John Deere 8600i & John 8R 310 forest tractors Harvesting Willow Trees

Last week I got the chance to film this John Deere 8600i Forage Harvester in the forest chopping Willow trees. The wood chips is being transported out to the road with two John Deere 8R 310 and high load wagons. All machines is equipped with forestry setups.

What do they use the wood chips for?

Mostly they let it dry first, then either turn into pellets for heating homes or to big heat plants that burns it as it is to make heat for towns and electricity as well as a biproduct from the steam and excess heat generated

They use it for willow-compost and sell it for gardeners.
