"We finally learn why Scrooge hates Santa."...That's what i like most about this episode, it finally answers a question we've all been asking since the first Christmas special!!
While I am sort of disappointed that the triplets didn't get much focus in this episode, I always liked seeing episodes where it was just Webby and Scrooge bonding. Even all the way back in Season 1 during the Agent 22 episode, they really do have this unique bond with each other.
Scrooge looks at gifts as being practical. It isn't just his issue of getting something for nothing, but also things people need are the more important gift. To him, the coal wasn't an insult or a naughty list gift, but a practical gift people needed.
I'm a lot like Webby, when it comes to Christmas gifts. Most people want cliche stuff like dolls, gadgets or sports cars for Christmas. ME...I ask for "unconventional" stuff like DVDs, books and...maybe ONE medieval weapon
Aw I thought when you got to Scrooge being revealed that he was delivering coal with his devilish grin that you would play the line from that Wander Over Yonder song “I’m the Bad Guy”. Still it’s amazing that you got so far with Ducktales and we’re nearing the end
After learning the truth as to why Scrooge hates Santa; I was less surprised and more disappointed in myself for not considering that this is Scrooge McDuck (Greatest Adventurer of all time, but also my first introduction to the Christmas Carol story in general [The show even referenced it last Season]) that we were talking about.
Why is it so difficult for rich people to understand that there are FAR more important things in this universe than money? For me, the feeling of a warm heart gives me greater joy than being the richest being in the world
@jf k I'm aware of that...but for most of my life; I've seen rich people be all about business, care far too much about money and think other career choices (like artistic pursuits or being an entertainer) are nothing but a waste of time
Just like how America wanted to copyright and make a profit off of Mexico's Day of the Dead. Either way, making profits during the holidays is a scummy way to live
It’s kinda funny when this kind of thing happens. It happened in Star vs the Forces of Evil too. We are told about this person from a long time ago and how they were bad people. They did bad things and the person telling everyone this tries to push people to despise and distrust this person too. Let’s admit it, we all expected Eclipsa to be this evil queen and we expected Santa to be a bit of a jerk somehow based on everything we learned about them. But once we get the whole actual story about what really happened, we realize what we were told wasnt true. It was all twisted up to paint these people in certain light to make them seem like the bad guy.
I actually assumed Santa's betrayal was a lot more serious like he and were Scrooge were friends and went on adventures together but Santa like felt Scrooge in a deadly trap or something. And when Scrooge tries to tell the truth about what happened, no one believes him because it's Santa, the ultimate good guy. When in reality, he's an evil mastermind and Scrooge's most hated enemy. But this is a cute Christmas episode/special the way it is.
I think I remember reading that the original Santa/Christmas conversation was only added in the Neverest episode in the first season because Disney XD told them they wanted to use it as their basically required winter/Christmas episode because "snow=winter"
This is the problem when a company doesn't understand that their tv network is obsolete, they cancel popular shows that they view are not making money because they are on TV and the demographic that watches the show doesn't use cable networks anymore. These are episodes that would drawn out over two more seasons but they cram it all into one final season and everything will see rushed and you feel like it isn't working because the pace is too slow and too fast at the same time.
Fun Fact: Santa is voiced by Hugh Bonneville, known by Amphibia fans as the voice of Wigbert Ribbiton (Wally's father) and Downton Abbey fans as Lord Robert Crawley, the Earl of Grantham
8:28 Allow me to borrow the main chorus from this Bob's Burgers song. (th-cam.com/video/whsxANuOyZs/w-d-xo.html) It's all Scrooge's fault Your gifts are nothing but coal, It's all Scrooge's fault; He's acted like a butt hole.
Honestly "Feliz Navidiamond" is the best name to ever come out of this show
I would like to report this statement is true
Yes

That's because this is on purpose and very relevant to the final episode
The most violent Christmas special owlson would not approve
“Falalalala-lalala LIAR!!!” Love that line!
Looks like the only enemy Santa has left is The Grinch

Yeah, he was looking at it from a business venture. Santa was looking to bring cheer.
@@watertommyz Yet another reason why, to me, business people are scum
@jf k Kind of like Eugene Krabs
10:05- 10:24 i was dying of laughter OMG Zamber🤣💀
“What a fucking loser...” just the WAY you said it
Lol thank youuuu! I was holding back a laugh the whole time because I find myself wayyyy too funny X D
I DIED I THOUGHT SHE WAS GONNA SAY "GAYYY" OR SOMETHING AND I WAS SO TAKEN BACK 😂😂😂
Can someone make a count of how many "Louie" and "Webby" Zamber does? There are probably some Launchpads, Dewies, and Scrooges in there too.
We're not paying attention to that Webby impression. That was goddamn good
Santa Claus giving children (in this case Webby) weapons is apparently not a Narnia-exclusive thing.
I'm a lot like Webby, when it comes to Christmas gifts.

The little pig girl is the cutest thing that ever came out of DuckTales

Ah, the Santa hate is finally revealed. Because Scrooge wanted to make a profit off of Christmas.
Just like how America wanted to copyright and make a profit off of Mexico's Day of the Dead.

I felt so sorry for that gift for doofus drake

7:06 So, how come Scrooge and the reindeer weren't effected by the Diamond?
That was a good Webby impression. :D
Next week, Gandra Dee returns! But, whose side is she really on?
The only cannon Weblena kiss :(
Frosty the snowman was a violent, twisted soul with cold, hard fangs, a dagger nose and two eyes made out of coal.
Our first look at the Sabrewing house!

Well now you know the true dark and harsh meaning of Christmas!
1:52 Has anyone seen Paget Brewster do any grown-up roles?
She played Frankie in Community
Fun Fact: Santa is voiced by Hugh Bonneville, known by Amphibia fans as the voice of Wigbert Ribbiton (Wally's father) and Downton Abbey fans as Lord Robert Crawley, the Earl of Grantham
That was a great impression
Can you react to this Duckburg life when you finish watching ducktales. There’s only 7 episodes and the longest one is of 20 minutes.
8:23 You devious drake of deception!

It's all Scrooge's fault
Your gifts are nothing but coal,
It's all Scrooge's fault;
He's acted like a butt hole.
