Hand of God powerband is probably the best way to describe the Panigale R's thrust. Just gobs of power everywhere. Wish I'd had my camera on me when I got to test ride a friend's.
I wish I could've seen the smile on your face after that ride! I'm glad Oidirk got to hear what that monster sounds like from behind. Maybe he understands mine and ChiefJay's pain riding up to the meetup spot behind him. I'm amazed that three Yamahas survived the trailer ride with that beast. haha!
Duval County! Jacksonville is low key one of the best cities to live in Amercia if you are any kind of of motoring enthusiast. Beautiful bridges, long country rides, stop light to stop light racing if thats what you want. You just need to know when to avoid 295,I10, and 95
I would love to see a s1krr review or comparison panigale vs s1k vs possible r1 just what its like riding around on each. If your friend would allow of course
bro just to let you know. The Ducati has a quick shifter for up and down so you don't have use the clutch! ahehehe.. good shit though! I just picked up my panigale R and made my base panigale with Ohlins suspension a dedicated track bike. it is a beast on the track man.
Amazing bike, all that power needs all that electronic. Ducati are just awesome looking and absolutely sublime to ride! Great vid but I wish you had more corners where you live because that beast minces them!
And I think my vintage 999R is fast, but I can imagine how fast the 1199 and 1299 are. I have the full Leo Vince Ti exhaust, love the sound ever since I heard the owner of Motowheel's 999R back in 05 coming up a mountain road. I said one day I'll get that exhaust and got lucky in 09 when I got the last one from the Leo Vince distributor on the west coast. Heard good things about the Akro too. Too bad you guys live in Florida and other flat lands and can't take those bikes up where they shine, mountain roads. There is a road out here in the high Sierra called Wentworth Springs Rd and rumor has it the engineer who designed it was a motorcycle enthusiast, no doubt about it, the best and most smoothest twisty I've ever been on, pure heaven. However, my life with sport bikes and many Ducatis over the years will be ending in a month or two when I put my bike up for sale and hang up the keys for good. I'll hang on to my Road King for a while longer, just for the long haul rides like Death Valley in November, but that will going on the block as well. Good luck and keep the rubber side down.
I don't know what to do. I want both of these bikes but can only get one for now. I don't know which one to choose bmw or ducati. Is ducati reliable? Bmw will do a 3 year warranty but ducati will do just 1 year. What would you suggest.
Oh, and the blips are missing the clutch out. Revving for next to no reason the way you are currently doing it. You will know when its done properly, as its almost sexual. I did just read about the reversed shift pattern to what you're used to, so will let you off a bit, haha.
Mark Phinyawat Diavel is most likely Ducati's slowest bike. If not the slowest, one of them. (Not to say it's slow, but relative) and the 1299 panigale R is the fastest bike they've made for the street to date. The panigale is miles faster than the diavel in accelerating, horsepower, torque, and cornering. They made the diavel to have a bike with forward controls similar to Harley's Vrod that became so popular. If you want to sit more upright, try out a Monster. If you want forward controls, the diavel, and if you want one of the fastest machines on the road, the panigale
jus seen another vlog the guy didn't like it said it was too hot which took away from the positive points of the bike n it was slow but I can tell u like it lol
there's no real comparison from this bike to his R1 this place seems like a whole nother beast on its own I give it a couple of months or a year and downy will have one of these in his garage
Agreed with trading in bikes with low miles highest I ever had on one bike was 8000 and that was a 300. Had 4 bikes last year putting 1 to 3k on each. Ready to trade again.
-CEME - highest miles I ever had on a bike was 56,000 something. I didn't get it new, got it with 12,000. I have a friend who rides every day, bought a Harley new in 2002 and now it has 290,000 miles on it. My Ducati has 13,000 miles on it. What's so wrong with bikes that you have to trade so often?
How did you manage to capture the sound of that beast so accurately? In most yt videos V-twins sound like shit, this video is one of the rare ones where it sounds quite close to its real life awesomeness.
You can do it with your bike too. You can downshift any bike without the clutch. Put your foot on the shifter, roll off the throttle and it'll downshift w/of the clutch.
Excellent video! I wish I still had that much fun riding my Panigale R. Lol.
Yea you're used to the speed now =)
That things a monster !
This mushroom tip is a monster cheeah 👌
actually it's a panigale, not a monster
+Arrow Productions i saw what you did there ahahah
so are you ;)
baker ur here my G!!!
Only straight streets... Thx God I live in Italy. Have a bike with these streets would be a nightmare!
Just an FYI... the DUC is set up in Standard shift, and i'm used to GP Shift...thus my horrible looking shift technique
Wow what an amazing bike
hehehe kinda figured ....how did it compare in size and acceleration tp your R1?
i was scared every time you accelerated quickly. The way it shifted and you jerked made it feel like you gonna eat it.
Here we go again with the antics of a first ride!!!! lol
damn bruh! you can ride! nice....
Hand of God powerband is probably the best way to describe the Panigale R's thrust. Just gobs of power everywhere. Wish I'd had my camera on me when I got to test ride a friend's.
Ahh that bike looks so good. I love when Ducati incorporates an unpainted metal finish on the tank. Loved that with the 848 EVO as well.
Oh man... The sounds that thing makes!
I wish I could've seen the smile on your face after that ride! I'm glad Oidirk got to hear what that monster sounds like from behind. Maybe he understands mine and ChiefJay's pain riding up to the meetup spot behind him. I'm amazed that three Yamahas survived the trailer ride with that beast. haha!
i got one 1199 tricolore.. and i love Ducati :-)
why is this video hidden ?
Duval County! Jacksonville is low key one of the best cities to live in Amercia if you are any kind of of motoring enthusiast. Beautiful bridges, long country rides, stop light to stop light racing if thats what you want. You just need to know when to avoid 295,I10, and 95
Need one of these in my life, the soul and sheer grunt of that huge twin! my goodness
What a lovely bike... And the sound is amazing... !
Not sure if anybody told you yet but for up shifting you don't have to let off the throttle, YOU CAN KEEP IT WIDE OPEN!!! nice video man!
I would love to see a s1krr review or comparison panigale vs s1k vs possible r1 just what its like riding around on each. If your friend would allow of course
Great video..cant wait to take out my 1299..just picked up a 2017 two weeks ago
Gotta love the sound and torque of that Ducati V Twin goodness.

When someone as experienced as Downshift is that impressed with the Duc, you know it's a fuckin amazing machine.
bro just to let you know. The Ducati has a quick shifter for up and down so you don't have use the clutch! ahehehe.. good shit though! I just picked up my panigale R and made my base panigale with Ohlins suspension a dedicated track bike. it is a beast on the track man.
I lost the mohawk on my helmet somewhere between 60-170 on my 1199s darkstealth. That fucking bike was ridiculous. I still miss her
honestly wish this vid was longer, haha and id like to have seen your reaction on that S1krr, if you rode it, lol
You are a wild man on that thing downy. I like it!
Amazing bike, all that power needs all that electronic. Ducati are just awesome looking and absolutely sublime to ride! Great vid but I wish you had more corners where you live because that beast minces them!
have you thought about doing an x diavel s and maybe compare it to yours?
Ducati's are an absolute piece of work.
I've never put that many miles on a bike???? ugh wtf good for you Oi lol #ineedabetterjob!!!

The sound of this bike in the video doesn't do it justice. I've sat on one and revved it and it frickin roars.
I don't know what to do. I want both of these bikes but can only get one for now. I don't know which one to choose bmw or ducati. Is ducati reliable? Bmw will do a 3 year warranty but ducati will do just 1 year. What would you suggest.
3:59 poor thing
Yea buddy love these bikes
so downy if you had to trade in one of your current bikes for a panagale witch would one
how does it compare to the s1000rr?
Thats in Jacksonville :)
so many people cruising in the left lane... Holy fuck
You have amazing riding skills
Trade it in before 6k miles?? I'm lucky if I can keep it under that for a summer.....Never had a bike with less than 25K...
Oh, and the blips are missing the clutch out. Revving for next to no reason the way you are currently doing it. You will know when its done properly, as its almost sexual. I did just read about the reversed shift pattern to what you're used to, so will let you off a bit, haha.
Hey I will be getting a instagram latter to see how you deal with the lettering on your tires
Hi man, can you tell us with which gear are you filming this awesome videos. The video is so smooth and crisp, no lag...thx for info.
that's a one sick bike, but i didn't get it how the gear shifting works?
tuck man!!! :P Glad you like it. The R is a stupid stupid amazing bike.
What u like best between. Diavel or panigale , it is faster than diavel?
Mark Phinyawat Diavel is most likely Ducati's slowest bike. If not the slowest, one of them. (Not to say it's slow, but relative) and the 1299 panigale R is the fastest bike they've made for the street to date. What are you guys using to record video and intercom audio?
If you have the chance try and ride a EBR Crazy fun
Great video! That sound is really sick. Awesome bike. Is on the Panigale R an Akrapovic fitted?
Hey downy do you want one now. Was that the 1199 or the 1299.
What camera do you use? What time of the year it is?
You'r video is like fresh air for me. Thanks!
anyone can tell me what is the camera that he use ?
Great amazing bike, but, aren't you worried about hearing loss with those pipes? Or do u wear plugs under the helmet all the time?
Hey bud can i ask how you like that Variant helmet on the highway? Does that visor catch wind and bother you at all?
on my bucket list
"Hates to go slow". Dude you ain't kidding. My 1299 Panigale is really touchy under 40mph.
Damn, that bike sounds so amazing!!!!
Downy, have you rode on his S1000RR at all?
Just once... But I'll probably still make a First time video with it

Holy fuck. You need one of these
Have you ridden that S1000RR yet?
Agreed with trading in bikes with low miles highest I ever had on one bike was 8000 and that was a 300. Had 4 bikes last year putting 1 to 3k on each. Ready to trade again.

wait so you dont need to use the clutch to downshift cause it does it automatically?
I think it's basically like a quick shifter
+Primitave that's pretty cool then
You can do it with your bike too. You can downshift any bike without the clutch. Put your foot on the shifter, roll off the throttle and it'll downshift w/of the clutch.
+D.J. Williams won't that fuck up the bike thoe?
No. My bike and clutch are fine. Just the same as "speed shifting" without using the clutch.
Watch for mini vans making right turns.
I don't have that problem ;)
was it wheelieing on its own most of the time?
Well Downy, thinking about selling your r1 for this puppy?
Gotta love the Ducatis
Full Termi's right ?
