American women don't put up with being aggressively pushed away and they get angry...and most American men know that. Most of those guys are very young and won't turn down potential sex for a video game. Trust me...this was pretty realistic in America.
Most people in general would value interaction with a person they love higher than winning or losing a game. Especially if the game is pausable, then there is no excuse not to stop playing and have a sweet hug or talk about something and then go back to the game. A game will always be there, a person will not.

Yeah, this kind of thing is probably okay as long as she doesn't take the controller out of his hand or turn the power off. Just give the guy a chance to hit pause!

I actually do gaming for work and although I get how serious gamers can be, you can't ever be angry at your partner who isn't a gamer for not understanding. Even so, unless I am doing something like broadcasting or recording for work - and therefore it is basically interrupting me at my job, which is disrespectful and your partner should understand that - I would always be okay with pausing what I am doing to give my partner some attention.... it's just a game at that point. PS. All men will stop playing for THIS kind of disruption.

I do this all the time to my husband when he’s working from home (he’s a software developer). He loves it though and squishes me as hard as he can into his chest, it’s awesome. Even when he’s playing something on the Nintendo or PS3 he’s happy to get that type of distractions from me. P.S. If sex is on the table (or anywhere near it), I think most guys would be happy to forget the game 😂
