Taken from Patch Notes for reference: Plaguebearer/Pestilence Rework • Plaguebearer's night priority increased above base priority. This allows PB to visit before most roles in the game and spread plague before other roles visit. This change should increase the rate of plague spreading as well as making it more consistent. • Pestilence, Horsemen of the Apocalypse no longer has a direct attack, does not rampage, and does not attack players that visit them. • When Pestilence emerges all plague on players will transform into pestilence. • When a player visits someone they will spread a stack of pestilence. • When a player visits Pestilence they will spread a stack of pestilence onto themselves. • When Pestilence visits someone they will add the maximum stacks of pestilence to their target. • At 3 stacks of pestilence a player will succumb to pestilence and die. • Horsemen cannot have more than 1 stack of pestilence applied to them.
Nah Pest is quite fine, he's just as fast as Baker (as he can add stacks of pestilence to his targets himself if town refuses to visit), townie could spread pestilence (if they are bad/want NAs to win) to compensate for Baker's nuking the players without Bread, in fact it could even be slightly stronger than Baker if other NAs can also spread pest with their visits (since they also hold their own stack of pestilence, limited to 1 so that they don't reach the threshold to die) Also feels more like a Pest role than another War ripoff, is more unique and has their own mechanics and interactions.
@@mtacrdipo7870 yeah i like the concept, but it coyld still get buffed imo One of my favorite buffs ive seen for it was all players who do NOT visit have another pestilence stacked on them Forcing Town to actually visit
I think pest should astral visit so that you can't find it by tracking players, but maybe also visit two players each night because 1 kill/night feels bad as an apoc transform (assuming that everybody stays home). Alternatively, increase the max Pestillence stacks to 4 and then have it so that visiting players have stacks added to themselves as well as spreading it to players so that killing roles are forced to ration their visits, in addition to increasing their stack if they visited pest. A seer, for example, would go from 1 stack to 3 stacks on the night after Pest transforms, but would go to 4 stacks and die if they visited pest. As a final option, increase the stacks to 4 but also make it so that everybody's stacks passively increase at night even if nothing happens. An amusing thing from this rework btw is that visiting town members can "kill" non-apoc players by visiting them at night. If you have two seers in the game you can even get a pseudo-rampage by both visiting, say, 3 and 7 thereby increasing the stacks on both of those to 3 and killing them instantly.
Best feeling is when Seer finds 2 enemies and you meteor him and get a town shot by Deputy and the other town lynched because no one expects Enchanter so Admirer gets lynched as Conjurer. Gotta love wonky scenarios no one expects. Keep the umms coming.
This will suffer from Baker syndrome. Quite easy to transform, but unless you are on 4 horsemen or can coerce a few NE, you will not be able to take advantage of your power before being Lynched
Thematically, it's an improvement, which allows it to better distinguish itself from War. Gameplay wise, absolutely just taking what is already the worst Horseman and nerfing it further.
I hate to say it but... I don't like this rework. Not only is the rampage ability gone, but the jailor and witch can absolutely gobsmack you sideways since you no longer instakill visitors, and are also no longer control immune.
I'd recommend a few games of Classic, but the problem is that I've heard the games don't fill up at the moment. All Any is good, but since there could be anything then it can be difficult to get familiar with roles. TT would probably be better since that normally has a set role list, I've seen people make custom games a few times for it.

The concept is fire🔥 tbh. But town known that when Pest/War emerge. They stay home. If they really want to make Pest like Baker that much just after the end of the 1st night Pest emerge. Dealt basic attack to all plague carriers. 2nd night do Powerful attack and 3rd night do Unstoppable attack. Still a weak NA. But hey! Cooler isn't it😂
Honestly, once pest transforms, it should kill people based on when they were infected automatically. Makes pest feel like an actual disease than a shitty berz or baker

The pb buffs are nice. I don’t like the pest rework tho because it seems like an even more delayed baker when people know to stay home.
True, PB buff is nice
Pest nerf is horrible

Yeah I've had a few games as PB since the patch and managed to get to pest in all of them. I'm not sure if I'm a fan of the pest changes either 🤔

THANK YOU Chelly for PLAYING as REWORKED PLAGUE BEARER 🙏

Yeah, Enchanter is one of those roles that either does nothing or causes the town to tear itself apart. There is no middle ground.
This will suffer from Baker syndrome. Quite easy to transform, but unless you are on 4 horsemen or can coerce a few NE, you will not be able to take advantage of your power before being Lynched
It depends on the game. I won solo as the new pest.
oh my god this game had me rolling
well played LOL
I don’t get the pest rework it just seems like a nerf
It rlly just is a nerf, completely
Kinda sux bc Pest isnt the best Apoc anyways
Thematically it's better, since when it transformed previously it was effectively just "war but worse", but mechanically it's way too easy to counter.

Its a buff lmao
@@Andrew-ch3xj It went from worse war to worse famine, it would be better if it emerges faster in early game so its not just worse famine
Chelly forgot the conjurer again LOL
I'm abit confused on the pest rework honestly, it takes so much effort to spread the plague, you'd think they'd give you a better pay off

Doesn’t the plague thingy get stacked next to their name once they visit pest, then they die anyways?
wow, now instead of it being a bad war its a bad famine now! hooray
Chelly, Chelly, Chelly. The poor Conjurers will have their REVENGE.
Watch me get Conjurer and forget I conjured someone 👀

why didn't sc reap 12 when you went on 12?
I think the SC was new ish or kept tabbing out of the game.

Plaguebearer's night priority increased above base priority. This allows PB to visit before most roles in the game and spread plague before other roles visit. Bad rework tbh.
Just gutted an already worse version of War and replaced them to be a weaker version of Famine
