Superb playing of this masterwork: the first variation is played passionately; the second is rhythmically outstanding (I never heard it played so well, in fact); the third, with the viola in the forefront, has terrific playing by the violist Ori Kam; the fourth, in D major, is luminous; and the return of the main theme, "più mosso", is urgent, fervid, perfect. BRAVI!
this is really good ..the "primarius" leads excellent..........it,s entertaining to listen them ... .they all play good .......I only wish the violist had more temperament and energy like cellist and the primarius have .............................they are fun to watch when they play too it,s very appealing ......P.S ( special it,s fun to watch cellist !! and "primarius" )
Far and away the best version I could find of this despite the coughs and rattles of a live performance.
Thank you very much
The best! Marvelous!
