- In this video I will check if there are any differences between Fan Zhendong ALC blade and Viscaria. I'll make measurements using specific devices, but I'll base a lot of conclusions on how it feels to play with these two blades.

Thank you for the review! There are always lots of people say that every series of ALC (Vis, TB ALC, ZJK ALC, LGY, FZD, etc.) is very different, which I don't agree with at all. However they have the exact same structure with the same type of wood, so there shouldn't be any obvious differences, yes? So for me choosing which one to buy is all about which player you like or which blade handle style you prefer.

Hi. There are many different types of SP rubbers, but if you mean fast attacking SP, then yes. I think FZD ALC blade is good for that kind of rubbers. Check out the video I posted today. I think that blade would be even better. I haven't tried it with SP, but I plan to.

Can you explain to me exactly what the differences are between them so I know which one to buy for me? I mean, when exactly should I buy each one of them and which one is suitable for it?
There are many different versions of the W968, I tried one of them myself for a very short time and not with my rubbers. So it's difficult for me to make some comparisons, but it should be softer considering that it has limba for the final layer and the ALC is next to the core, so the composition is completely different compared to the FZD ALC.
And have you tried the viscaria super ALC? How is it compared to normal? What opinion do you deserve or what would you stay with? I have a medium level, currently I play with a nitaku acoustic and a gewo dynatec Zv, but I wanted to try something new with good power but a lot of control and feeling, greetings

Fan fact, Butterfly uses Ayous for the second layer, not Limba. A bunch of woodworkers have analyzed it and found it to be Ayous. Apparently Butterfly uses Limba only for the surface of the blade.

Zelo bih da te pitam jednu stvar. Naime ja sam povratnik u stoni tenis posle 20 i vise godina imam neka poznavanja i osnove ali daleko sam od nekog visokog nivoa. Kako god u proteklih godinu dana sam koristio Joola carbon x pro pa sam nedavno odlucio da se pocastim sa Butterfly Viscaria FL sa Dignics 05 gumama f/b (obe strane iste). Reket bi trebalo da mi isporuce u narednih par nedelja ali me interesuje tvoje misljenje dali je ova guma dobra/adekvatna za Viscaria drvo ili sam mozda ipak trebao ici na 09c. Generalno meni je backhand jaca strana i u odbrani i u napadu.

Viscaria i D05, super odgovaraju jedan drugom. Tako da nisi pogriješio. Što se tiče D09c, to je potpuno drugačija guma od D05. S obzirom da se radi o hibridnoj gumi potrebna je prilagodba i lagana promjena udaraca ako do sad nisi igrao s hibridnim i kineskim gumama. Meni je D09c vrhunska guma, puno bolja od D05, ali to sve ovisi kako pojedincu odgovara. Također i D80 mi je jako dobar, meni za bekend boji od D05. Njegov review objavljujem krajem sljedećeg tjedna.
Ali još jednom D05 top guma i tebi će možda biti bolja nego D09c i D80, ali meni su D09c na forhendu i D80 na bekendu bolja kombinacija od D05.
@@DarioGrd hvala Dario, cekajuci tvoj odgovor (jbg nestrpljivost :) )ipak sam prosledio mail prodavnici od koje narucujem palicu tako da, uspeo sam da se dogovorim da BH ostane D05 a za FH da promene u D09c. A guma ko guma prilagodis se manje ili vise :) pa ako ne odgovara promenicemo na kraju krajeva jel da. :)

@@DarioGrd Ma najbolje bi bilo kad bi mogli da testiramo pa da vidimo sta nam najbolje lezi ali u Makedoniji oni koji se bave amaterskim stonim tenisom uglavnom koriste komercijalne palice do 50-100eur tako da je nemoguce testirati, a i kad sretnes nekog u sali sa takvom palicom i gumama nezgodno ti je da zatrazis da probas tako da to je to moramo tezim (skupljim) putem do savrsenstva 😄
@@surdzo tako je. Uvijek je najbolje da sam probaš, tako da bar znaš otprilike koja vrsta gume/drva ti odgovara. Nakon toga onda je dobro pogledati neke review za koje možeš pretpostaviti da nisu plaćeni da ih netko napravi i za osobu za koju znaš da zna o čemu govori, pa na temelju toga kupovati. Jer u protivno tome nema kraja, uvijek ima neka nova guma ili drvo koje želiš isprobati... i onda potrošiš cijelo bogatsvo na opremu... ko npr. ja :D

Thanks for this Video. I play with Zhang Jike super zlc and the sweetspot is big and super. Is on the market a other offensiv blade with great sweetspot, under 85 g and a lower price than the butterfly super zlc ?
of the blades I've tried, the super zlc has the biggest sweetspot, the only one I've tried that isn't a super zlc and has such a big sweetspot is stiga cybershape

No blade in the universe has a bigger sweet spot than any other blade.
The sweet spot is a SPOT a certain point which is really small and the same for all blades.
You fell into a marketing trap of butterfly with the most expensive blade on the market.
All videos say different things... Some say FZ Alc is thicker, some say its faster, other say its slower and softer... Others say its same as viscaria. I dunno what to believe
Yes, I know :) Maybe it's best to try it yourself then. It should also be taken into account that not every Viscaria is the same, just like every FZD ALC is not the same.

If I may also add my two cents, and please take it as a friendly advice from one TT afocionado to another:
Analyzing the trajectory of your stroke, and the hitting point, you may notice that the blade does a great deal of the work instead of your body--legs, hips, ...
Since you like the classical Chinese setup, i.e. tacky fh, springy bh, you may improve your fh shots greatly if you focus a bit more on the Chinese principle of "power from the ground". To master that, you are certainly better off using a 5-ply wood, like yasaka extra, or nittaku acoustic, the slower and more controlable, the better.
Been there, done that, that is to say--mastering "power from the ground" was a life-changing experience for me.

What do you suggest between Viscaria or Primorac carbon?
In terms of characteristics, they are two completely different blades. Primorac Carbon is extremely fast and will probably suit those who base their game on flat hits and smashes, and the Viscaria is more for those who prefer spin.

Viscaria sin duda alguna. Y más sabiendo que es la que gana los títulos a nivel mundial. Además es perfecta para usar la nueva tendencia flarehand de gomas tacki, como H3 N bs, Battle 2, Skyline, etc.
El revés lo puedes ajustar, más rápido con Tenergy 05, más control con otras gomas profesionales como Fastarc G1, etc.

it all depends on personal preference, but I guess the harimoto alc will be more suitable for more amateurs because it's slower

Fan Zhendong used to play with Vis so Butterfly developed FZD ALC based on the prior. The two share a similar structure with the latter having a slightly thicker core.

a možeš... sve je moguće. defenziva bude sigurno dosta teža s tim reketom nego s nekim defenzivnim drvom, ali zato bude napad bolji. filus dosta napada, pa ako tak igraš, onda bude za napad ok. suigrač u klubu koristi TB ALC za defenzivu, pa ima dobru kontrolu.
