Mauritius, Trinidad, and Guyana are very similar due to our mix of African and Indian mix in music, food, and people, we have the same history on how we came to Mauritius and the Caribbean. Mauritius was the experiment for bringing in indentured labourers after the abolishment of slavery in the 18th century. As it worked in Mauritius, they took Indians people to the Caribbean. Actually, the ship would stop at Mauritius and pick more Indians before heading towards Guyana or Trinidad. Sorry for the long history lessons. My family has all 3 countries mixed in it. But Trini's do party harder....
