I have a question. It doesn’t bother me going for a larger roaster, but I was wondering, when a roaster has a certain capacity, is it okay to roast less than the specified amount the roaster is titled? For example a 3kg roaster. Can I only roast one or two kg and have a safe result, or does it cook faster? I ’m still learning about these machines and was wondering if there were any repercussions to having a much larger machine. Last thing I want to do is burn/waste the beans, but I’d also like to future proof my business. Thank you very much!
Hello Tusky, I have a Bideli 3 kg roaster and my roast size is 5lbs. I have a really good, consistent roast with this. I have not tried 1 or 2 lb in it though. I have a Cafe Gene that is a 300g roaster for my sample roasts.
Another great video Peter. We are already looking to expand our capacity.
