BTS came from a small company, they started with nothing. Jin who was casted just because of his looks, Suga who left his family and gambled his education just to do what he really wanted to be, Namjoon who was never been supported by his parents, Jimin who thought himself as ugly and fat, Taehyung whose always been part of BTS but was never showed in any promotions- not until debut, Hoseok who seemed to always laugh but never felt as an accomplishment to his father and Jungkook who was very shy and have saved his parents at a young age by auditioning to companies. Remember the days when they were struggling? They even had to sacrifice and work hard just so they could eat? They were squeezing themselves into one small apartment and had to take responsibilities- the reason why they wrote the song ‘move’ Those times when Jimin has to starve himself just because people call him fat and ugly. That one interview where Yoongi said that; it was nice that people listen to their music because Taehyung and Jungkook are good looking. And he thought that it was at least enough. Do you remember when Hoseok was supposed to be the vocalist and Taehyung the rapper, but he chose to rap instead and learn it because Taehyung wanted to be the vocalist. It was Taehyungs dream and Hoseok loves his dongsaeng that much he would sacrifice. Other fanbases were accusing them for plagiarism just because they had the smallest detail whose the same with other big Kpop groups which was actually just a coincidence. There was a time when Yoongi packed 300 gifts and Letters just to give to their 300 fans who will attend at their mini fan meetings. So why do people judge them so fastly? Did you know that Jimin came all the way to Seoul from Busan just to persuade his dreams? Did you know that Taehyung lived with his grandma for almost half of his life making him innocent from what else is out there in our world? Did you know that Jungkook set aside his embarrassment just to meet the others expectations? Yes, he is the Golden maknae, but he suffers too when he sees his hyungs having a hard time, he cries. And there was a time when Jimin caught him crying and the reason was because he missed his family. Jungkook often cries secretly so that his hyungs wouldn’t worry. Did you know that Jin auditioned to make his mother proud of him and so that his mother had something to brag off to those judgmental neighbors they had. He worked hard on his vocals yet people called him talentless. Did you know that Namjoon worked hard just to produce songs yet there was a time when his mother ruined his computer and broke his mike so he could focus on studying? Did you know Hoseok auditioned because he wanted his father to be proud of him? Because he felt he was a disappointment? Those rookie days where they only listened to the awardings and be amazed by their seniors. They couldn’t do anything but watch those idols who received the awards. They were contented. And now they reached the top and became more successful. From 150 fans to 6mil and counting, From a small practice room to a bigger one From a cramped dorm with roommates to a big dorm were they each a room, From one daesang award to more awards and they’ve even won on BBMA’s. BTS never expected this before their fourth year anniversary, they’ve com so far- so far that the only chance we have to see them is to go to their concert (NEVER) meet them along the street with 0.01% chance. When I first became acquainted with BTS, I thought in a very similar way. I thought that it would be perfect to find someone like one of these seven members. But as I grew up with them and learnt more about them, I realized that I don't need to find a boy/girl who has similar traits as BTS. Instead I focused on building myself up and making myself stronger. So I instilled qualities of every member in me. Level headedness of Namjoon Confidence of Jin Passion of Yoongi Positivity of Hoseok Kindness of Jimin Gratitude of Taehyung & Never give up attitude of Jungkook It's hard and I'm still growing but I just wanted to share this and maybe help someone. You don't need to find someone who has these attitudes. These 7 men have already taught us this and so much more. If we love ourselves and keep growing everyday, we'll attract people who are like us. So keep growing and loving yourself!

In fact, I played a BTS Roblox game today. Everybody was talking about their bias. Two people came up to me and asked me who my bias was and I said I couldn't pick. So I just settled it down to Tae and RM. They began calling me names because those were their biases, so I named the other members and they got even more mad. Me, liking J-hope too, said : "Fine, it's J-hope" and they said : " Yeah, you can have him, nobody wants him". Those people were not true Armies and this is why I don't specifically have a bias because I like all of them.

They're like, one of the only boy bands I've ever seen, that actually talk about real life issues and not just about girls, drugs, and past relationships, they are actually really kind and they make sure they are sensitive about topics and careful with the words, although if Anti's or even just rude people that have never heard BTS in their life, find one lyric that sounds weird, or off, they attack them. (Another band like this is Twenty One Pilots, but they don't deal with as much hate)
It's not plagiarism. Every artists take inspiration from others. Like camila cabello when she was writing lyrics, she said that she was listening to one Lana del ray's song instrumental track. Melanie martinez paid hefty amount of money just so she could include a part of lyrics from Lesley gore cry me a river smth. Melanie's pity party song- ['It's my party, and I'll cry if I want to. Cry if I want to, cry if I want to] is from lesley but she paid for it like legally idk. I saw some bts songs like the graduation song, which is clearly the melody is form another artist but they composed their own lyrics.

Even with all these difficulties they never gave up. BTS is an example of persistence, and the proof that the world goes around. Now they are one of the biggest groups in the history of music, but what really touches me is that they have never lost their essence and humility.

This is why I think old ARMYs deserve aloooot of respect, they have been through it and helped BTS get through rough times. We need to thank them because without them, we might not even know BTS right now. Sometimes I get a bit mad when some new fans come in acting like they own BTS and know so much. I’ve been an ARMY for about 4 years and I used to spend money on my phone data so much to be able to stream their songs even when I’m not home, I would let it play in my pocket while I’m in class, wasting my data just to get the views up. I used to think that I joined late but now I felt like I was lucky to be able to discover talent earlier than most people. And yes, thanks to new ARMYs, I was able to finally show off BTS to anyone who has ever called them gay, unsuccessful, untalented to my face before. When I go back to watch their first Vlive videos which I was able to watch live, Rookie King, and American Hustle life, I was so nostalgic and sometimes wished I could go back in time to give them each a hug and tell each and every one of BTS that they will succeed someday. But at the end of the day, we all love them, no matter late or early. BTS is too wonderful not to share, but I get it if someone gets selfish XD when it comes to BTS.

Sounds like a bunch of people who are scared of how big they are, I'm 51 and only started listening to bts not long now. I think they are very talented young men. I can't understand what they are singing, I know I can find their songs in English but I like To hear them in Korean. I put their songs on repeat all. Makes this old person sleep great.

I cried when he was crying and talking about his grandmother and when people were making fun of him and threatening him and making jokes out of his grandma. To be honest i cant believe such people exist in this world, its disgusting and being jealous juet fause your favourite group didnt win and signing stupid petitions just to be "fair" ugghh when can this world change, and be a world were no - one's judged by thier looks appearances what they wear and what they like. A world were there's peace and fairness to EVERYONE. P.S I've never commented this much before, also I'm a 13 years old girl 😀 I cried even more, its so hard to see them struggle or anyone. I only got to know of BTS October of 2017. I never knew about all of the hate they got and even death threats. BTS saved my own life because I was so depressed before this. Listening to them calmed me and as Namjoon said “if we can make your sadness reduce by even 1% that is enough for us” I love them so much.
N A I became an ARMY in October 2017 like you but because I felt that even if it was kpop it was different from other groups but after few months I got to know about their struggles and now I love them also as people and not only music. I'm obsessed with them that I also cry often thinking about their hardship. And I used to be a cold person before. BTS really changed my way to view things. I'm glad I know them 💜
I got introduced to BTS less than a week ago, and I have never, EVER loved a group so much in my life before. I have binged so many videos, sad moments, cute moments and funny moments. This video has really shown me how much ARMY love their boys, and will go off at anyone who tries to hurt them. It's not even funny, some anti's are just heartless losers who think bullying people is funny and will get them somewhere. But no, LOVE is stronger than HATE. BTS is strong and passionate with their careers and love their army. They're not talentless, ugly, useless, unhardworking. No. They are the exact opposite. I love BTS with all my heart. Jin, Taehyung,Namjoon,Jimin,Jeon,Jung and Yoongi. BTS is nothing without all 7 of these beautiful members.

Jealousy, insecurity, & competition are some big factors I can think of. This can be seen also in Western fandoms but to a lesser degree. The Korean industry is highly competitive so this can lead to some to feel frustration & hate for other groups.
Bangtan Butterfly oh yeah, i was ask about the same thing on another med soc, why army got more dislike than other fandom. Even i say that since bts debut, army always got more dislike. But every answer that i get always toward to army self, like immature or toxic army, insensitive to other fandom, always brag bts everywhere. N i still not get it. I’m an army ever since boy in luv era, I discovered BTS when I was suffering from depression, I felt lonely, weak and ashamed and for some reason I started supporting them, somehow I got inspired by them. I remember crying my eyes out while listening to Tomorrow. And as they grew, it felt like I grew with them. They inspired me to become the better version of myself, not to be ashamed for something that wasn’t my fault and to speak up my feeling and thoughts. Coincidentally, on may 5th(their first win) it was also my first consultation with my therapist. No one can say that these boys don’t deserve the success that they have, they worked hard for it! BTS showed to the world that with hard work and perseverance even underdogs can become a king! Their lyrics are conscious, they promote equality and self love! How can someone hate them or wish their harm! How petty can those people be? Anyway, BTS will keep rising and breaking records because they deserve it. And I will always be here to support them!!

I can't believe anti's did that much just to bring bts' fame down. it's not like we ever tried to do that to their favorite artists. People on earth are so cruel. This made my heart break.
My only regret is not being able to be there to support them when they needed me - from the start of it all. This when I was in the phase of realizing that I liked anime and was exploring other parts of myself. It's okay if I don't ever see them in real life, there are millions of girls and boys that can fill in my shoes waiting to meet these beautiful boys. I was young, and oblivious to the world - I truly believed at this time that everyday felt the same, I never thought of hurting myself but I felt emotionless and that there was no purpose in my life throughout my pre-teen years around the time BTS debuted. These boys gave me so much and changed me for the better, and I am eternally grateful - if I could turn back time I would be there for them, I would stop refusing to use social media and use it to convey that they are amazing and deserve the world. With his sexy and soulful voice plus his amazing dance skills that makes many girls heart beats fast. Jeon Jungkook- this maknae is surely golden. He can do anything perfectly. He looks like a baby but whenever he perform he's becoming this sexy fire ball. Kim Seokjin- our worldwide handsome. This guy has been criticized because they think his looks is the only thing he has. But he proved them wrong. He worked so so hard to become a better singer and dancer. I love these babies so much. I'm sobbing. I didn't realize half of the hardships they went through. I am still new to BTS I only found them in the beginning of August of this year (2018) but I have already become so in love with them and have caught up on so much of their stuff. I cannot fathom how people can so blatantly hate them... there is no reason to because they are full with so much love. They are genuinely my all time favorite band which says a lot because I don't follow bands because generally I don't care.. but they make me care because they are so genuine, hard working, passionate, loving, caring, understanding, giving and the list goes on. Jess, I'm 33 and grew up listening to BSB, N'sync and other 90's boybands but never have i felt this connection more than any other artists other than BTS. I used to buy albums back in the days but not this kind of connection w/ BTS. At my age, I really fangirl over them just like my own blood and want to protect them all the time.

Marie Michelle Quintos same! *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys was what I grew listening too but I never got into music until I was a teenager and even then I never got hyped over specific artist or loved entire albums. But with bts I legit connect with them and I was not prepared to become a fangirl for them because I don’t fangirl on anything really but I genuinely adore them, their music and what they speak for. They honestly have brought so much joy to my life each day since I’ve found them and I’m really grateful for that.
Kpop is ACTUALLY Life of course there are always toxic fans in every fandom out there but armies really do look out for the boys and each other and they are bloody hilarious. Army brings me as much joy as bts does and it’s one of the reasons I like the fandom. I only actually got into kpop probably around the same time I found bts but the first idol group I found was SHINee and slowly but surely I extended my horizons and fell more in love with kpop. I was really sad when I found out what happened to jonghyun. I’m really glad that BIGHIT looks after the boys and that they seem to be a good company unlike a lot of other companies

That's why this brought me to stream BTS real hard and push them to achieve greater heights. I hope all true ot7 Armys feel the same way too. i recently became a fan a few months ago. i'm shocked and surprised on what they have become. it's crazy to think that 7 boys were once living in some little, tiny space with barely any money and no name. now, they're the most successful k-pop group to make it internationally. bangtan is so friggin amazing and i'm extremely grateful to be living in the same era as these amazing, talented, strong men that preform for us, make run! bts on vlive, go to dance practices and work many hours a day, film music videos, and so much more. these seven incredible individuals are the definition of hard-working, are the definition of loyal, and are the definition of the most loving people i have ever seen. thank you, bts, for never giving up in the past five years. thank you for always staying strong, for us. the ARMY's love you, more than anything.

Jin who was casted just because of his looks, Suga who left his family and gambled his education just to do what he really wanted to be,
Namjoon who was never been supported by his parents,
Jimin who thought himself as ugly and fat,
Taehyung whose always been part of BTS but was never showed in any promotions- not until debut,
Hoseok who seemed to always laugh but never felt as an accomplishment to his father and Jungkook who was very shy and have saved his parents at a young age by auditioning to companies.
Remember the days when they were struggling?
They even had to sacrifice and work hard just so they could eat?
They were squeezing themselves into one small apartment and had to take responsibilities- the reason why they wrote the song ‘move’
Those times when Jimin has to starve himself just because people call him fat and ugly.
That one interview where Yoongi said that; it was nice that people listen to their music because Taehyung and Jungkook are good looking.
And he thought that it was at least enough. Do you remember when Hoseok was supposed to be the vocalist and Taehyung the rapper, but he chose to rap instead and learn it because Taehyung wanted to be the vocalist.
It was Taehyungs dream and Hoseok loves his dongsaeng that much he would sacrifice.
Other fanbases were accusing them for plagiarism just because they had the smallest detail whose the same with other big Kpop groups which was actually just a coincidence.
There was a time when Yoongi packed 300 gifts and Letters just to give to their 300 fans who will attend at their mini fan meetings.
So why do people judge them so fastly?
Did you know that Jimin came all the way to Seoul from Busan just to persuade his dreams?
Did you know that Taehyung lived with his grandma for almost half of his life making him innocent from what else is out there in our world?
Did you know that Jungkook set aside his embarrassment just to meet the others expectations?
Yes, he is the Golden maknae, but he suffers too when he sees his hyungs having a hard time, he cries.
And there was a time when Jimin caught him crying and the reason was because he missed his family.
Jungkook often cries secretly so that his hyungs wouldn’t worry.
Did you know that Jin auditioned to make his mother proud of him and so that his mother had something to brag off to those judgmental neighbors they had.
He worked hard on his vocals yet people called him talentless.
Did you know that Namjoon worked hard just to produce songs yet there was a time when his mother ruined his computer and broke his mike so he could focus on studying?
Did you know Hoseok auditioned because he wanted his father to be proud of him?
Because he felt he was a disappointment?
Those rookie days where they only listened to the awardings and be amazed by their seniors.
They couldn’t do anything but watch those idols who received the awards.
They were contented.
And now they reached the top and became more successful. From 150 fans to 6mil and counting,
From a small practice room to a bigger one
From a cramped dorm with roommates to a big dorm were they each a room,
From one daesang award to more awards and they’ve even won on BBMA’s.
BTS never expected this before their fourth year anniversary, they’ve com so far- so far that the only chance we have to see them is to go to their concert (NEVER)
meet them along the street with 0.01% chance.

When I first became acquainted with BTS, I thought in a very similar way. I thought that it would be perfect to find someone like one of these seven members. But as I grew up with them and learnt more about them, I realized that I don't need to find a boy/girl who has similar traits as BTS. In fact, I played a BTS Roblox game today. Everybody was talking about their bias. Two people came up to me and asked me who my bias was and I said I couldn't pick. I used to think that I joined late but now I felt like I was lucky to be able to discover talent earlier than most people. And yes, thanks to new ARMYs, I was able to finally show off BTS to anyone who has ever called them gay, unsuccessful, untalented to my face before.
When I go back to watch their first Vlive videos which I was able to watch live, Rookie King, and American Hustle life, I was so nostalgic and sometimes wished I could go back in time to give them each a hug and tell each and every one of BTS that they will succeed someday.

I only got to know of BTS October of 2017. I never knew about all of the hate they got and even death threats. BTS saved my own life because I was so depressed before this. Listening to them calmed me and as Namjoon said “if we can make your sadness reduce by even 1% that is enough for us” I love them so much.
N A I became an ARMY in October 2017 like you but because I felt that even if it was kpop it was different from other groups but after few months I got to know about their struggles and now I love them also as people and not only music. I'm obsessed with them that I also cry often thinking about their hardship. And I used to be a cold person before. BTS really changed my way to view things. I'm glad I know them 💜

I got introduced to BTS less than a week ago, and I have never, EVER loved a group so much in my life before. I have binged so many videos, sad moments, cute moments and funny moments. This video has really shown me how much ARMY love their boys, and will go off at anyone who tries to hurt them. It's not even funny, some anti's are just heartless losers who think bullying people is funny and will get them somewhere. But no, LOVE is stronger than HATE. BTS is strong and passionate with their careers and love their army. They're not talentless, ugly, useless, unhardworking. No. They are the exact opposite. I love BTS with all my heart. Jealousy, insecurity, & competition are some big factors I can think of. This can be seen also in Western fandoms but to a lesser degree. The Korean industry is highly competitive so this can lead to some to feel frustration & hate for other groups.

I’m an army ever since boy in luv era, I discovered BTS when I was suffering from depression, I felt lonely, weak and ashamed and for some reason I started supporting them, somehow I got inspired by them. I remember crying my eyes out while listening to Tomorrow. And as they grew, it felt like I grew with them.
They inspired me to become the better version of myself, not to be ashamed for something that wasn’t my fault and to speak up my feeling and thoughts. Coincidentally, on may 5th(their first win) it was also my first consultation with my therapist.
No one can say that these boys don’t deserve the success that they have, they worked hard for it! BTS showed to the world that with hard work and perseverance even underdogs can become a king! Their lyrics are conscious, they promote equality and self love! How can someone hate them or wish their harm! How petty can those people be?
Anyway, BTS will keep rising and breaking records because they deserve it. And I will always be here to support them!!

Taehyung revealed the news about his grandma because he is comfortable and open with us. Those tweets were taken overboard. I can't believe anti's did that much just to bring bts' fame down. it's not like we ever tried to do that to their favorite artists. People on earth are so cruel. This made my heart break.
My only regret is not being able to be there to support them when they needed me - from the start of it all. This when I was in the phase of realizing that I liked anime and was exploring other parts of myself. It's okay if I don't ever see them in real life, there are millions of girls and boys that can fill in my shoes waiting to meet these beautiful boys. I was young, and oblivious to the world - I truly believed at this time that everyday felt the same, I never thought of hurting myself but I felt emotionless and that there was no purpose in my life throughout my pre-teen years around the time BTS debuted. These boys gave me so much and changed me for the better, and I am eternally grateful - if I could turn back time I would be there for them, I would stop refusing to use social media and use it to convey that they are amazing and deserve the world. I'm sorry for being emotional, I know this is long - I'm just happy they're getting everything they deserve and I know they'll gain even more in the future. I'm so proud of these seven goofballs 😭❤

I'm sobbing. I didn't realize half of the hardships they went through. I am still new to BTS I only found them in the beginning of August of this year (2018) but I have already become so in love with them and have caught up on so much of their stuff. I cannot fathom how people can so blatantly hate them... there is no reason to because they are full with so much love. They are genuinely my all time favorite band which says a lot because I don't follow bands because generally I don't care.. but they make me care because they are so genuine, hard working, passionate, loving, caring, understanding, giving and the list goes on. They do all they can to make sure everything is perfect, people have fun, and most importantly that they are sending a good message to people through their music. They understand that what they do has power and with that power there is great responsibility and they never take that for granted or abuse it. They do all they can to make sure they give back what they are given and make this world a little better. They deserve all the love in the world. I know their parents must be proud of them. I used to buy albums back in the days but not this kind of connection w/ BTS. At my age, I really fangirl over them just like my own blood and want to protect them all the time.

Marie Michelle Quintos same! *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys was what I grew listening too but I never got into music until I was a teenager and even then I never got hyped over specific artist or loved entire albums. But with bts I legit connect with them and I was not prepared to become a fangirl for them because I don’t fangirl on anything really but I genuinely adore them, their music and what they speak for. They honestly have brought so much joy to my life each day since I’ve found them and I’m really grateful for that.
Kpop is ACTUALLY Life of course there are always toxic fans in every fandom out there but armies really do look out for the boys and each other and they are bloody hilarious. Army brings me as much joy as bts does and it’s one of the reasons I like the fandom. I only actually got into kpop probably around the same time I found bts but the first idol group I found was SHINee and slowly but surely I extended my horizons and fell more in love with kpop. I was really sad when I found out what happened to jonghyun. I’m really glad that BIGHIT looks after the boys and that they seem to be a good company unlike a lot of other companies

i recently became a fan a few months ago.
i'm shocked and surprised on what they have become. it's crazy to think that 7 boys were once living in some little, tiny space with barely any money and no name. now, they're the most successful k-pop group to make it internationally. bangtan is so friggin amazing and i'm extremely grateful to be living in the same era as these amazing, talented, strong men that preform for us, make run! bts on vlive, go to dance practices and work many hours a day, film music videos, and so much more. these seven incredible individuals are the definition of hard-working, are the definition of loyal, and are the definition of the most loving people i have ever seen. thank you, bts, for never giving up in the past five years. thank you for always staying strong, for us. the ARMY's love you, more than anything.

I'm the same age as your daughter.. a proud Army, and just slowly turn my mom (who happened to be around your age) to be a senior Army too.. she began to talk about them a lot.. and i can't be happier.. YAY
