Possibly the most underrated voice of the last 50 years. I think it will take some time for Shicoff to be appreciated. Certainly he stands head and shoulders above any tenor singing on the operatic stage today. Singing in the tradition of Corelli and DiStefano, his technique is near perfect.

After having heard Shicoff's La Juive performance in the late '90s I knew I needed to go back and listen to more of his voice. Wow! I'm glad I did.
