My varnishing turned sticky before, something i obviously did wrong so i am pleased i found your tips on what to use and how to use it, thanks very much!
Thanks for the tips ! ❤ On Friday my right leg decided it didn't want to work. I live 2 blocks from the Friday concerts . I can hear it at home . But this one I needed to go there ! I grew up with the lead singer . I haven't seen him in 10 years ! And I have never seen this band . A very popular 80s cover band in our state . So I drug my leg and walked down there . 😂 (yes I suppose there were other options like driving 2 blocks or taking my cane ) I survived though . I pulled my long time asleep cane out this morning . Don't ask what I was using yesterday (starts with reach er or a grab ber same thing ha ) . Anyways it was so worth it ! He didn't see me and left on my FB today he wished he would have but thanks for coming out to play ! Aw. I will put my pics and good 5 second video on Instagram tonight. I gotta learn how to do videos , I had to delete the others . I had everything on it except the stage or band . I saw lots of old friends even cousins ! 😁

Great info. I want to try this on my baby. Would be more protection for paint. I had seen a video saying to use a magic eraser, but I was afraid I would ruin her paint, my doll is 8 yrs old. If I wanted to add a little color to her lips can you add some air dry paint to the mod podge? Can mod podge be used on a manufactured berenguer doll for lips and nails? Will it adhere to the vinyl? I'm very careful with my dolls but I've always wanted to enhance them a bit but too afraid of messing something up. Love your video's, very informative and fun to watch. I had just watched an older one with baby yoda's first outing thru the car wash. So cute! Have a great weekend!
I would use the air dry paint on your babies lips first and allow it to fully dry maybe wait quite a few days and then you can use the Marge podge gloss to gloss the lips over and yes you can use it on any vinyl doll including manufactured dolls. 💗

Any varnish or paint you use will eventually wear down or fade with time, heat set, air dry etc. you just have to know when they will need touch ups and make sure you keep up. The more you change them, touch them or hold them, the faster it will happen just like anything else you use. Nothing stays perfect forever.
Thank you Misty!!! I have been needing to find something to varnish my babies and this seems like my answer! Does this also work as a sealer as well? I’d love to find a good primer for some of my softer vinyl babies that don’t want to take paint. Have you any suggestions on that?
It should work as a primer for air dry, I would test it on a limb first. I use Genesis heat set paints and for the heat set paints I use Genesis thinning medium as my primer, I let it dry and I bake it and then paint.
@@KitstoKradlesNursery I use GHSP too but there’s absolutely no mediums to be had especially the thinning medium. The few things I can find are teensy amounts for excessive prices even before the stupefying price for shipping the tiny thing. It’s gotten more than frustrating 😕I have just about lost hope of ever getting back to doing my babies. Really depressing actually as this has been a dream for some time. I really just started last October and didn’t really how much of everything I would need. By the time I did it was too late 😜 Oh well, time to try acrylics I guess.
I don’t know, I have that too and will have to test it at some point. You can test the bottom of a toe, just sponge it on very lightly on the bottom if a big toe and let dry over night. I will do a test soon and film. 💗

You can if you need to with just a soft cloth and plain warm water. Let dry first, then apply
Do you recommend gently cleaning the face with mild soap and water? Will this help decrease shine?

Just use warm water and a very soft cloth or cotton makeup circle.
I used folk art satin finish to varnish and it came out too glossy. Can this liquiditex matte take the shine away if I layer it with this?

I have a question. I just did some touchup using the LIQUITEX and she still looks shiny. Should i use it again, or should i just give it 24 hrs?
