Welcome to X-Plane, a couple quick tips: you can disconnect GPU and chocks using ground button on radio and you should always delete old Better Pushback push locations and set a new one each flight. The saved pushback doesn't always align with where you are at the gate when you load a new flight and you get that funky push.
Your pushback is setting wrong, from gate on your right side, that's why he pushed you a little strange :) For scenery configuration use Xorganizer, the best soft ever, no more hand editing of config. Best regards, Captain!
@@JulietS4 If someone wants to fly superb Airbusses there is only one choice, Microsoft Flight Simulator. There you get the brandnew photorealistic superb FlyByWire A380 project and several A320 etc. In X-Plane the current choice of Airbusses seems to be visually stuck in 2005 forever and don´t even come CLOSE to the accurate system and cockpit monitor representation of the Fenix and FBW. That even has fluctuations of the hydraulics fluid in the reservoirs simulated when flying through turbulent air. X-Plane has other planes that are absolute superior to everything else that was ever done in the sector of flight simulation, which is the HotStart Challenger (nothing comes even close to that, the inner workings of the turbines and anything else is engineer-worthy!) and the brandnew FlightFactor Boeing 777 Version 2 is not only the new Queen of the Sky but Goddess of the Sky. But if you want to have a superb photorealistic looking Airbus that visually has all the attention to details and also full accurate cockpit system representation ..... hmmmmmm...... there are none (yet.) in XP12. All simulators have their strenghts and weaknesses and that´s why all simulators should be used to get the best of the best of both worlds to fully enjoy a small carefully chosen selection of ultra-professional specific airplanes that really fullfills even the most demanding needs of any simmer and wannabe-engineer. :)
Lovely...great you are getting in to this. Btw there is a Preighter Conversion Mod if you want to do some European Cargo Flights with the 346. They have 8 converted 346 by now.
For the underpass issue in the EDDM scenery, there is OSM file inside the scenery folder with which you should manually generate a ortho title around the airport.
@@kaiserwilheIm just place the manually generated ortho tile above autoortho in the ini file, and that will show the manually made ortho title in xplane and fix the bridge problem
I have always enjoyed your videos. A few things: (1) I wish you continued success in your A330 training and type rating. (2) It’s great to see you in XP! While I fly both sims, XP is my main one, so I admit I’m a bit biased. (3) Depending on how deep you get into scenery, you may want to consider getting X-Organizer if you don’t have it already. So far there's some more exciting planes I want to try like the Challanger or the 747-200, but I'm not sure how many airports I want to get yet. Excellent video as usual, great job! Please consider putting the beta version number that you're using for every X-Plane video. X-plane is known for updating often. For instance, the "block like" cloud walls were supposed to be fixed in the latest beta (12.06b2).

Been using XP11 since 2017. Their plane libraries are very fine. A320 families by ToLiss, A350, 767, and 757 by FlightFactor, plus their Fenix-like A320-200 with CFM56-5A sharklet-less. They are also kind of done with Embraer E-Jets and Dash-8Q400. Better pushback totally owns GSXPro and its derivatives -> you might need to define it everytime you use it, but it is a rather quick process with pleasant result: the tug turn its steering wheels naturally, and work seamlessly with the Nose Landing Gear. For online flying - besides the visuals and the world, there is nothing with XP that is lacking. For offline flying, it has no working ATC, abruptly changing weather pattern, and AI solutions that is still largely very artificial. As a passionate pilot, I am sure you'll find nothing wrong with XP, and their wealthy payware add-on list of high-fidelity planes will keep you hooked until MSFS finally receive decent share of appropriately detailed airliners.
I absolutely would! It's really a great representation and worth every penny. I do hope they will eventually update the Cockpit textures, but even without that the A346 is an excellent simulation.

How is the weather radar implementation in X-Plane? I heard that it is actual 3D unlike MSFS' 2D implementation, but I could never get an answer as to if the tilt actually works or not. Also between P3D and XP, which do you think has the best WX implementation? Thanks.
It is not 3D yet but will be. I just asked the devs about. They want to fully open their weather-Api but need first to stabilise the way weather works. But t’s clearly planed.

I always assumed it was atleast 3D in X-Plane otherwise why would high fidelity aircraft devs use it when the same for MSFS refuse to because of this sim's 2D only representation. Ultimately I believe a WX that doesn't have tilt modelled is worthless even if it is 3D, but I see no way it could be modelled if it was not even 3D. I've always heard that the WX implementation in XP is miles ahead of MSFS but now I'm curious exactly what makes it superior. I'm no expert so I may have confused what you're saying, but if you or anyone else could explain further I'd appreciate it.

Concerning the radio callouts: it might have something to do with the outer and center main landing gear not touching down at the same time? Pascal (Aeronews Germany) once explained this very nicely in one of his streams, in reference to the landing rate plugin, maybe something similar is at play here? Hi, normally Radio Altimeter callouts should always be referenced to the height of the lowest landing gear over the ground, so it would surprise me if this would be the explanation.
No, half MSFS, half XP12. On the long run probably more MSFS than XP, right now I'm of course still excited for all the aircraft available in XP that I could never get in MSFS so naturally I'm spending a bit more time with XP right now than with MSFS but I'm sure that'll reduce when time passes by. I intend to keep MSFS as my "prime" simulator, but XP is very nice for my type rating due to the A340 and it's more accurate flight physics.

Bei zb VFR Platzrunden nutze ich normalerweise meinen Tobii Eye Tracker, auch wenn ich fast jets fliege. Aber für Airliner und "normales fliegen" finde ich die Maus angenehmer. Auch nutze ich gerne mal mein iPad nebenbei und gucke dann ständig da hin.
Even if they start doing it now it would still take some 2-3 years to complete. By that time MSFS is history and FS24 will be the big thing. Who knows what changes might be needed then.

It would be really nice, but keep in mind we got another high quality Airbus series coming to MSFS with the Flight Sim Labs Airbusses. Rumors are they have an A321 in beta at the moment.
I just think the xp12 is not a good investment right now as the MSFS2024 is coming next year. Edit: You can buy it if you want to train for a specific arcraft that is not in MSFS. Otherwise the only thing where XP wins is flight dynamics Everybody want's different thing from their sim and this is completly a matter of opinion which you prefer.
Not in general. But if you want to do some training on your realworld Airframe like Emi does, it probably makes sense since there is no good A330 or 340 available for MSFS.
Just because X-Plane 12 released doesn't mean it won't get graphics updates. Laminar Research announced they will bring more graphics updates and more radical approach to the scenery system aside of new sky and cloud visuals in current beta, which look quite up to standards

If you are using ortho scenery I would suggest using a simple tweak that makes XP roads transparent. The view is then closer to reality.
The new beta has better cloud quality, much improved.
A couple of friends who tested it had frequent crashes to desktop with it though and reverted to the stable release, thus I did not try it yet.

A couple of friends reported frequent CTDs with it thus I left my hands from it so far. Does it work stable for you?
