- Brimming with confidence, the Bordeaux native continues to make his mark on Day 1 of the WSOP $50,000 High Roller. But beware: at this very tough table, danger lurks everywhere...
Inside the Mind of a Pro takes you right to the heart of the action in major poker tournaments on the professional circuit. As the 2023 World Series of Poker gets underway, Team Winamax knows it will have its work cut out to surpass the previous 3 editions, during which it managed to win no fewer than 6 bracelets in total. With a mix of new faces and established names, this season offers a new exploration of the highest level of play, filmed exclusively at the heart of the ancestral temple of poker: the WSOP.

Tough run for Romain at the end there but he can hold his head high for playing well. That call with K high in the last episode and his breakdown of it was some of the best I have seen on this show so far. Thank you Winamax and looking forward to more!
I SO enjoy the Winamax series. I'm surprised that there aren't a hundred thousand views. This was a great episode as we see what happens when top pros get dealt no winning hands. No matter how brilliant a player is if he is card dead, he's on to the next tournament. Even the best in the world fail to cash 80+ % of there buyin's. It's good to occasionally get an indepth look at such a normal day in the career of a tournament pro.
Romain has one of the best personalities from the Winamax pros
Anyone have any tricks making/ai dubbing this into english ?
People don’t realize how much of luck is there in tournaments. Playing a $50k tourney is no different than playing blackjack while counting cards. Sure you may have an edge but how often are you risking $50k to capitalize on the edge.
Players get pulled into this false mindset of “fomo” or that they could be the one to win it. It’s also similar to the mystery bounty format. Every Tom dick and harry thinks/dreams he is pulling the mystery.
Argentina 4 France 0
Why not in English?
I like the subtitles personally.
He can't speak English at all.
@@zainsyed9811🤣
Why is Romain even playing a 50k highroller? let’s be honest, he doesn’t belong at those stakes.
lets be real its a live donkament he could totally spike one if he had the right distribution. is he crushing at this stake? probably not but hes definitely capable of winning. if his backer wants to put him in then why not fire it
From that perspective most 50k rollers don’t belong there.
Who deserves what is irrelevant. What is relevant is he is playing and you are not. So stfu
In a big field of 50k like this he might be able to get chips early where the percentage of recreational rich players is high.
In the circuit of 50k shr around the world his EV would be really negative. He wouldn't play them, but if he's got a backer for this one and he's not putting more than 10k, he can take a chance.
Come on now really! Anyone can play any tournament as long as you have the bankroll, say he shouldn't have the bankroll is fine, but that he doesn't belong, how does, Bill Perkins play in the highest stakes, etc? Not by experience, because of their wallet.
Who are you to judge?
Would be great if he speaks English
You are a clear example that human body can continue to function long after the brain has died.
Ha ha. Touche
Pretty sick beat that romains speaking French again and not English. No bien
IS he french ?
Do you sée others speaking french when they Come frome other country
Why? Do you only speak one language?? You must be stupid af no offence 🤣 I do speak 4 languages 😎
Yesh
Can y’all put English speakers pls 😂
Because Winamax is french ...
Just read the subtiles and enjoy . Did WE Ask for foreign players to talk french ?
Actually French did colonize most of africa and South America and forced them to speak French🎉
@@samuraijack1371 Yep like mongols or arabic peoples back in the day . WE Can play that little game if you want .
@@chulako94there is a difference between spread of language and colonization. Do not put them on the same footing. Maybe they didn’t teach you that in the school out of shame but lot of people have faced it first hand and still do till this day!
@@samuraijack1371 ahah arabic and mongols used to colonize and kill all opponents who were not ok with it . What r you talking about . Do not try to talk about éducation . And nothing to do here on a poker vidéo by the way ! You a smart Guy 🤣
@@samuraijack1371 mongols and arabe used to colonise or kill people . Just study a bit more budy ... Same as France not the same Era .
He Said to me spread language, 🤣🤣🤣mongols and arab conquerors ... Ahahah
@22:54 “trapping” with AA is terrible play.
maybe he thought, only a flush will bet here, if I bet, he might just call, and if no one has a flush they will most likely fold to almost all bets. So why not check and see if one of the two value bets with a flush and I can jam. Just speculating haha
However, now that i think about it, a small bet would've been better(?) maybe get a call from a 3 of a kind and if you are lucky some flush might get greedy and rise?
