      Nice! When I looked at the 60 gallon units at my local Harbor Freight, pump was Chinese and looked really cheap. Maybe they step their game up since then. It was also an aluminum pump which I really wanted a cast iron. Is yours aluminum or cast-iron?

    Im running a repowered 220VAC Quincy single stage its old, I found it on garbage day in Florida it had a gasser Briggs on it, crazy loud and shes leaking a bit. I drug it up from Florida to my Ozark retreat I saved all the controls but it didnt have an air intake box on it when i picked it. Thats my goal tommorow to tighten it up change the oil sort the air filter out. Good idea double stack and hanging the old red. No one here in the Ozarks throws stuff out like in FL.

    Thumbs up 👍 thank you for your walkthrough on this. Coming off your tank I would have a metal pipe running 10’ with a dropped pipe to collect water from the air as it cools then into a pressure regulator and have a split pipe going to you tools with a oiler, then the other line to a blow gun, or a paint sprayer. Basically anything you don’t want oil to get on. Good thinking on keeping the ( big red) compressor 😊

    I love how quiet it is. I have a 60 gallon 5 horsepower engine and that thing is super loud. I've had that thing for 10 years or more and it's just as loud. The only reason I put up with it is for the fact on what I paid for it. There was a listing on craigslist that someone bought it just to use for a project and once it gone quickly. So when I saw it I was the very first person to respond. when I saw it I honestly did not believe it was ever used. They were using a 60 gallon 5 horse compressor to run a single line quarter inch to a nail gun. They were framing the new addition to their house and then the garage.
    I was thinking about buying a new compressor but after seeing this video I can save a ton of money by just buying the parts. There's nothing wrong with the parts on the compressor right now I could sell them to make up the cost for the new pieces.
    I was looking for some updates but I did not see anything. So how is it going it is still working out the way you hope?

    • @NoNonsenseKnowHow

    It has 3 feet so no matter where you set it up it won't wobble if the floor is uneven. Good video, thanks for the information because I'm thinking about getting one. Has anything changed since you installed it?

    • @NoNonsenseKnowHow
      @NoNonsenseKnowHow  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I didn't think about that. Yeah I suppose three feet will reduce the wobble on uneven floors like you said. She is still running like a champ. No regrets. Only thing I've done is turn the pressure regulator down so it shuts off around 150 psi instead of 175. Since I don't really need that high of pressure. But it's still really nice to have the option in case I have a stubborn bolt to get off one day and I need to abuse my impact gun. Even though you're not supposed to run that high of pressure on air tools, it makes a world of difference when you're in a jam.

      I wouldn't be alarmed about one psi a day. Mine leaks down. Plus I have my automatic drain valve on all the time so I think that goes off every like 20 minutes for two second interval. if you want to try to find a leak, you could spray silky water all around the connections
