Will this fix the issue where the sound is far too quiet? I've already jumped through a lot of hoops to get the game to even load on my computer (it's a dual octacore CPU set up and this old game didn't like that much), I've also tried extracting the sound files with ScarExplorer and renaming the relevant files, effectively doing something very similar to your patch on my own, but the too-quiet sound issue persists.
