I like the LS platform but man LS content has been so stale for me the last couple of years, look forward to your coyote journey! Seems to be the new thing to do these days.
It sure does and I couldn’t agree more. The ls is just such a cookie cutter combo. Which is awesome! But there just is a lack of trying new things when it becomes this evolved
Those coatings on the rods and pistons is OEM the new Mark 5 Supra’s are using the same stuff in their OEM motors something to do with the Auto Start and Stop system when they shut off and crank back up when the vehicle moves again.
The block portion (aside from the counterbores) is done in a conversational. So it picks up the dowel and sets x but the rest is determined from the center of rotation. So with that Z being .04 high the numbers won’t come out right. I could comp it but that can get weird

Ahhh that’s very interesting!!!
Pick you up a Boss 302 crank from the 12 or 13 SnotRocket makes over 2,500 hp with that crank and has no problems.
for $500 its a no brainer
Hell ya that’s what i ordered!
@@OverydeMotorsports that’s gonna have the potential for some serious power!!
I Def want to see the sleeve video
I’m pretty excited for it!
Does that machine run g code? Like couldn’t you probed off on the top of that crank bar and g50x1” and just set the x there at what it is actually is

@@OverydeMotorsports I got ya I have very minimal experience in conversational so wasn’t sure I run a giant 200hp CNC lathe but it’s all g code lol
What gearbox do you plan to use with the coyote?
Th400 of some sort either a close ratio or a standard with a 2nd leave option
Dude I can't believe you're going to the dark side with a coyote
Hahaah 🐺🐺
Crazy how you're coming across these cheap engines. The good thing you can do the work yourself and save a lot of money.
For sure!
