I don't think "equality" has anything to do with this. Women have been riding motorcycles since day one of some of the first ones ever to roll off the assembly lines. In fact, Janet Davidson was the first woman to ride a Harley. And then she was followed by a woman named Betsy stringfield who rode them both for pleasure and for competition. After that came many other pioneering women who rode motorcycles cross country, while others that were serving in the military used them for transporting goods from one base camp to the next. I would say that all stands to reason for the fact that anybody with working limbs and functioning brain can operate a clutch to shift gears and balance on two wheels. I'm a woman that's been at it for 18 years now, and could practically do it in my sleep at this point.
