  • Theodore Postol is Professor of Science, Technology and National Security Policy in the Program in Science, Technology, and Society at MIT. He did his undergraduate work in physics and his graduate work in nuclear engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. After receiving his Ph.D., Dr. Postol joined the staff of Argonne National Laboratory, where he studied the microscopic dynamics and structure of liquids and disordered solids using neutron, x-ray and light scattering, along with computer molecular dynamics techniques. Subsequently he went to the Congressional Office of Technology Assessment to study methods of basing the MX Missile, and later worked as a scientific adviser to the Chief of Naval Operations. After leaving the Pentagon, Dr. Postol helped to build a program at Stanford University to train mid-career scientists to study developments in weapons technology of relevance to defense and arms control policy. In 1990 Dr. Postol was awarded the Leo Szilard Prize from the American Physical Society. In 1995 he received the Hilliard Roderick Prize from the American Association for the Advancement of Science and in 2001 he received the Norbert Wiener Award from Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility for uncovering numerous and important false claims about missile defenses.

There are video from surveillance cameras on the Crimean beach as it was hit that Sunday afternoon. They shows bomlets being evenly distributed in their intended pattern. The ones that hit the water all made identical water plumes. That is not broken up debris of random sizes. That ATACMS worked as intended.

Another critical piece. The Russians would be able to track the likely target of the missile. If it was targeted for Sevastopol ... the critical piece becomes who did the programming of the missile ? Mr. Postol argues that it missed in terms of altitude, not direction. Cluster munition in an environment of buildings, cars and other obstacles would likely have limited effect.

As a non American looking in from the outside, why not just admit that it doesn’t matter which person is standing in as president they are not really in control …. >>>I guess it was the 12th or 13th time to Kiev, and I was supposed to announce that there was another billion-dollar loan guarantee. I got a commitment from Poroshenko and from Yatsenyuk that they would take action against a state prosecutor, and they didn’t.
“So as they were walking out to the press conference, I said, nah, we aren’t going to give you the billion dollars. They said you have no authority, you are not the President. I said call him. I’m telling you, you are not getting the billion dollars.
“You are not getting the billion; I am leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you are not getting the money.
“Well, son of a bitch, he got fired.>If you put aside the immense human suffering and look at Ukraine’s war through the cold lens of international power politics, a clear picture emerges: the West is having a good war against Russia.
All NATO has to do is send Kyiv munitions, equipment and money, which, as any general knows, is the c h e a p e s t way to wage war.

The lives are being given by the Ukrainians. They’re defending their nation but also, inadvertently, helping decide the Cold War.
For 70 years, NATO deterred a Moscow attack westwards. The Russians eventually invaded, last February, what they assumed would be a conquerable target on their south-western border.

I was listening until he said Trump was a threat to democracy. Thats such a ridiculous, preposterous and BASELESS thing to say I cant take this man seriously afterwards.
Trump had 4 YEARS as president. He left the presidency. The hyperbolic Karens screeching "Trumps a threat to democracy" literally said the same exact thing in 2016. The only ones Ive seen thats an actual threat to democracy are the ones saying that about Trump.

Actually, what good did Trump achieve during his 4 years as president?

It is obvious Trump is a complete egomaniac narcissist openly corrupt liar, and the unilateral withdrawal by Trump from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty makes him a clear danger to world peace, and a traitor to his European and Asian allies. He might have legitimate points with his conflict with the equally corrupt US government, but the idea that the guy can be some kind of ethical hero and savior of the American people and its democracy is fanciful and delusional.

Postol believes that the ATACMS missiles were targeted at Sebastopol city not the naval base based on missile flight path. plus the use of cluster munitions, which would be ineffective against ships or shipyard. 22:40

Everyone talking about how terrible America is needs to understand that we as a nation are just finding out the depth of our political corruption. Prior to 2001 , the internet barely existed. We now know much more. Give us time and we will fix it. We realize We now cannot use the soap box or the ballot box. The only box left is the cartridge box. I pray it does not come to this but it seems the citizens Will be forced.
