Thank u for such an honest and open video! Saying it and showing it as it is!😊 I agree about the food situation, it's not just TN, though as u know. It's a challenge! Wishing u a happy new year!🎉
Hi Alice! Welcome back to my backyard again! Williamson county is a beautiful place to live. If you’re interested in another waterfall hike, checkout Virgin Falls State Natural Area, about 10 miles east of Sparta, TN. It’s a 9 mile round trip with a few smaller falls, caves, then the 110’ Virgin Falls. I did it this past September.
@@AliceFordAdventures Here’s the state website for Virgin Falls. I hope you had a Merry Christmas, and I wish you the best in the coming new year. www.tn.gov/content/tn/environment/program-areas/na-natural-areas/natural-areas-middle-region/middle-region/na-na-virgin-falls.html
Best of your video’s in times! Not because of the location (which is nice, ok) but because its the most honest and true ive seen you. Love that. Keep this style of video’s 😊 go girl 💪🏼
Dear Alice, I really liked this video))) Thank you for the interesting tour! But, I'm looking forward to your review of Grand Teton National Park! Do you have any such plans?
Nothing beats the smell of a new car. How are you Alice. First, Happy New year! Thanks for all the travels this past year. This video was a bit strange compared to the usual, but honest, great comments. There is a sense of freedom in travelling. It is liberating, therefore nourishing mind and soul... and having wine while sitting in front of a bonfire does it for me. 🍷🍁🌲🪵🇨🇦🇺🇸🎅🏻
I’m really looking forward to watching this one :-) I’m heading up to the Gatlinburg, Southwest, North Carolina, and North, west section of South Carolina in a couple of days. Going to fight the crowds for New Year’s Eve and Gatlinburg and then kind of get lost in the mountains. Looking forward to some of the places you’re going to share I’m quite sure :-)
Liking the candid mid-December ennui style. The words Road to Nowhere set the existential tone - anomie in a void. An allegory for the human condition. Panda knows.
@@lesselp glad you enjoyed this more unfiltered version of me. Thanks so much for watching and hoping we can all find some joy and inspiration in the new year
Happy new year! Sorry your trip to Dollywood was a let down. I visited 2 years ago and loved the charm of it. I found the theme park to be super nostalgic and was intrigued by the local artisans working on various crafts. Though not healthy, the smell of the cinnamon bread from the Grist Mill is iconic. I wouldn’t rate it as the top amusement park in the US, but I found the setting of it - tucked within the Smoky Mountains - to be such a cozy vibe especially during the Christmas season. Anyway, no one asked for my opinion, but thought I’d stand up for Dolly a bit! 😂
Alice this is the most frazzled that I think I have seen you in a video, but your honesty is appreciated. Tennesse has several National Military Parks worth exploring for the Civil War. I think you would benefit from going on a canoe trip for a couple of days in northern Michigan, time of the year isn't critical. For vegans and vegetarians it would be smart to pack your meals and buy fresh / frozen foods at grocery stores along the way. Dehydrated apple slices and oatmeal would make a easy breakfast.
Love your videos, Alice, but after 5+ minutes, I had to give up on what felt like a Nissan infomercial. And having Dollywood in the title wasn't about to keep me hanging around. Will look forward to your next!
RAW and unfiltered Alice Ford, love it; great stuff. Hope all the best for you next year!!
@@PHM00 thank you so much I may need to update the title to that

Alice, loved this one. The slightly sarcastic funny banter is excellent. Please do more videos like this, LOL.

@@gdavew63 thank you for the suggestion. I would have liked to do a few longer hikes on this trip but was trying to cover a lot of ground

@@AliceFordAdventures Indeed. Hope springs eternal and all that.
Thanks Alice for the great video. I have the same problem when I am in Tennessee, no Whole Food stores close by. I hope you have a great 2025.
Well, there's one in Franklin, TN (Cool Springs area), and another in Green Hills, just south of downtown. I'm sure there are more...

Alice I loved your video, but I won't be visiting Dollywood. Thank you for sharing.
@@maxmillion4216 Thank you Max, this was. Bit more unfiltered than usual glad you enjoyed it anyways. I’d skip Dollywood too
Hang in there, Alice. You have to find a regular full-size grocery store, like a Piggley Wiggley or a Winn Dixie.
Yes I sure do next time I’ll bring more food and not rely on local cafes
Alice time for the azores lol ❤️❤️
Looking forward to your future adventures , all the best .
Hi Alice. Tell me more about this car, I kind like it.
Looks fun !
Should have gone into Sewanee to Sterlings

The Nissan portion ends as soon as the roadtrip starts, but thanks for trying it out anyways.
Thankfully you managed to miss Kentucky.
