As a footballer...this is why I wear shinguards in pickup games. So when real matches come I'm used to that feeling.
Then again Luis Suarez doesn't even lace up his boots for training so there's different ways to do it.
His first coach in Chicago was Doug Collins. They’d have scrimmages to X points and when Jordan’s team was about to win Collins would have Jordan switch to the team that was losing and Jordan would then lead that team on a comeback to win... practicing overcoming adversity 😤

But also he was already in the glory in his mind. Conor McGregor is the same way- they envision themselves as victors, as champs as the grandmaster of all grandmasters at what they do. Muhammed Ali same way. Bill Russell. Bruce Lee. Kobe Bryant. All of those men had supreme gifts physically but so does everyone else at that level. What they were doing was tapping into their very essence, a consciousness-raising vibration that shook the whole damn world. I think we all have that in us, we just have to realize that we can manifest that in whatever way it comes out for each individual. It's an inward looking. MJ was competing against nobody but himself.

Basketball was not only fun, it kept my mind occupied. It was not just a physical sport, it also taught me communication, teamwork and strategy. Aside from being a 3 point shooter (back then 😂😂), I was very good with assisting, rebounds and chasing down the ball. I love the game and it's something about that shot clock. I used all my adrenaline when it came to basketball. Track is where I started, but I put a lot of heart into basketball.🏀

what I'm trying to say is when your great it really doesn't matter what you say as long as you throw positive words and message out there. Jordan was heck of a player but people underestimate or overlook his salesman and marketing skills. He single handedly build the Jordan Brand. When it comes to Michael Jordan, it has ALWAYS been very clear what GOD gifted him with in the way of talents. I know this because as an athlete myself, I KNEW what it was like to play multiple sports and a competitive level. To be good at "everything" is almost a curse as much as it is a blessing. It was really difficult to choose WHICH SPORT that was worth pursuing with all one has within themselves. I suspect Michael Jordan wanted to live out his childhood dreams (and maybe some of his fathers dreams for him). But, as hard as Michael tried to to "reach that pinnacle" in baseball (just like he did in basketball)...........at some point, he must have realized his GOD GIVEN GIFT was NOT baseball but basketball. Thankfully, for all of his rabid fans, he came back to the game he was created for and brought endless smiles to all of us for one more run. For that, we all thank you Michael Jordan. YOU WERE SIMPLY..........................THE BEST!

1993 I was paralyzed from the chest down after two grueling brain tumor surgeries.
Was in a rehab hospital for three weeks and watched the Bulls and Suns play an awesome finals.
Jordan and the other players inspired me to work hard.
I was told to be happy if I walked again but I ended up playing full court basketball again against the kids until age 52.
No matter what you’re facing you can prevail if you don’t quit.
