    Cool as I have been watching TH-cam videos on the full size ones after the design error on the original was corrected. There is a very nice looking side by side two seater composite available and the single seat microlight version looks and flies really well. I cant recall what the design “fix” but you should be able to Google that info. Thanks. Laurie. NZ. 😊

    Great model John, I've thought about building a Flying Flea many times, but never managed it. I like your method of getting a reasonable CG location with the extended nose weight.

      Thank you, it was a laser cut kit so I didn’t want to mess around lengthening the fuselage. Putting a weight out front seemed like a good solution.

    Mr Henri MIGNET would have much appreciated this model .
    Have you read his book?
    At the begining of the Pou du Ciel,several crashes occured,and the plane was grounded by Administration.
    So the Pou was sent to the French French Flight Test Center for evaluation,and investigations proved that design was safe for flying,but the instructions of designer Mr MIGNET were not correctly applied by some amateur builders.
    Anyhow,sincere congrats and cheers for your beautiful model.

    Well done John! This Aircraft ( le Pou du ciel) was designed in the 1950's by Jean Lafarge a former French inventor. It never stalls like any conventional airplane so it was considered the safest of its type.Warning : @lbninja0 has brought light on my mistatake : "Sorry but le.pou du ciel is born by Henri Mignet in 1932 in France. You can find plan in his book “Le sport de l’air” published in 1934. The book is still available by the way".

    Hi john, that is wonderful, it looks like you modified and standard flea, are you aware there was a glider flea? it has a slightly longer nose that would mean you might not need the cg pole out front, I can email you the articles on the real Pou planuer if you don't have them already.

    • @SlopeRCGliders
      @SlopeRCGliders  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hi there Joe. The original kit had a motor mounted out above the nose. The fuselage is so short it was impossible to get enough weight inside to balance it. I simply mounted some lead weight on a pole out the front of the nose.
