5:36 He says lock in and shows himself doing a tweener 🤣🤣
haha
I didn't blame Felix/James when they lost second round. Those shots were crazy ,the serves were unbelievably good aswell form both sides
But those kids play for a average college
Think about how many other college kids would beat them!
Felix is getting better tho
@@ThomasProndzinski.. I mean would you rather be d2 at a top tier college or in d1 top seed at a mid tier college?
@@SoloPeakLeveling Personally, I would much rather play for a top D2 program that competes for the NCAA championship than some mid tier D1 that finishes 3rd or 4th in their conference. As overall college experiences go, the former is FAR more exciting and memorable than the latter IMO.
@@ThomasProndzinski.. true
Congrats Felix!
Good luck on your career and we are all supporting you! 🔥🔥🔥
Petition to get alcaraz’s racket smash on the subscribe ad😂😂
yes
do it
UP
Nice to see James appearing on the channel and teaming up with you again. In fact I remember James when he was just 12 or 13. He used to play snooker as a Junior to a decent level and played in the tournaments I used to play in as well. Didn’t know anything about his tennis career until recently (Last year) and great to see him established in the sport as he is, and that atp singles point will come very soon for him I’m sure! 🤞🎾
Well played felix . I once played there and won the grade 4 final.
Second round shows the difference between elite tennis and top-500 level elite tennis, incredible to watch
Love your channel men. You’ve posted your entire carrier pretty much here. Really hope you make it to the top 100 soon💪🏿
Hi Felix glad i found this channel Cam from Tennis talk mentioned the channel so thought i would take a look seen a few of your vids your not a bad player and a fellow Brit well you lost to the eventual winners and got to a Quarter Final so not a bad tournament good luck with the ones coming up.
Waiting for your single win😊
nice to see u improving over the years felix , well done :)
Love watching all the vids Felix!
When tennis brothers posts it's a good day - a wise man
Very wise man
unbelievably wise man
Hey Felix, are you considering a switch to just doubles?
I stopped watching your channel maybe 6 months ago and just came back to this video. I am shocked by the progress you have made... A year ago you were struggling to win an ATP point. Insane.
Nice vid, difficult battle in round 2. Division 1 tennis players are always tough to beat, they’re built different
Im so proud of you bro, youre my inspiration
I still remember the cuevas shot like it was yesterday!
Had great backhand and played with Head PT57E XL racquet
the grand slam debut is getting closer and closer :D
Awesome vid Felix! Id like to record my matches like you so do you think you can make a recording tutorial with the equipment that you use and how you record?
Love your videos mate, they should be longer
Is James rocking a BLX six one 95??? Love that racket.
Those second round opponents were just too solid. Beating them would take some serious, dedicated doubles practice. Look like the kinds of folks Simon Freund and his partner are playing in Challengers finals.
Good attitude about it-always something to learn playing up.
this video boutta be fire
Awesome work, keep going !
congrats brother
Well done young man.
hope you achieve this success in singles
James is a solid player very good volleys. Would be good to see singles matches of him
Fun fact: He used to play snooker to a decent level as a junior and used to compete in the same tournaments I was playing. I think he stopped at about 13 to focus on his tennis though
@@galaxytb147 That is interesting. Snooker players have very fine touch, visualisation, geometrical spatial awareness but going from Snooker to Tennis is still quite a jump. I dont think I have ever heard of it before. What level do you play snooker at?
@@mattiastennis Well right now, I play in the English and the European Ameteur tour, which are a series of ranking tournaments before turning professional. I’d say in practice I’m fairly decent can hit 70,80,90 breaks on my day, but in tournaments I’ve always been struggling to compete to my potential, I feel I’m not at the level where I should be at. Im still putting the practice in as much as I can so we’ll see
@@galaxytb147 Thats all you can do then and keep doing
Felix, you coming to any Australian tournaments this year or next? Futures going on in Queensland in October, November and December before Brisbane, Adelaide and AO
What about singles?
Exactly
He is likely going to drop singles and focus on doubles, he doesn’t have the talent to make it to top 1000 in singles. You need to be around a 13-14 utr to even compete at that level. Felix is barely a 12. I recommend he takes the college route but tbh he wouldn’t be able to compete at the top colleges.
@@themrbalake2718personally I think he has the ability to be much higher in singles but lacks the mental strength when a match gets close and starts playing very weak, short balls
@@LilJoshy yea, I have noticed that. If he was able to keep the ball at the baseline on 90% of his shots like most atp players he would be able to dominate in singles. He has the power but definitely lacks the mentals. I feel like he just needs a coaching upgrade, somebody who has experience coaching top level pros.
@@themrbalake2718 yeh I agree, it comes down to a money issue then though, I think it can be tough working your way up with little financial backing although I don’t know his financial at all that’s for Felix personally. Hopefully he can work on the mental aspect and push on up the ranks
We want to see singles!
Felix moving up in the world.
Looking forward to Asia..
2 things here Felix, you are at the level where you got down the basics of doubles well. so first you need to watch your opponents movements, and learn to reflect their movements and the ball is in play, this is especially true when you are up at the net, this gives you the opportunity to plan ahead for the next shot be it a winner from you or a stable defensive return in response to your opponents shot. secondly, when playing doubles last second adjustments to your shot form is key to sending your shots deep enough so as to prevent your opponents from putting away the shot, you must have noticed that when you are off balance your shots are too shallow, perfect for your opposing net player. train to keep your shot form compact and your balance steady between both feet even as you move, this will allow you to move smoother and giving you the balance to drive your shots deeper even with a compact form and even when you are in an awkward position to hit the ball properly. train the strength of your wrists more so your shots are heavier even when they are shallow, but caution, that you massage your wrist and forearm muscles daily so you don't lose the suppleness and flexibility in your wrists which is key to play deceptive volleys. keep up the good work, god bless.
well done men keep at it
Go pro in doubles my boy
video was fire
I lowkey wanna see u win a grand slam 😊
Never thought I’d see someone with my full name winning a doubles tennis tournament and being ranked so highly in the ATP 😂
the next alcarez
Singles?😢
it’s coming!
Tennis is a really tough sport
Nice man
Bro is a full time doubles player now😅
haha , nearly , just coming back from injury dubs is easier on the body , singles coming soon
congrats!
what string are u using?
More singles pleaaaaase
comjng soon
Were are you traveling to in Asia you could do a fan meetup
I see you watched challengers
Arghh thought was the single
what software do you edit your videos with
2:19 isnt he cheating here?
out
Nah that was long
Yes. Slow down the video or record the screen, go frame by frame. Very in. He had dodgy calls in the past. One to get a match point, one double bounce I remember. Was criticized a while ago but not by fans that watch his videos every week, they are too loyal and blind to call him out.
@@DATennisit was clearly out😂
3:08 why did you cut out what happens next?
“We weren’t playing badly, our opponents were just too good” said Felix as he’s losing 1:6 0:4…
Ggs
Have you thought about really focusing on doubles you seem to have more success there
Hi
wow
Come to Asia 😉
Difficult to play without a screen over the fence and traffic moving...
