I love it! I have worn it for over a month and I get so many compliments. I love how it evolves on my skin and with my chemistry. I’m on my second bottle ⭐️
Exactly at least you wear it and it's your unique smells still not very common . Woman don't think he is smelling like 5 others guys she already dates 😂
A very fair review Ash. For me, it's exactly what I expected. No designer brand seems to be immune from the prevailing trends. I just can't help but feel bad for the perfumers. No wonder so many of them have started their own brands.
I disagree with you on this one. Very clean, unique crisp release here by Hermès. Lasts quite long on the skin too. A metallic green fragrance would be my description of the scent . Not a blind buy though. A modern masculine fragrance that is out there to present something new to the fragrance community.
That was a pretty fair and insightful review, Ash. I gotta say, I was a bit let down ever since I saw the presentation but maybe I’ll come around as well! 👍🏻
I'm not really sure what people want or were expecting from a classically French house like Hermes 🤷♂️ more oud, more beast mode woody Amber's? This is Hermès people.
Bought it the 2nd I saw it and loved it. Creamy Green Goodness. Maybe it dosnt last long enough but it’s a freshie so what’s the problem with just spraying more on. I just really love the opening to mid so I keep spraying it lol 😂
My H24 is evaporating. I’ve only owned it for a couple of months and sprayed only a few times. It’s down about 1/4 inch. I’ve put a thread sealer on it to hopefully slow the evaporation.
Great thoughtful, thorough and honest review, Ash. I can tell you put a lot of time and thought into this - as you always do - and that’s why I watch and subscribe. Appreciate the deep dive!
I will defintely buy it. I had it on my arm a few days ago and couldnt stop sniffing it. And i dont know if they have special Tester bottles with increased strength (i dont think it is. :D) but i could smell it reaaally long. Like from 2 pm until i went to sleep at night.
Ash! Great honest review. Not tried it yet, but for me, I really don’t like the look of that bottle. Problem is, I think Hermès set the bar pretty high with the TDH bottle and the font styling, ultra classy!
This is exactly how I felt after smelling h24 yesterday evening, The woman who was work at Hermes said she loved it, after she sprayed it on me I almost immediately said I didn't like it the opening was very short lived and it went into the mid/drydown very quickly it's definitely different but nowhere near the versatility of Terre I personally couldn't even wear this one casually. I really wanted to like this one.
Its funny because i brought this because of the open i just had to have it but then i started wearing and its just ok to me but ppl love the drydown it gets compliments like crazy and i’m 23 btw
Got it on now and agree with your assessment. Love terre d'hermes and wanted to be blown away by H24 but it’s just ok I’m afraid. Don’t get me wrong, the dry down is really nice, better than the opening and I’ve smelt fresh all day, but over all it’s just a sold 7/10. Fingers crossed they bring out an EDP which is better
We need a video of like high end/niche modern men’s fragrances. I’ve been looking for a modern men’s fragrance like an ambroxan bomb or something but different to the Sauvage’s and whatever. I actually picked up Tygar for an excellent price so have that coming and am keeping an eye out for Jovoy Conduit Street
I've had two 1.5ml samplers now and I don't get any metallic or green notes. It's all mango in the top and heart. Refreshing but classy. I really like it. Sort of a classier A&F First Instinct. I'll get it as soon as the 50ml drops below €50.
I like H24. The smell of steamed ironed fresh clothes. It's not for everyone though. You are right when you are saying they are doing what sauvage did. I called it on fragrantica a green sauvage. Fair review!
Hey Ash, you should check out Hermes Eau des Mervilles, probably one of the greatest fragrances I've personally ever smelled. It's marketed as a women's fragrance but it's 100% unisex to me.
I tried this in person and it literally smells like freshly cut foliage/stems. It would be a nice linen mist but that's about it. Also it completely disappeard after like an hour on clothes and skin
I do however prefer the choice of aroma chemical they decided to go with being a more sophisticated smell alongside being similar to their other ones from the past.
This does have that smoldering smell.. my room smelled like something was burning or steaming when i sprayed it.. and this was before I saw this review, so they def did that correct.. this scent reminds me of a version of Curve if curve had more florals and smelled like green bananas.. I didn't like this one at first cause it reminded me of green banana shampoo. Not sure why no one talks about how it smells like bananas. But this gets a ton of compliments. The few times I wore it I practically got a compliment from someone every time.. which is weird cause it doesn't usually happen to me these days.. Also I can't figure out the performance cause someone complimented me once across the room like 15+ feet. The projection in the opening for me is monstrous. I don't know if there are diff batches or a sort of nose blindness people suffer from?
I’ve been wearing H24 for a couple of days now and I think it smells somewhere between Terre d’Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche and one of the Jardin range, maybe Un Jardin Sur Le Nil. So nothing really new, but perfectly pleasant. I think Terre d’Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche is a little more sophisticated.
I do think I love it because I’m fed up with everything designer being sweet to super sweet or incredibly citrus.it’s just that fragrance is now just going through a dry phase for fantastic releases that are different. I have only 94 frags atm. Time to go niche and drop typical designers to find better different frags I guess ??????
@@likeliterally7077 yeah think I have a problem lol but I’ve got the designers all caught up with. Now it’s time to go back into the minefield of niche
11:40 As a teenager I really dig the smell of H24. I got a sample of it a while ago from Norstrom, when I first smelled it I was like, not bad but not my cup of tea. I think it was because of the sharpness it has from the metallicness and its botanical/ greenness to it. But now spraying it again it really grew on me maybe because my taste in fragrances changed/matured. I really like it now but what's stopping me is its steep price of around 90-100 dollars. It's a great fragrance but not worth the price to me.
I get sour note in the beginning n through the life of the fragrance I get a flower note. Which is little different. Metalic note is not too strong here.
I’ve loved many of the soft, fleeting Jardins from Hermes (except Lagune, ugh) and H24 fits in with that line except more mineral rather than grassy or citrusy. I love it :-) I’m not a brand or designer snob at all, I just enjoy the Hermes DNA of clean, light fragrances
I got a few samples today. Starts off really fresh smelling really nice for the first 10 to 15 minutes and then after that it really dies out quick. I can't believe Hermès put this into production. It's missing substance. I'm so disappointed because I was looking forward to something Awesome.
In general it´s not a bad scent. Fesh in green opening with a slight turn in some kind of mineral taste is u unique profile. But I totally agree that this one is not a masterpiece. It´s some kind of ok´ish fragrance for those who looking for an unmcomplicated spring scent. But there a lots of other fragrances out there for the same category.
I tried this and quite liked it. I'm used to people over-hyping certain brands and Hermès is one of them along with Dior & Chanel. Terre d'Hermès is surely a modern (ish) timeless classic, as is Bleu de Chanel, although I've only tried H24 once I think Ash may be right, it's not going to be regarded like those previous two. Personally for me the best release from any of these three brands in the last 20 years was Dior Homme Sport 2008, a masterpiece in my opinion, or something very close to it!
Well at least you are being honoust. I got an sample. I was intrested in the H 24 as i noticed that some reviewers did not like as much while others hyped it. Blue de Chanel Edp 10 times better. Even Escentric 01 is way better. H 24 missed opportunity.
I think they're going to do what a lot of brands are starting to do. That is, the original release is a base DNA. THE EDPs and the Parfum will add the depth. The other flankers like an eau frachie or a noir or absolute will twist the DNA for added interest
Not crazy about it, modern fougere. I dislike bitter green frags, reminds me of Cartier line or even that eau de Hermes orange verte lines but then again it is Hermes.
They are not trying to copy what Dior or Chanel Did around aroma-chemicals; they are rather trying to copy what they themsleves did with Terre d'Hermes which was -maybe- the biggest and first success around aroma-c, beacause Terre was full of ISO E SUPER back then ;)
I get a cucumber vide smell from it and it doesn’t really go with my taste. Yes, I own a bottle but I think I’ll have a pretty full bottle for some time.
The only one I can compare it to is Dior Homme 2020 and I am not a hater of Dior or a snobe, I only wear designer, I love Sauvage, but H24 is waaaaaay more refined and classier that DH2020. DH2020 TO ME is trash, I'm sorry, smells like lemony light vetiver, not worth the money AT ALL. H24 smells a lot more special.
For hot locations, I like it. Its smooth, right amount of projection and longevity. Happy , elegant scent. Green mangoish green with elegance, some similarity with sur de ne lil . Dailywear type of scent , its simple imho.
Thankfully Hermes do a fragrance called Equipage Geranium which is green, gorgeous, lasts much better and got a lot more character. H24 felt actually very reminiscent of many 90s fragrances - especially from the long mid. Yeah, a bit dull, tbh. And when you have a lot of great fragrances, this won't get worn. (BTW, I was wearing the original Chanel Allure Homme when I tested this and it appeared just worlds beyond H24 in depth, evolution and character. No comparison.)
well you were right... simply you didn't get it :) this is a completely different from others essence, moreover i really dont feel what mainstream say about his notes... iron, wood, what? this is very fresh and acquatic and long-lasting clean and aromatic essence instead.
Thank you. I love LOVE Terre De Hermes. H24 let me down. I has great expectations and felt let down. It's nice. But, TDH isn't just nice. It's amazing. H24 is meh.
interesting take. still i think if it gets the same status as a BDC or Sauvage most people will be happy about it. what you describe is the curse of being an innovator. i disagree with your take getting a positive hype because it is coming from hermes. i saw some videos where people blind sniffing and liking it. who care which company is releasing a new fragrance - it is the juice that counts. also the target group and sales are not relevant. of course respect your opinion.
Flankers ... that’s what’s all about . Next ones will be for sure :H24 Pure Parfum , H24 Eau Intense Vetiver, H24 Eau Très Fraîche , just like Terre D’Hermès 🤦
You cannot satisfy kids and mature men the same time man. That's crazy and that's not what perfumery is all about. But this one yeah, just an ok fragrance. Nothing special really. Definitely not the next best thing from the house. It reminds me a bit of Guerlain pour homme edp(mojito), but fresher and lighter. 6/10
I love it! I have worn it for over a month and I get so many compliments. I love how it evolves on my skin and with my chemistry. I’m on my second bottle ⭐️

Opening: cold, wet, green Bananas. Drydown: cold Iron and fresh Laundry
I thought it’s only
Me that can smell the bananaish note of it. LOL lady at nordstrom laughed when i said that. Lol
Great honest review.
I got some samples of this. The opening is very impressive but the Sage was too prominent in the drydown
Thanks for your honest opinion.....I can’t disagree ...
