-long fluke.

Fred is an insanely nice person in real life.
Brock is a young man that knows his place in the universe. That's where the confidence comes from. That certainty of purpose and what springs from is excellence. But without love of the game and his teammates. That excellence can't be maintained. Together purpose, love, and disciplined effort; not much stops that.

Fred touches on something that I learned a long time ago when I started hiring people to build a team: You don't look for the best guy, you want the right guy. For any position. The personality as part pf the collective is more important than individual accomplishments or ability.
Somebody who is obviously the best at what they do can actually be a significant detriment if there's no connection with the people around them, or (worse) if they come with a toxic attitude. Ultimately they'll do more harm than good.
It's the definition of the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. The brotherhood created by John Lynch is a perfect example of this. Yes, you can cherry pick who might be better here or there, but taken as a whole it's hard to find a better group of guys who want to win for each other

Everyone "blames" the talent around Purdy for his success. Purdy makes under $1M when the average top 10 QB salary is $49.4M. Thats why they have the talent.
Because he signed his contract when he wasn’t playing well. If they reworked their deal least see how “nice” he is. I say he won’t take anything less than what the top tier QBs are making 🤷♂️

I thought the coolest thing about this interview was learning that Bobby Wagner and Fred Warner talk shop together as part of the linebacker fraternity even though they try to kill each other's teams in the same division. Game recognize game.
I admit I'm no Pat McAfee fan but this was a great interview with one of the best linebackers in the league. Pat did a great job interviewing Fred Warner and I'm glad fred spoke so greatly about Brock Purdy. I honestly think that this niners team is way better than the previous years because all these guys have each others backs and they all support one another and they learn from their mistakes.

I watched the first two sections of the Pat Mc show today.. and the Niners were mentioned no more than 10 seconds or so even though the won the nfc west . NFL live today didn’t mention them at all. Weird stuff. Can’t stop them boys by not talking about them!

The tape never lies true that filmed every practice every game in highschool had meetings if you messed up coach takes all the starters and calls you out in the front of the room. While defense does the same on the opposite side of the room. I hated being filmed always but you don't mess up as much when called out. Constructive criticism is good although no one can take it nowadays.
