Yeah, Deathclaws would be a fun one! Only issue with them is that their "variants" (alpha, matriarch, albino etc.) all look and behave basically the same; just more damage and HP. That's why mirelurks are so interesting, because they have many different forms.
@@NazirNorth That is totally understandable there. Would also be interesting to see how you do Super Mutants as well see if you can them more fantasy whilst sticking to its core.
@@samuelbastable2002 A great suggestion. A few variants as well, including the hounds and the behemouth, and maybe an intelligent variant too (like Fawkes).
Hi there! I like your content, but had a question about your Mirelurks - why did you choose Large for the basic and hunter types? I just don't see each one of them taking up a 10'x10' grid, IMHO. Either way, love the stats. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! Yeah, I could see the case for Medium, as they aren't close to 10 feet tall. I was mainly basing it off their size compared to the character model in Fallout. They are at least twice as wide / long as the player, which made me lean more towards Large. I can also imagine them weighing more than 4 times a human weighs, so it seemed to make sense. Also, comparing it to some other Large D&D monsters, like the Umber Hulk, it sort of fits.
Don't forget the beautiful, Blue Nuka Lurks. Could be a different kind of poison or maybe psychic damage. Have you considered some of the Monsters from Diablo 3?
I considered the nukalurks. Although they look very cool, sadly their only real different in Fallout is that they have more HP and are a bit stronger. Could always make something up for them though! I've not actually played Diablo 3 much, although I do still have it somewhere on disc. Any specific monsters from that you'd recommend taking a look at?
@@NazirNorth But they are Blue! Really though, what if you nerfed them with a different power. They players would come along and say ho hum, then Surprise!
@@Marcus-ki1en Yeah that could work. For some reason I'm getting the urge to give them some teleportation or phase shifting abilities like the phase spider!
Oh this is a series I would love to see more of! Deathclaws should totally be the next video, can see them being kinda Draconic in that retrospect.

@@NazirNorth Not just that but you also have super mutant suiciders which would be interesting to see on a dnd battlefield as well.
@@samuelbastable2002 Ha, yeah! Forgot about those ones.
