I really want to like Rip and his program. But it just seems to keep chubby guys chubby. That's not really very tricky. Anyone can do that.

It's just hard to respect a fitness professional who can't tuck in a T-shirt.

@@TheLAXTeaParty I think the confusion here is about what is considered "fitness". 15-20% body fat is perfectly healthy. Especially if you can back it up with some serious weight on the major exercises. Its been said before but I'll say it again, we dont care about your abs.

I'll bite. The steps to become a Starting Strength coach are as follows:
    1. Have a valid credit card.
    2. Buy the books.
    3. Gain weight.
    4. Learn to count to five.
    5. Pronounce hip drive correctly.
Steps 3-5 can be accomplished in any order.

You can't expect me to take starting strength seriously when you have a grandmaw that can't lift jack , giving advice or coaching the program. Put somone that knows what there talking about up here please not somone that doesn't even train hard

No one expects anything of you. Do whatever you want; it is of no consequence...

Yall need to seriously reconsider yalls representives. Even if I was drunk I would know better then to go to this old woman for advice on getting stronger. Look at here she ain't lifting nothing

What do you think is the purpose of starting strength?

I had a woman, skinnier, and older than this lady, take my squat from 525 to 605 in 9 weeks. Don't judge the acumen of a coach by their looks.
