Bunch of hard working farmers. Thanks for all you do to help feed the😢 world. God bless you with rain when you need it. Thanks for sharing your farm with us.
Good evening Granny hope you are having a wonderful day, man that crop of corn grew mighty quick seems like yall just planted it hope you have a great harvest, Daniel
Fuel filters like oil filters, change at regular service intervals, to keep everything running at top performance I changed oil at 75 hrs and 150 on fuel. I did filter before it was put in the equipment also. Switched from old standard fuel oil to Ruby Red premium fuel. Clean dry fuel always. The corn reminds me of Iowa in 1988 , stay strong better weather is on the horizon. River bottom can be very tricky with all of the sand involved. I would eliminate waiting for rain man , that lake will provide nice water supply. Your yield is good compared to 1988. I combined all of the corn acres. some was corn on corn 24 rows half a mile long to fill up the hopper of the combine, 30 inch width.
I fricking love it! You’re the only guy I’ve come across who gets in the field for corn harvest before me. I’m sure some Texas guys have us all beat though. For 10 of the past 23 years, I’ve been working with some parent seed from the land grant system out of Nebraska. Real short season stuff. What has had all my neighbors scratching their heads, is that I’m also the last one in the field to plant. Around here, the cow is king. I love all the grazing time I get in the spring and the fall.
You must be talking about Corteva parent seed plant north of Utica. I've been hauling grain to Utica for 45 yrs, it's usually middle of Sept when they start getting corn.
All u had to do was screw out the valve to drain out the bowl and drain it into a bucket instead of all over the ground. Usually it only takes a few ounces of fuel drained from that bowl to clear that code.
Here in my area of NC we have been hit with 8 to 10 inches of rain in a 10 day stretch and are in the path of Debby corn is ready but don't know when the farmers can get In the field due to wetness
Im in the Dillon, SC/ Robeson county NC area. They are projecting 10-18 inches here now. We were dry thru June and July but have gotten around 8 inches in the past week or so.
That little clip you pried out of your water sensor, just take your thumb and push that in and it will release. Hello from Iowa. Great video. This is my favorite farming channel and I watch them all. Stay safe guys.
Welker’s Farm in Montana is on their 4rth drought year. It’s so hard to watch you farmers put all that work into prepping the fields & planting then not getting rain. In our area of PA, surrounded by mountains on all sides, the rain goes around us. Our rain barrels were only filled 3x this year. We’re only concerned about our gardens, not big farms.
Really like your humbleness and honesty with everything. Some farm channels are just brag brag. I looked up Benton, Alabama on google maps right next to the river! Where is the corn field you’re working on? Blackwell bin? Bend? Pardon my northern accent…😂
Daniel, just a friendly piece of advice here. Brake cleaner can actually damage plastic especially fuel filter bowls and the plastic caps on semi hubs. It causes them to weaken and get small cracks in them. Its better to use starting fluid to clean them. Keep the videos coming.
I was wondering if you test your corn for aflatoxins? I know it can be an issue for corn that has been cooked from early grain fill to maturity. Thanks for your channel! It’s interesting to see how you southern farmers do things.
Hi Daniel I’m in upstate South Carolina we have been dry also I’m thinking about trying a case ih combine , are they better than Deere I’m running a 680 now it does a good job looking at a second combine had a 9770 sold it to my neighbor thanks 🚜
Few appreciate the risk taking farmers are subjected to due to weather, market conditions, political winds, world events and just plain ole bad luck. Making a profit is like winning the lottery sometimes - few real winners but the faithful keep on going.
Looks fairly dry , what is it testing. Is it going 110 bushels to the acre ??? You have some of the best drone work on TH-cam. You guys take care and stay safe. Hope you had a great weekend Granny. Take care and stay cool this week. About time for Daniel and you to sit down and talk on a rainy day or a Sunday afternoon.
Just depends because if he doesn’t own the field it doesn’t make good business sense to install pivots. If you do own the land it’s definitely worth it, a large percentage of ours are under pivots just to Daniel’s Northeast
In eastern nc we just started spraying cotton to regulate growth and itll be middle of September before we even start cutting corn but i think our shit worst than Alabama and delta stuff
The good is what could have been. 1 good year out of 7 is what a farmer once told me. That is similar to rings on tree stumps. 6 close rings and one wide enough to see well.
It's always something, you get everything fixed during the winter and then when it is go time you realize a few things come up during hibernation. If Thomas is in baseball this season I hope he is doing well. I saw in the last video he can really hit. Have a great Sunday!
As bad as you think it is Daniel, I saw some bad corn in Southeastern NC a few weeks ago that was WAY worse. Exept in low areas of the fields the corn made no ears at all. It never pollinated. I had these little nubins that were roteen. I'm sure it was full of aflatoxin as well. This was over a very large area of SE NC and NE SC
Im in NE SC and I remember a few years ago we had aflatoxin bad cuz it was so dry. The local elevator was rejecting truck after truck. We all had to find another elevator to take it.
We do in Central Bama, especially since we started no till. We experimented with oats and clover but the wheat seems to be doing the best for us as a cover crop
Granny, Good Afternoon! Hope you have had a Great Sunday! Best Wishes for a Blessed week. Great Video Daniel!!. Y'all are amazing. Dad knows everything! Everyone knows and does it with a smile!
Hello my friend! Just one observation...next time that you will remove the sensor conector you don't need to remove the metal clip using a screw driver, you just need to press the clip with your finger and then easily pull the conector ok? Nice to watch your videos. Greetings from Mato Grosso state, Brasil
Wouldn't a 1,000 PTO 20' batwing Bush Hog do the same job? It would flex verses a rigid backbone flail mower. Just asking. And how's Granny? She needs to make a guest appearance soon.
I think you will be sorry you didn't do some minimum tillage on the level ground. You'll have better stand, weed and pest control. Just an old farmer speaking from experience.
We sell sweet tea in Canada, when we get American customers, we make ice tea for them, unsweetened. Glad to see you like sweet tea. !!! love your overhead shots, I cant get over how large your fields are. Elliot Lake , Ontario, Canada
Bunch of hard working farmers. Thanks for all you do to help feed the😢 world. God bless you with rain when you need it. Thanks for sharing your farm with us.
Thinking back to manual harvesting and now having these machines, what a miracle of technology!
This video was a perfect mix of fun and entertainment. Loved it!
great love to see the combine getting, after the corn. Hope, your yield improves. Many areas short on moisture crops little thin.
Good evening Granny hope you are having a wonderful day, man that crop of corn grew mighty quick seems like yall just planted it hope you have a great harvest, Daniel
Good evening!!
Can you talk about all the sand mining that is going on? What is it used for? Is that part of your family’s business?

Hope you guys have a safe and great harvest this year.
Long time viewer here. I just wanted to say the editing on these vids is incredible.
Man i love the way when its go time you guys just change gears and move like a well oiled machine
Love the videos. I grew up not far from hwy 80 with farms all around us. Brings back lots of memories.
Daniel, great drone footage, my man. God bless you and your family, and hello to granny!
Drink!

Thanks for watching 😁👍
Da corn look pretty good Mr Daniels in different places of the field excellent job cutting the 🌽💪👍

My word. Yesterday you were just planting. Now it’s already harvest season. Time flies. Have a safe harvest.
Lack.of rain kills off the corn in short order.
@@beckyumphrey2626we’re all picking this month regardless
Good morning from Oklahoma Granny. Good to see you starting corn harvest. Stay safe.
Drink!
That's the way our corn looked last year here in northeast Kansas.
Not what we were hoping for on this farm, thanks for watching 😁👍
Really like your humbleness and honesty with everything. Some farm channels are just brag brag. I looked up Benton, Alabama on google maps right next to the river! Where is the corn field you’re working on? Blackwell bin? Bend? Pardon my northern accent…😂
Great video! Love the drone footage.
Here in Eastern NC we have alot of corn that didn't even tassel. The whole month of June we only got quarter in of rain.
Daniel, just a friendly piece of advice here. Brake cleaner can actually damage plastic especially fuel filter bowls and the plastic caps on semi hubs. It causes them to weaken and get small cracks in them. Its better to use starting fluid to clean them. Keep the videos coming.
Great info and I almost grabbed a can of starter fluid to clean it and decided on brake fluid, thanks for watching 😁👍
I got corn bores. I also have wheat stem saw flies. I can't get a hold of the Department of Agriculture ! What the hell can I do?
I was wondering if you test your corn for aflatoxins? I know it can be an issue for corn that has been cooked from early grain fill to maturity. Thanks for your channel! It’s interesting to see how you southern farmers do things.
Nice looking corn!!!

All the rain is down in Florida right now , its pouring buckets here
What crop u no-till into corn ground next yr?
Few appreciate the risk taking farmers are subjected to due to weather, market conditions, political winds, world events and just plain ole bad luck. Making a profit is like winning the lottery sometimes - few real winners but the faithful keep on going.
Shredding the stalks with that flail shredder will make excellent mulch.
If you no-till that field next year, will it go into beans or grain sorghum?
Good video! I hope your harvest improves, give your granny my best!
Drink!

Granny. Take care and stay cool this week. About time for Daniel and you to sit down and talk on a rainy day or a Sunday afternoon.
I work down in Alabama I remember eating at Hancock's barbecue nice video
It would cost some money but it would pay for itself in 2 years time to put in a irrigation it’s hard to make money on dry land corn
Just depends because if he doesn’t own the field it doesn’t make good business sense to install pivots. If you do own the land it’s definitely worth it, a large percentage of ours are under pivots just to Daniel’s Northeast
Damn Daniel sure hope the rest of your crops yield better
Love watching your videos but clearly someone needs to explain to you how a fuel separator works.
Hey Daniel love all of your videos. ? for you is this the earliest you have ever harvested corn Im in NC
In eastern nc we just started spraying cotton to regulate growth and itll be middle of September before we even start cutting corn but i think our shit worst than Alabama and delta stuff
Crazy the difference in timelines on crops, thanks for watching 😁👍
Great video. We.get a big kick out of you using your hands when talking. Your channel is awesome. God Bless.
Do a farm tour. I would love to see that
It’s picking season now, they might have time come December😂
Good video good to see y'all
Hope this hurricane doesn't give you too much water. Calling for up to 30" in SC. Can't even fathom that.
We won’t get any of the Debby rain
The fact hes flying the drone off the ipad on the window in the combine
A lot going on when the drone is in the air, thanks for watching 😁👍
Good job guys
Does Alabama have a good no till land conservation subsidy program?
The good is what could have been. 1 good year out of 7 is what a farmer once told me. That is similar to rings on tree stumps. 6 close rings and one wide enough to see well.
Do you store grain on your farm or go a coop ?
If u are looking to put irrigation put riser head in n use a reel run
It's always something, you get everything fixed during the winter and then when it is go time you realize a few things come up during hibernation. If Thomas is in baseball this season I hope he is doing well. I saw in the last video he can really hit. Have a great Sunday!
What is the dirt being loaded, are you mining for gold?
Hello Granny, hope you’re having a great day, GODS good
Thanks!!

Thats what you called laid back
How much rainfall per year here?
Awesome Video!!
Thanks for watching 😁👍
Are y'all playing fall baseball ?
Are you losing money on this corn?
Can't believe it's harvest time.
Do you plant winter wheat in AL Daniel?
We do in Central Bama, especially since we started no till. We experimented with oats and clover but the wheat seems to be doing the best for us as a cover crop
If you push the clip in the sensor will just release
Sweet, thanks for watching 😁👍
UP and Down yields are all over the USA too much rain to not enough. It is what it is.
Hate how bad corn was but lunch looked great
It was very good, thanks for watching 😁👍
Daniel y'all might as well cut those pine trees down they just going to get bigger.
They’re likely not on his land and he can’t right now
THANKS!
Hello Granny,Daniel and all the gang

I dunno as that 520 is chopping it pretty dang good. Our brand new 2660 VT doesn’t chop it as good as that 520 did in this video
👍
I'm sure those fields won't be harvested except for the bottoms
According to my calculations if all your corn looked like the big ears 200 bu
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
With a drought and low price s i am sure it makes things hard
98 temp
Good afternoon granny have a great day
Thank you for watching.
Hate to see the poor corn Daniel, but it’s good to see y’all. Keep the faith and God Bless all y’all at Triple R Farms…hello Granny🇺🇸🙏🏻🇺🇸
I think you will be sorry you didn't do some minimum tillage on the level ground. You'll have better stand, weed and pest control. Just an old farmer speaking from experience.
Government no till land Subsidies are a popular thing nowadays and many times are more profitable than tilling.
@@beckyumphrey2626I bet the government knows best. 🤣
poly pipe that corn

You can’t be from the South and not like sweet tea🤷🏻♂️😂
Thats just a northern thing. We dont drink that abomination in the south 😂
it hot here which not normal
Where is here? It’s always 90-100° (and has hit almost 110° a few times) here in Bama every summer
