So often child abusers come from generation to generation. Could be possibly have been groomed, for example NO Ultra mind control ,where they teach children to compartmentalize events. For example they can be put through horrific trauma one minute and then switch to an alternative personality in a second. The reason I question is that he wrote some incredibly beautiful lyrics and yet had this dark side to him. A lot of these stars are groomed from a young age. I feel there is more to his story.
