While I have had an OG of this album in my collection for many years, I had not heard it recently until the new Impex announcement. This is a fantastic album. Love the rendition of "Autumn Leaves"
Great album, although the 45 RPM version is great, I hope I can get a OG version for comparison.
I do not play any instruments although I wish I would have learned a instrument at a young age 😊

Thank you for this new revew, Kenny: I really appreciate your honesty and transparence. Sadly, I can't afford that amount of money for an album, even being it an audiophile vinyl record. There's an extra money to spend for shipping to my country, and that makes business almost impossible for me.
I wish that there was a system in place so international vinyl buyers do not have to pay a premium for shipping.
I bought a 1958 mono pressing of this at a record store for $4. VG+ condition. It sounds great. I don't think OG pressings are hard to find, and are priced very reasonably.
I'm hoping to find copy eventually, I have several Duke Ellington records but not that one.
Honestly is a quality you provide to your audience- bravo. Thx for being upfront in your evaluation of the various recordings.

Kenny, no explanation needed. You do great, honest and your opinion vids.......the white shirt master! I appreciate your good vids......even with the smart glasses in some of your review. My one request would be to see some of your vinyl recommendations spin on your nice turntable and speakers and see how it all works and sounds. Love to see other collectors set up and spin the vinyl. Keep up the great work!

I have the 2012 33RPM (not numbered) version of this record by Impex, which was cut by Kevin Gray. It sounds great. It doesn't have the bonus mono songs. I have to admit I am tempted about getting this 45RPM version, but I am fighting the urge.
Kevin Gray is the man and Impex has high standards...I'm sure that 33 RPM sounds great.
I'm going to have to get a copy of this but from a lossless FLAC high res version I acquired it sounds great. I will have to listen more at night though because I feel like jazz sounds better at night to me

There is also a 33 rpm audiophile version of this record from Impex that I enjoy.
Good record music is good.. I have the old one.

The Impex version absolutely kills the original Columbia issue. I have several vinyl version of this LP and the Impex betters every one of them (the Impex I own is the 33 1/3 version. I try not to buy the 45 versions anymore, just because getting up every few minutes to change sides got to be a drag).
hey Kenny. for some reason, this vid, sonds like You are speaking thru a fase shifter. i'm listening, thu my mixing board, (Beringer 269). i comp'd you to a couple other vids, and yours is the only vid that this is occurring. i'm digging it nonethe less. (wheni use fase on my own origin-iLL$, i do it with one of my reel 2 reels/old $-cool). Cheers man i love your reviews, biggliest time).
You are the only viewer that mentioned that issue. All my videos are recorded with no alterations in sound....thank you very much for watching my videos, I sincerely appreciate it.

I discovered what the issue was. it turned out that my wi fi, was picking up my neighbours blue tooth/wifi, was being piced up thru my freeking laptop, which i was being bluetoothed through my mixing desk. i rewatched your vid, via analougue/rca inputs, and that solved the prob. Kenny, i have Sir Dukes original copy of Indigo, which belonged to my gandfather, who was from Montreal. in high school, i played it to death, learning and transcribing all of the instrumental parts/arrangements. as a Bari player, i always dug Harry Carney's playing. as a Detroiter, it's Pepper Adams for me. have to investigate your vids, to see if you have vided Pepper Adams. i just completed a new jazz comp, entitled; " Art Pepper Adams" it incorporates alto and bari saxes with upright, guitar, drums and a Monk based piano arrangement, PS, are you also a musician? Cheers to you for what you do.
