    Appreciate the tech but please show the inputs or put them on the screen, it's not easy to see for example which versions of cyclone you're using here

    Just want to say thanks for this amazing video! I knew about some of his more obvious stuff, but the target combo into meaty whirlwind shot into a mix up jump that baits DPs? Incredible. He's got so many safe jumps and so much perfect math, its fun just to see how much stuff is under the hood.

      thank you for the kind words, I appreciate it. Tbh, I did not know it either until it happened against a Blanka player, twice in a row lmao. So who knows, it might not be a universal thing as different DPs have their own unique arc. In any case, hell yeah, he's tons of fun! Sometimes I mix myself up with the setups and I get confused about what I just did and what it leads to. Need enough practice to make it come naturally every time without thinking twice. Happy training!

    Really great video, loved how condensed this was instead of turning it into a 30 min video. Loved all the examples you used for the setups and that you showed them in a real match setting. Keep up the good work : D

      That's good to know, I appreciate your feedback, always helps me understand what the viewers like. Working on a quick Manon guide right now. I hope to be able to release it in time for MK1's release next week. Deadline is tight so I'm trying my best to collect highlights to showcase the tech. Also planning on making an AKI guide when she releases (in 2 weeks). Everything's coming at the same time dunno how I'll be able to manage wish me luck 😅

    Looks like a lot of fun, I'll have to see if this all still applies in this patch as a relative newcomer. I agree with others that showing inputs would help because with Rashid it's not always clear by looking. Overall great variety of options on display here.

    A great job on the video, I think he does need a lot more setplay with the stronger characters. Video was kind of hard to follow as it goes quickly, but other than that I love the fact that you use real matches for examples.

    • @HyperDogeGaming
      @HyperDogeGaming  ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah, he does not have the best damage (except for the 2-3 very situational combos) and his normals are super stubby but he's quite fun. Thank you for your feedback and kind words. Happy training!

      lol is that how people perceive him?! That might be why my opponents are acting so BM online. I even got teabagged a couple times, I'm like "what is their problem?!". I guess people just get tilted by my repeatedly flying over their head and getting away with it 🤣

    Here's a question, can't people OD DP whenever they see and block the arabian cyclone into back + kick? Essentially rendering the mixup useless?

    • @HyperDogeGaming
      @HyperDogeGaming  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      could you please provide a timestamp for me to confirm what you're referring to?

    • @kaancakrtas4401

      @@HyperDogeGaming @4:42 for example, is there a way to bait DP from that forward lunge instead of going for the overhead-low-throw mixup? Otherwise i think someone might use their OD DP immunity, if they have it, to beat that mixup everytime they see that lunge animation
      Also again at 1:20 the meaty charged fireball seems like would be a free OD DP for your opponent

    • @HyperDogeGaming
      @HyperDogeGaming  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      somehow YT put your comments in the "held for review" section :S sorry for the delayed response. To your first question: I don't think there's a safejump within that lunge route. View it simply as a way to reset your combo instead. As you see, the footage is from an actual fight online and this opponent got caught by surprise. You can still try and land with nothing, then walk forward, you might catch a reversal or DP here and there, for sure.
      To your second question: yes, but again, this is actual footage from an online fight and this opponent didn't react properly so it does work by taking opponents by surprise and you could interrupt the charged fireball early if you wanna bait a DP.

    advice for learning this type of stuff intuitively? i can't memorize all this stuff lol

    • @HyperDogeGaming
      @HyperDogeGaming  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would personally recommend building your Rashid skills step by step. Nobody can memorize this all at once. Just start with the basic DR --> overhead (6HP) setup after medium Spinning Mixer. Then, once you land it a couple times in online matches, add a new piece of tech. Then land the new tech online again, then repeat the process.
      Another way to learn I started using is to (literally) take notes in a scrapbook. Watch other Rashid players, then write down something they do that you are not doing. Then, practice it in the lab and see how it feel and whether you like it and want to incorporate it in your gameplay.

      @@HyperDogeGaming thanks for the detailed comment. this video is really helpful so i'm sure i'll come back to it. sf6 is the first fighting game i've tried to play seriously, so the fact that i'm not going to be a good player for a long time is kind of a hard pill to swallow lol

    • @HyperDogeGaming
      @HyperDogeGaming  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @eebbaa5560 well you already got the right attitude. People who think they're gonna be good at something they never tried before have it all wrong. Everybody loses (a LOT) before they start winning. The important thing when you start is to focus on improvement; not winning matches. If you are trying to learn a combo, and then succeed landing in it a real match: you won. THAT's the real victory.

    • @irishpizza2823
      @irishpizza2823 ปีที่แล้ว

      @eebbaa5560 For me personally, I started learning how he plays in neutral first and then started adding the cool stuff on top of that. Honestly I think a lot of Rashid's offense is about being free flowing and keeping yourself varied. Be like water, or air in this case.

  • @idkfa9837
    @idkfa9837 ปีที่แล้ว

    Alot of these things worked in the first week of me playing rashid, but people have sort of gotten an hang of the matchup now, people dont seem to respect almost anything i throw out and have almost completely stopped using cyclone as meaty and have started to opt for strike throw post kd. I do bully characters without a reversal though but most of the characters do have one in the game, i really find it sad that in the end of the day he has to play sf lmfao

    • @HyperDogeGaming
      @HyperDogeGaming  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      agreed that it feels more difficult and we can definitely see the difference with the first weeks! I think we just gotta be more strategic and adapt to the matchups on our side as well. For characters with a reversal, for example, using the OD cyclone DP-safe setup works wonders. And using safejumps also work well although I have noticed the down-HP one gets blocked and you end up in the corner cause people walk forward after it, so not always great.

      @@HyperDogeGamingI'm playing modern rashid in masters around 1500mr 40k lp and I'm very surprised how few people know what to do when you have them in the corner and you are doing Arabian cyclone overhead/grab/low mixups. I Oki them with heavy arabian then do target combo then if they blocked all of that I follow up with light Arabian and do it again

    • @HyperDogeGaming
      @HyperDogeGaming  ปีที่แล้ว

      you follow up with light cyclone on block? lmao, the boldness. I love it! And congrats on making it to Masters! I'm working my way there, currently almost Diamond 3 :)

      @@HyperDogeGaming yeah it loses to di but 99% of the time people don't di. If they are conditioned to di the light you can start doin the heavy and di gets beat out. I've very rarely had to do this though because most people just respect it.

    • @HyperDogeGaming
      @HyperDogeGaming  ปีที่แล้ว

      it also loses on block, it's -6. But I guess you mean you follow up with the floating movement after it? Some people poke you out, but hey maybe it's not a big deal. I'll give it a shot, for sure, thanks for sharing :)

      Gracis por la sugerencia! There are already several guides on that topic on TH-cam so I wonder if it would be redundant... I might look into it and see if maybe there's a lack of quality material because I would rather not duplicate content unnecessarily.
