Sigh...classic rock music is determined to keep me broke for the rest of the year😢
I think a lot of rock fans would be surprised how many albums they have with John Wetton playing on them! Red by King Crimson is my personal favourite! He was a great loss! I may pick this set up!!
also check out his incredible bass playing on Asbury Park from Crimson's USA album.....
he wasn't known as Wilton Carpet for nothing !
@@grantross2609 Yes I have that album you are quite right!
Amazing musician who never got the recognition he deserved. Saw him with Family and , if he had never done anything else, Starless would be the highlight of any life.
Best line up of the mighty Crim was Cross, Fripp, Bruford and the monumental Bass playing of John Wetton, what a monster sound RIP JOHN ❤
Sorry AND the great Jamie Muir
One unusual credit for John. He played bass on Larry Norman's"Only Visiting This Planet". The only Christian Rock album ever to be inducted into the Library of Congress National Recording Registry!
I gather this has been done by the same company which did the Keith Emerson Variations box set. Looking at the booklet here it is much better quality and seems to have a lot of info on each album. This is in contrast to Keith's box set. The track listing on most of the CD's is either wrong and or incomplete. I'm glad to have Keith's box set, if only they let a serious Keith/ELP fan peruse the track listings section before print. Why oh why!
Your painting behind you is hauntingly beautiful. 🗽🖖👍☕
My wife is the artist
@@classicalbum Very nice.
I like that painting a lot, too!
Are any of these cd's remastered because that would be key in purchasing since I already have them on their own?
Fully remastered by Maor Appelbaum.
Hi Barry,
For me he s a favorite of mine. Love his work in Asia, KC, UK. Love his work with Steve Hackett. Strangely never indulged in his solo career. Here is my chance. His voice and Greg Lake's have got me through some good and some tougher times. His voice always lifts my spirit. Thank you. It is preordered.
Thanks for the preview! Got mine on pre-order.
Just an FYI, three songs on the final disc, Rarities Vol 2, "Sex, Power and Money", "Back in Your Lovin' Arms" and "I Can't Tell You Why" were co-written by my former roommate, Harry Perzigian, who sadly hasn't been around for the past ten years or so - but I'm sure he would've been on cloud nine if he knew these songs finally got a chance to be heard. Unfortunately, Harry went through life with the stigma of being famous for all the wrong reasons, as he had to serve jail time on a drug furnishing charge in the death of Hugh O'Connor, the son of Carroll O'Connor due to to his cocaine addiction. The backlash from this ordeal resulted in the loss of income and his music publishing contract with Warner Bros terminated (Harry wrote for other artists such as Quiet Riot, Fiona Apple, Vixen, and Bobby Kimball) and lifelong abuse from numerous death threats and random prank calls. Tragically Harry took his own life on April 29, 2014.

Lovely looking box set. Might be tempted.
I plan on buying this box that I am familiar with Asia I love their music and king crimson I’m a huge fan of John Wetten‘s work I’ve never heard of solar work before but I’m looking forward to picking this box set up. John Wetten had a great voice with songs like heat of the moment don’t cry I will never leave you great songs.
I have most of this stuff already. These sets log all the albums together nicely with a few extra nuggets tossed in. As for John and his solo output…I fear I find much of it spotty. Great stuff sprinkled, but he was much more of a powerhouse in a band. Just my two pennies, but looks well put together. You doing the Greg Lake one as well??
saw john with asia at saratoga ny spac what a show, great sound with carl, steve, geoff john a great bassist and vocal well missed john god bless you!!!
Love the unboxings. Thank you
John Wetton is an all time favourite of mine.
My fave singer. Barry I don’t think I heard you mention whether the material contained on this box set has been remixed or remastered in any capacity?
Remastered, not remixed
@@classicalbum Excellent 👏👏
I will BUY THIS ONE
Surprised Sinister doesn't feature in this set apart from the booklet, a very solid album, better than Rock Of Faith but it is all about opinion. Don't think I will bother as I already have the individual CDs apart from the rarities. Looks a nice set though.
Sinister IS included in this boxset, and all CDs are remastered with bonus material. Plus the two rarities CDs.
Ah didn't show on the video - that makes more sense.@@lisawetton5539
It's also known as "welcome to heaven" one is Japanese title, don't know which or why?
The welcome
to heaven must be the Japanese title as it was Sinister here in UK@@dougreed2257
Sinister and Welcome to Heaven are the same album. It was renamed for some reason in certain markets.
I pre-ordered this set the moment it became available.
Another great box set.
All well and very good, but when are you going to talk about all the paintings I see in this room?
Lovely paintings, but my wife is the artist
I stand corrected. When is your wife going to talk about all the paintings I see in this room?@@classicalbum
I've asked twice, but got no reply.
Love your unboxing posts.
Already placed my order!
Great unboxing thanks great video
Thanks for watching!
Thanks!
John who??
Wetton
Thanks for the unboxing! I don't know his solo work AT ALL. But I am a fan. My John Wetton faves: Bandstand by Family, Asia's first, UK's first, and the magnificent King Crimson trilogy.
